  • Props: Pilates Mini-Circle or Standard Ring, Wunda Chair ‪@BalancedBodyPilates‬
    Focus: Full Body w/Upper & Lower Body movement initiating from the core
    Difficulty Rating: 3 Intermediate Level
    Duration: 45 Minutes + Stretch
    Set-Up at the START of class:
    - 1 Spring on #3 (notches numbered from bottom to top)
    - No handle bars (or down and out of the way)
    - Pilates Mini-Circle or Standard Ring on chair surface
    I am back with another Wunda Chair workout for you! This 45 minute flow hits the full body, but focuses on all upper body and lower body movement generating from the “powerhouse” your CORE! The flow will require quite a bit of concentration and focus to make sure the movement initiates properly. I will be referring to your arms and your legs as “pistons” that operate with power supplied by the core. You will use the Pilates Mini-Circle or standard size Pilates Ring to help deepen the connection maintaining proper alignment as you work. We will not be using handle bars in this workout so you will see mine have been removed so that they don’t hinder movement. Due to the balance required without handle bars and the lighter spring load I am categorizing this workout as a intermediate level 3/4. Spring load will be set to one spring on #3 (third notch from the bottom). This is a lighter spring load so recruitment of the core will be challenging at times. Please feel free to adjust spring load as needed for your body and level of experience.
    The Wunda Chair is such a fun piece of equipment…get ready to fire up that core! This workout is a solid 45 minute flow followed by a 5 minute stretch at the end.
    I am here for any and all questions.

    Thank you so much for the wonderful video. I have a balanced body chair, how are the springs related? I have two different sets of springs that are different colored and two pegs. How would that correlate with detention you’re using in this work out thank you

    • @JessPFit
      @JessPFit  Год назад

      Angel, so overall the rule of thumb is to think about the springs providing support when we are standing, but not too much so that the body needs to stabilize and support itself. When we use the pedal for resistance think about not "muscling" through the work...you want to feel it, but all movement should originate from the core!!!

    This was a tough workout! I have a Stott stability chair. I have a question about a possible modification to the up stretches. I have really bad arthritis in my wrist and thumb joint. Is there a modification to do this in your forearms? TIA!

    • @JessPFit
      @JessPFit  6 месяцев назад

      Hi Patricia! Yes, you can absolutely do the upstretch on your forearms!! Be aware that range of motion will be significantly less, but you will really feel it as you work more proximal to the core! and are forced to use less of the upper body strength. I love this question and the answer is a big YES!!! Go for it!
