Gotta comment on the basic medium tank slander. Stop it, they're actually good even in 1944. No, I'm not kidding. Basic medium tanks are unironically the meta strategy for MP, and work just fine in single player no matter the game year. Upgrading the chassis only gets you a little bit of reliability and armor, but in MP tanks will be pierced no matter how much armor you put on them. This means that upgrading the chassis is just going to drop your production efficiency a ton for barely any benefit. Cheap tanks with riveted armor and lots of breakthrough and attack are almost always better than expensive tanks with heavy armor investment since you can have many more of them. Remember, you can put a 1943 gun on a 1936 chassis just fine and barely lose any efficiency when you switch since the base model is the same. The guns have always been the most important upgrade for tanks even before NSB added the designer, and that hasn't changed. It doesn't matter if your tanks get pierced if they have so much breakthrough and hardness that they barely take damage anyway, and so much attack that they instantly de-org any enemy that they fight.
quick naval question: I understand the point of using snorkels, but, is it really noticeable? In mi opinion the amount of visibility they reduce is not a lot, so I'd rather have radars to increase detection (at least comparing snorkel I vs radar III, both being 1940 tech)
Regarding the resource rights button, it is likely that the person who had the original save did not have BBA active, meaning that the feature would be deactivated, and likely that is somehow carrying over to you despite having the dlc due to the save file originally not having that function

Dankus has a video on tanks for VANILLA, where he says medium 1 is the best, look yourself at the stat difference beetween Medium 1 and 2, its not worth for Medium 2 as production cost is higher. Of course in "shitty" mods (very good mods, dont talk shit if u have never played) you have different stats on tank hulls than in vanilla
