How do you break yourself free from feeling judged by others?

    • @MorganLeighMiller
      @MorganLeighMiller 2 года назад +13

That's hard because deep down everyone wants to be accepted and understood....even by strangers! Its a weird built in thing. Even the most confident people still get insecure and their feelings hurt when judged by others.
I guess the freeing yourself comes when you know that you cant please everyone, you just have to be happy with yourself and the right people will find you. When the right people are around, you dont have to worry about the negative judgment.
I heard a quote "you could be the sweetest, juciest peach in all the world and there will still be people who dont like peaches."

How I see judgement from others, because I was once struggled with judging people from left to right, is that when people judge - it is often a reflection of themselves, never about you. So I learned to never things personally because the once who judge us, are judging themselves. Hope this helps someone out there! ❤️

So exciting to see the truth finally being exposed and talked about! If we can get out of victim mode and into self empowerment and responsibly, our lives will be pure magic and bliss!! Its all about perspective!! Once you make that shift from victim to victor you will be forever blessed.

This is SO TRUE. Its important to understand in this interview that she isn't blaming, she isn't saying you are making it up. No. The body listens. The body responds. The body will help you get out of situations that your mind doesn't want to be in - whether thats giving you a panic attack to flee, or an eczema flare.

So I haven’t even watched this yet. I have been healing for 14 years aggressively, it’s been my daily practice. It took me to ask what this big block was in my life and I got the answer like I always do and this is one of the hardest and most important ones. I am so grateful for this, this moment and Marisa. I pray everyone here finds their peace.

Her theory about OCD due lack of sense of control is 100% on point. I am from Afghanistan but born in Canada. My mom have OCD about home cleaning and order of stuff ever since I can remember. So this theory of trying to maintain order on material items due to lack of sense of control on other things completely applies to her since she lost every sense of control and normalcy due to the war.

This was lovely. But also I feel parents have to be open to change in order for kids to feel acknowledged. Its an internal struggle dealing with a parents who have OCD/other mental health issues but they don't do anything even if their now adult children request it. It can break a whole family apart, even if they are the most loving family. One has to really do a lot of separate work/healing/confidence to move forward with this type of environment.

I have half cracked this code of your beliefs are what you tell yourself and so forth it's because I saw this great quote over the internet
becareful of what you tell yourself and keep your words clean,
because your words become your beliefs and your beliefs in turn after your thoughts and then your thoughts dictate and become your actions.
I actually have done this test on myself to alter my thoughts sometimes because I am a writer to get into characters mindsets for stories but when I started saying to myself because I wrote about spiders and then I wanted to apply it to my life so I started saying how "I don't really want to kill spiders really" and kept repeating it to myself on auto pilot, in the end I looked for various ways to remove them from my house without seeing a spider running towards me panicking and killing it because when they do move my heart jumps out of my chest so I use the hand dust pan and brush and get rid of them out my patio door and I think I'm being a lot kinder for it

Stress and eating: I‘ve noticed this in my job. My female boss is flying, her schedule is full - and her desk is full of candy bars and sweets. Many female in our job are obese. I am getting obese, after being three months in this job, because I noticed that I sooth myself with not so healthy food. It is terrible. But, I know the reason, I can do something about it.

