@ i swapped from genki to minna no nihongo. Genki has a more laidback student viewpoint but minna no nihongo is way better in terms of actual japanese usage. Was able to utilise a lot more of what i learn in mnn than genki for my holiday and work travels.

I took the N4 in July `19 and this is not an accurate representation of the listening difficulty. I think this falls inbetween N5 and N4, if you are going for N4 you should get the majority of these correct on you first go without pausing or rewinding.

Hmm, I got 20/28 correct, but I was using subtitles (which weren't always right, but still it's kind of cheating). To me, it still sounds like they are talking fast. I can't conjugate in my head fast enough lol. But if I could score that well on the actual test in less than 2 weeks, I think I can actually pass the N4.
i'm a weeb,,, i mean a pro level weeb,, i never took an official japanese language course before. but i can do at this level. i see more than 15.000 episodes of anime and i remember more than 500 anisong. as long as i'm not read japanese i think i'm okay,,
I highly recommend Nihongo con Teppei podcast. I listen to it using Spotify but you can use other apps as well. Whenever I'm waiting in a long line, commuting or walking to home, I just play this and try to repeat what he's saying to improve my pronunciation and intonation (shadowing method). For everyone saying it's too easy for N4, just put the playback speed up a little, it gives more of a challenge that way and simulates native speed

This speed was normal. I took N4 this year 6th month exam and listening task was like running away from tiger. They speak so fast
I just gave this test, my 25 was correct out of 28, still need to do better bcoz this was so easy
