This video is amazing. Never in my life have I felt confident about this topic until today. What was random memorization and something I was always insecure about, has now become something that I feel is totally understandable and interesting. Thank you so much for this fantastic lesson. The decision to sub has never been easier!
You've done a wonderful job! Thank ylu very, very much. I can't believe how simple you have made it look though I was never able to understand it after reading so many books and watching videos. Amazing video, amazing channel.
Do you have a citation for the source stating lichen sclerosis is a risk factor for vaginal cancer. I read a fair amount about LS and have never heard that before. The research I’ve done does indicate the increased risk of developing vulvar cancer. I believe this to be mostly a result of LS cases where the condition is not well controlled or has been left untreated. Getting regular exams by a knowledgeable GYN, especially one who specializes in vulvar issues, is very important for patients with LS. I am not a healthcare provider but am someone with a personal interest in this subject. Since LS occurs in the vulvar region and perineum and does not develop within the vaginal canal I’m not understanding the risk factor for vaginal cancer (unless it has to do with the spread of vulvar SCC). I’m very interested in where this information came from. Also, nice video and drawings. Thanks for posting.
Thank you for your interest in this important topic! We usually use a range of different English and German textbooks for gynecology and obstetrics. If I remember correctly it was stated as one of the risk factors in a German source. I also found a Finnish study in pubmed, I hope it works to share the link with you here: pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/28124469/
I’m 70, tw years ago I had squamous cell show up under the left lanai and it spread through out my thigh. Extensive surgery and reconstruction. Now, the right lab is is swelled and a blister appeared. It’s painful. I’ll be visiting my gyno man. Hopefully I don’t need a biopsy. It’s inside the labia. Ouch.
I am 14 years old I have a ball sorta thing inside me like I can move it back and I have been bleeding randomly throughout the month while not on my period I've had bad pains in the side of my stomach and sometimes can't walk because of it, I have watery discharge which usually has bits of red/ pink / brown mixed in , could some please tell me what his might be I'm really scared
Hello @Sophie! We can’t give medical advice on this channel, therefore you should contact your physician! I understand that you are scared! With these symptoms I would recommend you to see a gynecologist, they will be able to answer your questions and might recommend an ultrasound or a physical examination, if you are comfortable with that. All the best to you!
I have a feeling the hospital my gf went to didn’t help her enough to take care of this and she lost her life 😢a nurse told me it spread through out her whole body and she couldn’t do chemo because all of a sudden her kidneys were failing they did a cat scan and bloodwork and never mentioned anything about her kidneys I really don’t get it…

What happens when you go to a doctor all over the surrounding areas and they all say that there's nothing there that you're fine and you know damn well you're being lied too
That can be very frustrating! I unfortunately don’t know your case, but if you feel like there is something wrong, it is always good to ask for a second opinion and to try to stay open to maybe also consult other specialists. Good luck and all the best to you!
