1976 Carrie with Sissy will always be the best. Those other wannabe Carrie movies wasn’t nothing. I watch Carrie on Tubi Roku & I have the DvD. I Love this movie. 💜
The book was awesome too. My dad was a Stephen King fan and introduced me to his books. Carrie and Dolores Claiborne are my favorites. Movies included.
This was the 1st horror movie I ever saw..I was 12. It was around 1989, even though I know the movie is older. I was having a sleep over with a girl friend-one friend over. It was late at night..& we had come across this movie-thinking, it was really scary.. It was bad..but, I screamed!! When her hand came up from the grave...and, woke up my parents!! I couldn't sleep for 2 weeks after that!! And, I covered my face when..she used her powers at the prom!! What did I know??😮 🤷♀️ Now, the original is one of my favorites
That's why they're such great movies, they aren't played by teens. I would say almost all teen flicks ever made are actors over 21. Unless it's a rated G movie.
I ❤ his films and I dream that one day (soon to be relics) movie theaters would have 24 hr moviethons of BdP films and many other directors body of work. For example, a Spike Lee 24 hr moviethon or Martin Scorsese 24-hr moviethon, etc. I'm old enough to remember going to midnight and 24-hour RHPS movie showings. But not a Directors body of films. And, I ❤ the entire movie theater experience, from the smell of popcorn popping and the entire smell of theater pre-hot dogs and nachos. With my popcorn mixed together with my favorite candy and soda. Drive-ins included. I ❤ that sensation. Now that's enough talking, "shhh.." as the lights dim, and the curtain rises...
Back in UK cinemas on 18th of October, looking forward too seeing it for the first time at the cinema, couldn't when it was first released as I was only 11 when it came too my local ABC cinema in Dover
In the book it's clearer that the bucket kills him. It the movie it looks like an aluminum bucket but in the book it still weighs alot after it's emptied.
Most of these people were minor characters. I was surprised to learn the guy with the Tux T shirt was only 14....is that right? He looked older. In any case, how many movie today show a scene with a bunch of high school girls(even though they were played by older actors) totally nude?
What's astounding is how good all the women look except for the one who played Norma, who's apparently stuck in a time warp !! You can retire the baseball cap now!! The men all look twenty times older than the women, they say men age better !! Who came up with that one ?? Bull 🐂🐂!!

Fun Fact- Actress Priscilla Pointer is Amy Irving's Mom.
In real life…
I can't believe she's a 100...wow
I will always love her 🙏💕😘

Such a horror classic. The book was good too!
The house where “Carrie” was filmed is in Santa Paula, CA.
My gf at the time lived next door to that house.

Betty Buckley who played the gym teacher was only 29 not much older and some incidences even younger than the HS characters.
@2:00 P.J. Soles Still wearing the same baseball cap !
i got this movie on dvd and still good
Aren't they aging well ...... wow the ladies are still babes..... this whole bunch ..... good looking.
I agree !! The ladies have definitely held up the best and do look great !! They should be proud of themselves !! 👏😃😃😃👏👏 2:53
One of the best horror movies of all time.
💖
Like Grease and so many other 70’s “teen” flicks, actors in their mid-twenties playing 17 year olds…

The Beak 14 😮

Actually thought Sissy spacek was pretty with her cute freckles 😁 Amy Irving Beautiful as well .
Such a great memorable movie, although the book is a lot different than movie, especially the end

The picture of Cameron DePalma looks suspiciously like the rabbi who got caught on To Catch a Predator😂😂
P.J. Soles aged the best of them all! Because she never smoked, drank or did drugs!
And now I'm feeling old.
Doug cox was 14 ?
Plug it up😊
That was so mean - glad she got revenge on all of them!
There’s several mistakes. You need to go back and correct
I thought Edie McClurg had passed before Frank Bonner... Who could I be confusing her with? This will drive me nuts.
'They're all gonna laugh at you....they're all gonna laugh at you'. What happened to tommy ross after the bucket hit him and he was knocked cold?
He died.

Betty Buckley died long ago
Uhhhh, nope. She's been in several movies in the last several years.
This might be way out there, but maybe you're thinking of Diana Hyland, the woman Betty Buckley replaced on Eight is Enough?
Originals
