Yeah it was really cool to see. It's fun sitting in the apartment and opening the balcony doors and just hear it happen with moist warm air blowing around.
Yeah it was hella crazy! How did you find this video? I meant to just show it to a few friends; somehow it got 1000+ views haha. Tokyo nice place! What do you do for work ? Economy not as good as USA right now tho!
Odd story... I've been a long time sub to Nippon Wandering, Tokyo Street View, Rambalac and recently Tokyo Live Camera...but every few days I'll search around to find more similar channels... Few days ago I noticed all my channels were showing this same fantastic storm...so I did a search on "Tokyo thunderstorm", sorted by date and found your vid along with a BUNCH of others. As for what I do/did... I'm semi-retired now, but I used to do INFOSEC (information security)...before that I was in the military and served all over SE Asia During Desert Storm. Job was stressful, so I used to spend hours walking around the cities in the rain to decompress. I did this everywhere I was stationed or sent but discovered my favorites were downtown Seoul, Tokyo and Hong Kong (I was one of the few people who loved Blade Runner when it first came out, so doing this was like walking in a dream for me). That's why I love vids like yours so much. Not really worried about making a lot of money at my age, good investing saved me from the economic collapse here in the US. I just want to live in Asia again, but I'm sure no one really wants to hire old dudes with outdated computer skills ... Thanks again for the cool video.
sure no problem! Yeah, I love walking around city to decompress too haha. I used to work for navy as a contractor and went to Hawaii for work all the time; thats when I decided to study Japanese;... and the rest is history! I have to learn some new software skills myself haha. getting behind!
Sweet! I was based out of K-Bay. Small world. Are you doing ESL? I'd been thinking about doing that for a while just for the giggles (linguistics was a small part of what I did as a jarhead)...but I heard the ESL industry in Japan is kinda crappy.
@@psygnale hey again; I do free lance computer graphics and stuff here. I used to work in finance in Tokyo; so technically i dont have to be here anymore haha; just like the city :)
That is a massive lightning barrage! ⚡️🌩️⛈️. One of the lightning bolts struck an electric pole that I literally heard this zapping sound before the loud thunder banging at the 0:38 mark!
Thunderstorms in Japan are just one of the things that make it Beautiful

that storm looked like it was NUTS. I've seen it captured on a half-dozen YT channels!
Man...I wish I could find work there...

The sounds of some of those thunderclaps are amazing!

0:55 was when LyndonFPS rages
0:37 you can hear the static pop right before the thunder hits
Yeah I can still remember that like it was yesterday. That static pop right before was even more surreal than in the video !
its an upward leader that failed to connect.
I've been through a few like these before while vacationing in Florida. They can get ridiculous sometimes.
I like thz weather
Crazy wow good shots
Normally Japan gets frequent light showers but never rare storms