    I desperately want to die.
I can no longer bear this hell that I'm in...
    I HAVE SEVERE PTSD.
The man whom I thought was my best friend,
    he gave me this PTSD...
    I want to die.
    I beg to die.
    My entire life is hell.
    Just suffering.
The man whom I thought was my best friend...
    He raped my soul.
My soul is anguished and tormented and raped,
I am so so so traumatized. I have SEVERE PTSD.
My soul is raped. He raped me. Oh the anguish and the agony.
He fucked me up. Ruined me. Destroyed me.
Raped my soul; shattered my heart; fucked with my mind.
I am debilitated from the trauma.
Paralyzed frozen. Living in constant terror and panic.
    I DIE INSIDE.
THE PAIN IS UNCEASING AND UNBEARABLE.
I LIVE IN A STATE OF PERPETUAL TRAUMA AND PANIC.
    He betrayed and abandoned me,
    discarded me like garbage!!!
    (HOW THE FUCK COULD HE?)
    Replaced me for another.
My mind can't fathom, my heart can't comprehend.
I live in perpetual panic and constant longing...
How could he not miss me?
How could he do this to me?
    * An important thing:
people (such as I) who had a difficult childhood,
especially those who never had their emotional needs met,
are prone to limerance. The reason is because we were always prone to imagining
a parallel reality, a whole world of fantasies we could escape to...
Fantasies have always been a safer world for us than the real one,
so our mind is already used to this dynamic (it's basically like 'muscle memory').
When something triggers this dynamic, it's like opening a portal
to our safe fantasy world, and as destructive as it is, we are used to actually loving it... *
    REMINDER TO SELF:
    This was a karmic friendship,
meant to be there for a limited time (17-months-ish)
    to teach you, about yourself!
    About boundaries, about self-love,
    about self-respect, about self-worth, etc...
About a whole plethora of magical, juicy, alchemical things!
The universe, God, your guides, your ancestors, are pushing you, lovingly,
in the right direction: into your own magnificent powerful magical freedom!
When you let go. The universe will catch you. It’s talking to you.
Let go of everything and trust the universe. It’s within you. ✨💫
    NOTE TO MY TWIN FLAME:
Dearest twin flame, I’m working on myself,
I am being 100% healed, on every level, in every way.
This is my purification process. I am doing this for me, for you, for us.
I’m proud of myself, and I’m getting ready for you.
    I love you.

To the disabled/ chronically/ terminally ill people who may be reading this. No. You didn’t manifest your illness. I can see why this type of pop psychology appeals to healthy people, but to those born with chronic illnesses it can be extremely harmful. You can make the best of your life with an illness without subscribing to the idea that the illness is your fault. You can find your own way to thrive whilst accepting that you might not get better. Illnesses just exist, it’s really nice to imagine we can get rid of them, but that’s not real life.
Able bodied people- please watch yourself when you are viewing the disabled as subconsciously lazy, attention seeking, trying to get out of things. These are the oldest ableist tropes in the book, this video just dresses them up in a pretty package.
Don’t come in my replies telling me I’m a bitter ill person, life is great for me right now and I am thriving in every category WITH my incurable disease. I accept myself fully as I am, illness included, and work hard with what I have. I don’t dwell in disappointment or victimhood. But I also don’t blame myself or subconscious self for the situation I’m in either. Both of those are so toxic and will get in the way of your success in life

I know my Mom's a perfectionist and is harder on herself which I am understanding and my sister in her own way is slim due to the fear of being overweight again that it's the fear because they think in their own ways they're not good enough and I just remember telling myself when I look in the mirror I'm never going to look at myself and start expressing loudly (especially in front of young children and because you don't know when they are going to be listening,) but if you start telling to your husband oh I'm so fat, look at me I look pregnant or do you think my thighs look massive, I knew I should have worked out what they are doing is by doing that someone like their daughter could be listening over the other side going yeah, this is what Mommy does and now when they look in the mirror I don't like myself. It's one thing to get yourself self conscious but it's another thing when your actions starts affecting your children because children in fact do copy Mommy and Daddy.
What I do is pick parts of myself out that I do like it's not vanity like some people joke but it was about falling in love with myself and what I have to give out to the world and to the people who know me. I'm not going to pick myself apart, I'll give myself an inferiority complex and never be good enough if I think I can see flaws in myself but because I don't do it, I'm a lot kinder to myself which in turn I've become my own best friend both Mom Dad even my sister to a degree will find just about any flaws within me and try and give me a sense of low self worth because that's what I think they are doing because they don't like themselves that's my theory but I fight it. I don't accept what they say.
