It's honestly a little sad, but fascinating and cool to see how many of us, probably including Jess and Gabriel, thought this house will be their long term home, but they ended up deciding that it might not be. It just shows that you have to try something to truly find out how you feel about it. I'm just so glad that they are on the same page about this whole thing and excited for another chapter. When Gabriel said “I’m gonna miss my family” he must have had a rollercoaster of emotions at that point reminiscing through every memory of his childhood and with Jess. Made me cry so hard. I’ve watched you for so many years and every chapter is so special :,)
They said in a previous blog that Florida just didn’t feel right for them. Gabe said he thought he would move back and feel at home and have to get Jess used to living there but it didn’t work out that way.

The US isn't home for Jess and no matter where they move within the country it's not going to feel like home as much as she used to talk about wanting to live in America, I really don't think her heart is in it as much as they're letting on. And for whatever reasons moving away from family and friends is just odd and isolating even more.

I‘ve been following them since the surprising my gf in Australia video and I literally do not understand why you would move from all your friends in LA, to be closer to family in Florida only to move to a whole different place while PREGNANT. Plus, you could tell how hard it was for Gabe (when he went back inside the car and was all emotional). I love them both but her reaction to him being so emotional felt a bit off to me, too. As if he needed to be convinced it‘ll be okay to not live there anymore. Idk. Hope we‘ll get to see what made them want to move

@@aerisarsdale no! it’s not the one they’re currently renovating (it’s an investment property). they built the house in this vlog about 2 years ago 🤍🤍 so it’ll be two florida houses that they’re “leaving behind” - this one, and then the one that they’re currently renovating! *tbh there’s a third one too: the other apartment they first used when they’d travel to florida while living in los angeles! so so so excited for jess and gabe xxx and this next chapter of their book 😊😊😊

As shocked as I was that they're moving to Nashville, I was quickly brought back to reality when Gabe said bye to the house. As a newlywed (been married for almost eight months now) the thought of knowing we'll potentially be moving out of our first home together broke my heart. I can only imagine how bitter-sweet this was for them!

I guess my only thought is that with a new baby it’s really helpful to be close to family for support and just a breather when you need it. Do you have family in Nashville? There are definitely people who make it work without family it’s just a lot harder. I have a toddler and am so thankful everyday I’m near my family. Maybe consider staying in Australia for awhile I mean like months to years with small trips to Nashville, just because that help might be worth it. Love you guys and obviously just advice and you may not want it. Do what makes you happy. I’m just saying this because it’s so fresh for me and family nearby was worth it.

As someone who was born and raised and still lives in TN, I think y’all will absolutely love it. We have such differing landscapes, cultures, and just things to do in general that you are never truly bored unless you choose to be. There is so much to explore that I still haven’t done it all! For those of you in the comments saying they “didn’t make this decision together” or “why Tennessee? That’s so random. It should have been Australia,” etc etc: For the years that I’ve been keeping up with/following Jess & Gabe, they have always loved and supported each other no matter what. They do things as a team. These are big decisions that they don’t come to lightly. It takes a lot of time and thought to come to these decisions. I’m sure whatever they do, they have carefully thought it through and are trusting God to lead them wherever they are meant to be. They are doing what they feel is best for them. Also they have been to Tennessee multiple times before and have said how they think it’s really nice and they enjoy it. They are also both starting to get into their music careers more, and some of the people that they work with live in Nashville. They have other friends there as well. It’s not like they’re moving to the middle of nowhere with no plan. I don’t know them personally, but I’m sure they have thought this through. Yes, raising a child can be hard being far from family, but they will visit all the time. Let’s show them some love and support them in this next chapter of their lives and pray that everything works out beautifully in God’s plan. 💛

The genuine tears from Gabe was so similar to the pains my boyfriend felt leaving home and moving to where I live. Moving states is so challenging, especially when there’s little to no family around.

I feel the exact way Gabe does at the end of the video. I am a family-oriented person, and I go to school 2+ hours away from home. I know it definitely isn't the biggest distance, but it feels like it's too far away at points for me. It makes me sad when I can't just go over to my mom and give her a hug, spend time with my family, see my cousins, visit with my grandparents, be with friends, etc. Moving/starting something new is definitely the hardest thing I have ever had to do, but without it, I don't think I'd be able to appreciate what I have and the time with family I get.
So you’re moving away from family right before the literal SWEETEST time to be around family so that you can be in Nashville for…? I am sure it’s for more than just an exciting change, because as someone who is also about to have a baby girl I can’t imagine moving away from my family right now! I really identified with Gabe at the end and started crying immediately. I'm getting married and there is a small chance we'll have to move for my fiancé's job. I support him and will go with him anywhere but the thought if being away from my family and going to somewhere different is so hard. but that is just part of the journey for us so I really felt it .

