How to speak Japanese: Step 1) Greet the native speaker 2)Nod your head and say "そうですね" after each sentence. Congratulations, you're now fluent in Japanese. Good job. 🎉
We all want the best of both worlds. The downside to living in the countryside is the lack of English speaking people I guess. Even though I understand Japanese to a certain degree I don't have the confidence to use it in a business situation. On the flip side living in a city like Tokyo the stress would be too much for me.
I loved living in the Countryside of Kansai. I was 2 hrs from kobe, osaka and kyoto. Downside was not having many English speakers to talk to but there were a few and the City hall had free Japanese meetups/lessons. I was so starved for my native language I talked with the Mormons when they came lol. But i got plenty of Japanese practice and people did like that I tried to speak it. Its embarrassing to be bad at something but I learned Kansai Ben to about n3-n4 and I when I went to tokyo I felt like i couldn't understand them as well XD
You really wanted to speak English!😅 Now I'm curious to know if there are many different types of proselytizing groups over there like JW, evangelist, other types? I watched a documentary on how Mormons go through a strict language learning program for their missionary training. It was pretty intense so I expect them to be N4-N3level Japanese?
@@YouNeverKnowWhoIsWatching I cant rate their Japanese as we spoke in English but apparently Mormons have some of the best language learning facilities in the world. I watched a video on it and its amazing what they learn in such a short period
I was in Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto, Naruto to Muroto, Shimizu etc and back in Tokyo not in Shinkansen but with little trains... During 2 months and a half. Some people invited me to their homes to sleep! Hello to Mister Chiba and his family !
I am not good at grammars either. Recently I started to learn N4. With enough practice you'll become better, so don't worry 😁 Just continue with your textbook and learn more and more grammar, especially N4 if you want to understand >80% of the japanese grammar
I went to Kagawa, it's a pretty place certainly not bustling but you get everything you want to have just the same in the cities. But, Matsuyama, Ehime, is my number one go to place if I want to find city with lot less people from big city in Japan and nears countryside
6000 yen for 40 minutes? Wow, that's really cheap compared to Germany. I live in a small town with less than 50,000 inhabitants. Last week I had my hair cut at one of the barbershops and it cost 37 EUR, which is about 6030 yen. A few weeks ago I at least got a coffee, this time not even that. Just wait, get my hair washed twice, then cut and styled a bit - that's it. The treatment itself took about 15 minutes or so. 😐 Even care products such as hair gel are charged extra. 😒 Edit: I wanted to get my hair cut before I went to Japan. I think I'll wait until I get to Japan. 😄
Just remember to go ううううん and ええええ a lot and youre half way there! Jokes aside yes it will take a hot minute before you are fluent. Guess find what aspects if the learning you enjoy and double down on them.
Sensei, thank you for making this video! I have a question. Are you by any chance planning on raising up the difficulty by a bit for the next conversation videos? I think it would help some of us understand our comprehension level better.
Finished my N5 class and began my N4 classes. I didn't understand a god damn thing in this. It was essentially just a bunch of words I understood here and there jumbled together. This is absolutely the worst language.
xD you need to finish your N4 class cause N5 to N4 grammar is compulsory. You DON'T do this video at N5. You're still fine, dont worry mate, keep studying.
Thank you very much for this one! Please do more talks on ~N4 level if you have the opportunity, anything casual regarding 生活 is appreciated!!
I understand 50% of it. So I'm pretty proud
👍👍👍👍
You should! 🎉
Could i know where you learnt from please?

as someone who wants to move to osaka next year with a working holiday visa , this was really interesting thank you!
