    I love my evo. Be sad when it goes for my reefer350. I've learnt so much in the 2years of having this tank after the disaster of my rsm130d due to my old lfs being crap for advice. Kettering aquactics have been great with me and I will be getting everything from them for my next build. Love your lfs

    Great audio, save these settings 👍I'd refrain from stating that bottled bacteria will work 'instantly'. A good thread on R2R showed it could be between 2 days to 2 weeks to show a noticeable affect on ammonia levels. Interested in your ammonia history to prove this though 🦉🍻

    Definitely loved this video! Liked and subscribed so I can keep up on the learning since I want a saltwater tank. I have 3 freshwater tanks now but want to upgrade my hobby to something a little more challenging. Did my research on beginner saltwater tanks and read that beginners should have a tank at least 55 gallons because of everything that can go wrong. Sounds pretty expensive to find out if I will fail or succeed. Anyone have any thoughts/opinions on that?

Just bought my new return pipe to replace my duck bills, to create waves with no need for wave maker, also bought the smart switch! Im also surprised how quickly you added fish? For a quicker cycle you can lower your salinity. fish are fine at lower salinity but bacteria multiply faster.

    I copied this method on a fluval 32.5 gal. and everything is going VERY well! its been 7 days since adding fish. the only thing is I don't like to turn the light off because my fish (2 baby clowns) get SPOOKED. They get scared and panic. soo I leave the blue light on very dim and they seem to sleep wayy better with zero stress. any suggestions? just afraid of algae.

    • @bobwright8789
      @bobwright8789 4 года назад +1

      Good question. The answer is yes, it takes anywhere from two to six weeks. People who say otherwise don’t understand the “nitrogen cycle”... there are no magical chemicals to speed up the cycling process other then bottled bacteria. However, even that still requires several weeks in the water with an ammonia source to grow to the necessary level to accommodate the amount of waste a fish will produce, especially in a small tank. I would under no circumstances follow the advice in this video if I were you my friend. You asked a good and thoughtful question, therefore you will be a wonderful fish keeper at some point in time. Good luck to you sir.

    • @MyMidlifeCrisis2024
      @MyMidlifeCrisis2024  5 лет назад

      Yes! No need to over do it in such a small tank. They will be the feature of the tank. I'll also have inverts like sexy shrimp to add a bit of extra colour and movement. If you were to upgrade the Filtration then if you wanted to you could definitely add more fish if you wanted. You just need to be mind of the space they have available.