I've been watching Jess and Gabe since late June of 2016, both separately and together when the J&G channel first came to be. I was 12 then and will be 18 tomorrow (May 15th). I say this completely in awe of how evident God's goodness is in their lives and the fruit of their faithfulness to their family, their fans and each other, while most importantly remaining faithful to God. I've done most of my "growing up" while following along their journey and am better off for it, as their videos helped get me through some of the most difficult seasons of my life. They are living out a testimony for all the world to see and I couldn't be more thankful to have such great role models for my generation especially. I'm so excited to see what's in store for this next chapter. I'll continue keeping this beautiful family in my prayers❤ The best is yet to come!!

I honestly thought you guys were moving to New York. I feel like Gabe is more of an NYC type of guy. But I hope you guys find happiness wherever you go...
I have mostly seen Gabe taking decisions on basis of what Jess likes or prefers. Obviously he loves her and wanna make her happy, but deep down he's killing his own preferences in the process. Its mostly about Jess always. Be it Australia, be it talking/believing in God a lot, i have only seen Gabe adjusting to all that and almost pretending to love all of that too because obviously it makes Jess happy. Gabe is an emotional guy, Jess is a practical girl. He likes to be near his family, and in recent videos Jess is always talking about being in Australia n all that. When they signed up for this marriage, they knew what they were doing, Jess badly wanted to be in America (which is an almost evident reason why she married a guy from a different continent altogether) now that her American dreams are calmed and she's mature, she wants to go back. Its a tricky situation for Gabe as he's stuck in between his own happiness along with jess's, to which he gives priority to jess most of the times. Gabe's happiness is in small things, Lego or F1 race or stuffs like that, Jess's preferences jumps a whole continent at once. I have been following them since they weren't even married, and i love them both so dont judge me, its just my observation. I hope I'm wrong :) Wish them both a lovely life ahead

exactly! I see the reason why Jess wants to be in AUS more, baby will cost 0$ when being born and will be close to her family where she will need them the most. But the move to TN??? SMH. I really understand the need of Jessica being close to her family, especially after what happened during the Pandemic. For me makes 100% sense to divide their time between AUS and the US. What’s not ok for me is moving from CAL to FL as Gabriel explicitly wanted to be closer to his family as he was depressed, now he has to bear going to AUS for half a year (totally ok) but the other half being in the US but away from his family and friends?! Also they seemed misaligned af when they left their home here. Something fishy for sure

The US isn't home for Jess and no matter where they move within the country it's not going to feel like home as much as she used to talk about wanting to live in America, I really don't think her heart is in it as much as they're letting on. And for whatever reasons moving away from family and friends is just odd and isolating even more.
I literally want to agree w everyone in this comment thread. I‘ve been following them since the surprising my gf in Australia video and I literally do not understand why you would move from all your friends in LA, to be closer to family in Florida only to move to a whole different place while PREGNANT. Plus, you could tell how hard it was for Gabe (when he went back inside the car and was all emotional). I love them both but her reaction to him being so emotional felt a bit off to me, too. As if he needed to be convinced it‘ll be okay to not live there anymore. Idk. Hope we‘ll get to see what made them want to move

@@aerisarsdale no! it’s not the one they’re currently renovating (it’s an investment property). they built the house in this vlog about 2 years ago 🤍🤍 so it’ll be two florida houses that they’re “leaving behind” - this one, and then the one that they’re currently renovating! *tbh there’s a third one too: the other apartment they first used when they’d travel to florida while living in los angeles! so so so excited for jess and gabe xxx and this next chapter of their book 😊😊😊

As shocked as I was that they're moving to Nashville, I was quickly brought back to reality when Gabe said bye to the house. As a newlywed (been married for almost eight months now) the thought of knowing we'll potentially be moving out of our first home together broke my heart. I can only imagine how bitter-sweet this was for them!

I guess my only thought is that with a new baby it’s really helpful to be close to family for support and just a breather when you need it. Do you have family in Nashville? There are definitely people who make it work without family it’s just a lot harder. I have a toddler and am so thankful everyday I’m near my family. Maybe consider staying in Australia for awhile I mean like months to years with small trips to Nashville, just because that help might be worth it. Love you guys and obviously just advice and you may not want it. Do what makes you happy. I’m just saying this because it’s so fresh for me and family nearby was worth it.

