Good to see the progress mate. The build is looking good. The flex joint on the exhaust just after the extractors is what is missing on most and leads to cracking if you don't have it. So glad you got one with it. Just on the airbox, there is a deflector plate on the inside that you can remove to even out the airflow across the filter. It makes a difference and you'll notice that with it in, only half of the filter ends up dirty. With it removed, you'll use the whole filter and get a longer life out of it. Have you had a tune yet from Brad Smith yet? Now that you've done all the basics, the 4.8 will turn into a boring car! Put fuel in and drive. I had my first mechanical the other day in mine in the 8 years that I've owned it. The starter motor died. Not bad for 18 years old....😂

I ditched using overpriced name brand tyres many years ago & exclusively used Chinese MT tyres since on two Prado’s. I am choosy with which ones I’ve used though. Some look rubbish with the tread & others look much better. No issues at all. 3 Cape York trips with them on too. I don’t rotate tyres, and get on average 45,000-50,000km from the fronts alone before replacing them. I corner appropriately (not like I’m driving a sports car). The rears last up to 90,000km. $200 a tyre vs $350. What’s not to like. I’ve found people that have knocked them for the various reasons they’ve given have BS excuses that were the cause of other issues, not the tyres. Worn ball joints and poor driving style. I clocked up 400,000km on my first Prado & am up to 300,000km on my second. So have lots of experience using 4wd tyres. Previous experience with name brand ones were Pirelli Scorpion STR, Maxxis Bighorn & Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac (well & truly before they got super popular). The Duratrac’s once they were close to 50% worn were the noisiest tyre by far at 60kmh or more. The Maxxis Bighorns wore down the fastest out of all my tyres, bit they gripped extremely well on firm wet clay surfaces (Glasshouse Mtns tracks after a few showers). The Pirelli Scorpions were the lightest duty & worst value for money out of the lot & the only tyre I’ve punctured while driving off-road. I’ve used Goodride SL366 & was pleased with them. My fav Chinese tyre are the APlus A929 and I’m going on to my second set consecutively where I’m about to replace my rear 2 tyres with them which will make it 8 of their tyres I’ve used one after the other. Very good tyre & $190 each where I get them from.
Thanks for the feedback on the chinese rubber. I was tempted to go down that path a few months ago however I ended up stumbling on a sale at Tyroola and was able to get brand name tyres for $230 a corner. So it does pay to look around before going to the chinese. Cheers
