Japan declaring on Yugo happens when you go Kaiser Germany. I think it's a bug based on the country IDs for Shanxi (which Japan gets a wargoal on) and Yug being mixed up. It's only ever happened to me on Imperial Germany runs. Edit: it’s actually because the events to put pressure on Yugo are being redirected to Japan (as the strongest fascist nation) now that Germany is non-fascist.
The weirdest part for me was before no step back dlc, japan always declared war to yugo circa 40 or 41. Yugo always joins the fucking Chinese United front out of all factions which really makes a mess in Europe trying to unite lmao

That save was great and a good way to see how (on the AI's POV) it is important to get encirclements when going deep into enemy territory. You cannot let them have enough VP to survive and occupy territory, and have many weird templates... You hunkered down, on defensible terrain with most of your army intact, forced the enemy to stretch their supplies, and when the counter-attack moment came, split, encircle isolate and destroy. Bravo, truly a master of the craft!
The fact the world tension is so low in this clusterf*ck really goes to show how much the game relies on the historical German focuses to raise tension. I’m always desperately scraping for ways to raise tension as the Kaiser so I can declare war… with little luck.

I think one min max area Bittersteel misses out on is taking advantage of the production efficiency of things he doesn't like. I would keep a few mils on a high soft attack light tank, to basically serve as an spg, while I ramp up medium tank production.
This is impressive AF. I do not get into disasters like these (I quite way way before that), but I do get into situations where I defend, but cannot push or dunno how to win properly. Right now I have Trotsky in the USSR, killed some 6M attackers and lost about 300k of my soldiers, but only recently have I pushed a few tiles. Meanwhile, Italy is almost gone, like always. The fact I have no idea how to properly take over everything means I enjoy both your defensive and your offensive parts of the videos. The defending part is crazy though - like I am starting to think you can defend anything in this game.
You take flexible organization for the org loss reduction. Coordination is good if you stack it (signal companies etc.) to delete individual divisions out of battles, but to exploit large front attacks (like battle planning with motorized) flexible is pretty good.
As far as I understand mobile infantry is better. Blitzkrieg just adds more breakthrough to tanks, which you don't need as tanks already have good breakthrough. Mobile infantry allows you to put more tanks into you armored divisions and still have good org.
Mobile infantry is better if you push with normal divisions. If you do a multiplayer game where you basically only fight with tanks, it's better to go for blitzkrieg, but in single player and with mixed troops, mobile infantry is the best option. Especially if you use the most cost effective unit in the game for pushing: mech.
@@antonpsd4849 org is not that important in multiplayer. You need every bit of stats you can have, you rock with 35 org inf. When you are in a click battle, you reorg while retreating basically. In single player i get it, but in multi you just go full stats all the time.

Hey Steel, I love the video as always. I’ve become a lot better at this game since I found this channel. I have a suggestion. You should do a series that is the opposite of disaster save. You have competent players send in strong germanys, and then take over an ai USSR, UK, or USA, or vice versa. There is of course the issue that the AI will ruin their country, but nontheless putting the ai in a strong position could give an opportunity for more multiplayer focused tips.
The little entente guarantee circle sucks, they should just make an event fire if Austria Hungary reunites then have the circle, and for historical maybe just have France get an event if one of them are getting justified on until they do the buy time focus
I have found a fairly interesting design for an infantry tank group that is manufacturing heavy but punches hard for minimal manpower. 3-light 1-heavy 3-infantry. Artillery support. - bare minimum. Used it as Manchukuo and it defends well, it attacks well it's just op
7 inf, 2 medium (with a lot of armour), 1 arty. Push, hold, whatever. But i tried a mech only run with Italy, where I made infantry for Port guards and just a bunch of 9 mech, 4 arty. You can squeeze 24 of those out of the same IC you'd need for 6-8 tanks, and they work just the same. I litterally took on the entirety of the world with only those, and if you keep up with artillery research and mech, they work until very late game.

Whether or not a save can be salvaged is mostly determined in the first 30 minutes of playing it. If he can set up a defensive line that can resist the enemy throwing itself at it, the enemy will bleed all their equipment and manpower faster than they'll ever recover it, while he'll just get stronger. So my guess is that if he does ever come across disasters he can't save the video would be about 2 minutes long.
No they escort convoys for trade (with the nation that owns the fleet ) and naval invasions launched by the nation which owns the fleet and they take all the fuel by travelling back and forth to escort each convoy assigned to anything which is why Bitt3rSteel was complaining about fuel. They didn’t escort the soviets but they didn’t attack them either because they aren’t programmed to do that on convoy escort. Convoy escort is good when you launch a naval invasion or really need resources from the sea because you can just put a part of the navy on it and make the rest hold the naval supremacy

This is how hoi should be played difficult situation creating plans adapting your army and special units for plans organization of the navy and air force to complement and support each other that's why i like the disaster saves a bit more than normal cause it's not set a plan and go even at the peak of the enemies power that happens only when they are at their last toes and capitulating