As someone who was born and raised and still lives in TN, I think y’all will absolutely love it. We have such differing landscapes, cultures, and just things to do in general that you are never truly bored unless you choose to be. There is so much to explore that I still haven’t done it all! In Jess’ last blog when they said one way ticket to Aussie I was so excited for the idea that the baby would be born and brought up around her parents and family and seeing that experience. The baby will be born in Australia but they’ve always stated they want to be bi coastal so they wouldn’t move to Australia fully

For the years that I’ve been keeping up with/following Jess & Gabe, they have always loved and supported each other no matter what. They do things as a team. These are big decisions that they don’t come to lightly. It takes a lot of time and thought to come to these decisions. I’m sure whatever they do, they have carefully thought it through and are trusting God to lead them wherever they are meant to be. They are doing what they feel is best for them.
Also they have been to Tennessee multiple times before and have said how they think it’s really nice and they enjoy it. They are also both starting to get into their music careers more, and some of the people that they work with live in Nashville. They have other friends there as well. It’s not like they’re moving to the middle of nowhere with no plan. I don’t know them personally, but I’m sure they have thought this through. Yes, raising a child can be hard being far from family, but they will visit all the time.
Let’s show them some love and support them in this next chapter of their lives and pray that everything works out beautifully in God’s plan. 💛

The genuine tears from Gabe was so similar to the pains my boyfriend felt leaving home and moving to where I live. Moving states is so challenging, especially when there’s little to no family around.

I feel the exact way Gabe does at the end of the video. I am a family-oriented person, and I go to school 2+ hours away from home. I know it definitely isn't the biggest distance, but it feels like it's too far away at points for me. It makes me sad when I can't just go over to my mom and give her a hug, spend time with my family, see my cousins, visit with my grandparents, be with friends, etc. Moving/starting something new is definitely the hardest thing I have ever had to do, but without it, I don't think I'd be able to appreciate what I have and the time with family I get.
So you’re moving away from family right before the literal SWEETEST time to be around family so that you can be in Nashville for…? I am sure it’s for more than just an exciting change, because as someone who is also about to have a baby girl I can’t imagine moving away from my family right now! Very interested to hear what went into this decision, but praying for God’s hand in it all.

I really identified with Gabe at the end and started crying immediately. I'm getting married and there is a small chance we'll have to move for my fiancé's job. I support him and will go with him anywhere but the thought if being away from my family and going to somewhere different is so hard. but that is just part of the journey for us so I really felt it .

I've been watching Jess and Gabe since late June of 2016, both separately and together when the J&G channel first came to be. I was 12 then and will be 18 tomorrow (May 15th). I say this completely in awe of how evident God's goodness is in their lives and the fruit of their faithfulness to their family, their fans and each other, while most importantly remaining faithful to God. I've done most of my "growing up" while following along their journey and am better off for it, as their videos helped get me through some of the most difficult seasons of my life. They are living out a testimony for all the world to see and I couldn't be more thankful to have such great role models for my generation especially. I'm so excited to see what's in store for this next chapter. I'll continue keeping this beautiful family in my prayers❤ The best is yet to come!!

I have mostly seen Gabe taking decisions on basis of what Jess likes or prefers. Obviously he loves her and wanna make her happy, but deep down he's killing his own preferences in the process. Its mostly about Jess always. Be it Australia, be it talking/believing in God a lot, i have only seen Gabe adjusting to all that and almost pretending to love all of that too because obviously it makes Jess happy.
Gabe is an emotional guy, Jess is a practical girl. He likes to be near his family, and in recent videos Jess is always talking about being in Australia n all that.
When they signed up for this marriage, they knew what they were doing, Jess badly wanted to be in America (which is an almost evident reason why she married a guy from a different continent altogether) now that her American dreams are calmed and she's mature, she wants to go back. Its a tricky situation for Gabe as he's stuck in between his own happiness along with jess's, to which he gives priority to jess most of the times. Gabe's happiness is in small things, Lego or F1 race or stuffs like that, Jess's preferences jumps a whole continent at once.
I have been following them since they weren't even married, and i love them both so dont judge me, its just my observation. I hope I'm wrong :)

Especially now that they're gonna have a kid and Gabe's borther is expecting their 2nd child who's also gonna be a girl, shouldn't they raise them with family around? Her sister in law is just a few weeks apart from her, they could've been bestties and what not. This is sooo random

It’s so clear Gabriel does not want that!!!! Jess is being so selfish for whatever reason God planned 💀 it’s more Jess planned. Makes no sense.
THIS!!! i’ve been a viewer for years, i think before they got married. As i’ve grown and matured, i have noticed a ton of red flags in their relationship. i really hope they are attending some sort of counseling (not betterhelp).
@@Tori-hx6fh same here actually. I think many young audience follow them and have kind of idealized the relationship. I really understand the need of Jessica being close to her family, especially after what happened during the Pandemic. For me makes 100% sense to divide their time between AUS and the US. What’s not ok for me is moving from CAL to FL as Gabriel explicitly wanted to be closer to his family as he was depressed, now he has to bear going to AUS for half a year (totally ok) but the other half being in the US but away from his family and friends?! Also they seemed misaligned af when they left their home here. Something fishy for sure

As soon as I heard you were moving I knew instantly it was either Australia or Nashy! Our little family just moved from NC to WA State! So a coast to coast move!
