I never get tired of watching this concert! By now I've learned that the bass player is Ged Grimes and he's an absolute star! Along with Jim, Charlie and Mel, of course
Simple Minds are one of those bands that reach a much higher level than most, and stand out as real art for all time. Glad to see the internet gives them real exposure, unlike mainstream radio.
Definitively one of the best live band ever. Quelle énergie ! Quelle force ! Quel bonheur ! Quel groupe formidable et en plus ils sont restés simples (minds) généreux et humbles. "Let me see your Hands" , belle leçon d'amour. Ils ont même réussi à faire adhérer un public non initié et non acquis à leur cause.
Jim proudly shows his "Simple Minds Glasgow '77" t-shirt.... (old fans, we're back!). Great great gig, with "Hunter and the Hunted" it would have been superb. Sincerely I didn't expect to find them in this great condition in the 21th Century
He certainly knows how to sing his ass off, always smooth and he can feel the people.....he knows how to Read people. Genuine man, I've loved this guy since the 80's........always will.

If you have any common sense you should be able see the evidence. Do you know where exactly record sales is located? If you are saying the internet I will give benefit of doubt. I would like to think you're not stupid,
Simple Minds, since my 4 years old (^^) is staying 26 years later, my prefer band!!!!!!! :):):):) I watched them 5 times on live, the first time when i was into my mom's belly :) I like you so much Jim :) mine prefer is Good News from the Next World but never they lived that song ;(
First saw them in Edinburgh 1980 when I was sixteen and probably 20 other times since. But I’ll tell you right now. I wish I’d been there. Boys are on it. Fantastic songs that will go with me right to the end
One of my favorite bands, they have been accompanying me with their melodies since my childhood. Excellent live, Jim Kerr is awesome. Thank you for being there Simples and for keeping on working for all of us.
This is the first time I've seen this video...and I have to say it really is a performance right 'up there' with their 'breakthrough' gigs of late 70s early 80s when they were untouchable live. From someone who was there. Thank you for posting....took me back to the magic years. Bravo...👍
I tend to agree, I was blown away seeing this, and still cannot stop going back to it. The timing is perfect with Bass/Drums, Charlie screaming but as usual understated, Jim seems wholly on fire - the Energy is amazing, the grace perfect. Until the bitter end.
Jim Kerr is a Champion of Champions.from the get go of this showhe kept you on the edge of your seat with his enthusiastic singing style, with his intense emotion, that he injects into every song. like an awesome roller coaster ride, and you dont want to end,and kept going on it over and over again.
Mel Gaynor... That's exactly what I wanna hear, ALWAYS! Kick all. IMPECABLE! So calm and precise, POWERFULL simple, perfect recipe! see the lights, my favourite song, perfect match from drums and bass!

Best performance by them in so many years, really on top of their game here and wayyyyy better than any "bands" out there at the moment, shame there is nothing that can touch them nowadays in terms of unique songwriting and great live performance

Jesus Christ this band can play. The bass player is amazing.
Too raw of a sound for this song. But it does sound good.

Ged Grimes is his name. He is probably the best bass player that Simple Minds have ever had since Derek Forbes.

Mel Gaynor is one of the best. The true drummer for this band, any others fall to short.
Never the same without Mel on drums
Mel is exceptionally talented. Miss him in the Minds.

Forever Mel king of drum change the sound no the Pink Lady no please!!!
Mr kerr call again Mel in the band !!!
Great show. Minds at their best. Audience is narcotic.
Charlie's one of the most underrated guitarists around. He's excellent.
Its criminal how little respect he gets, the man is a legend.
The guy is just plain one bad ass guitarist period. Drummer just as great. All of them I hope will survive and stay together.
Sounds alot like Alex lifeson from Rush but lifeson loved the British influence so might be Charlie inspired him.
Agree 🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸
The best rock'n roll drummer in the world
Love the double bass and general fills on Moscow Underground - so powerful!
