I love the love and support in their relationship 🥺 gabe is the most supportive of Jess’ love for Australia and Jess is the most supportive of his journey with depression. They are such good examples for relationships:)
And because of the electricity usage! If it’a good weather (usually is) then we save electricity costs and environmental usage by hanging it. In my opinion, my clothes don’t dry like cardboard - maybe that’s a detergent issue
Yeah during the summers in the USA, we dry our clothes out in our deck but in winter we use the dryers of course! But I seriously love the warm feeling and the smell! It hits different!!
I can see Jess is just a little more happy, not that she isn't normally, but it's obvious! Glad you guys have the means to make this work half way around the world.
There are so many benefits of hang drying your washing. - it’s great for your electricity bill - we mainly always have nice weather so you get to work on your tan - you get to go outside - won’t cause a fire and burn your house down - my dog hangs out with me more Anyways congrats on your aussie apartment! It’s already so cute. Can’t wait to see more Aussie vlogs!
I love the references to old jokes and memories lol I remember all that stuff from 2017, as soon as you said ‘Gabe wanted me to film’ I knew exactly what was going to happen, it’s awesome seeing how much has changed and still stayed the same
When Jess first said carked it, I was like she has definitely settled back into Aus 😂 we don’t use dryers because we have the beautiful Australian sun and can preserve energy and save money on electricity👌
This has got to be one of the most Australian vlogs I’ve seen from you guys in a while 😂😂 I love Jess using Australian slang. We also don’t use dryers a lot because it’s so expensive!!!
I live in Sydney, Australia and have always had a clothes dryer in the different apartments and houses that I have lived in. During winter time when it is cold and rainy weather for weeks there is no way I could cope without having a clothes dryer. Your new Aussie home looks great. Thanks for the tour. I love how you are decorating it, well done getting so many bargains!
Yay! Huge congratulations on this beautiful apartment 🥰❤ On Gabe's question about tumble dryers, Australia is very similar to South Africa in this sense. Hang drying for the win - tumble drying is very energy intensive so chows your electricity bill and isn't eco friendly. Hang drying is also more gentle on your clothes so they last longer 🌻✨
I am an Australian living in Brisbane as well and I have never had a dryer in my life and I only see a dryer when I go on holidays to the beach or somewhere and even then when I have clear access to it I still hang clothes up on like railings on the balcony or just around the apartment but just never used the dryer LMAO
And because of the electricity usage! If it’s good weather (usually is) then we save electricity costs and environmental usage by hanging it. Doesn’t usually take long if you hang in the morning and busy during the day, the afternoon they should be dry especially if hung outside in sun or even under shade. In my opinion, my clothes don’t dry like cardboard - maybe that’s a detergent issue. Also a lot of things shrink in the dryer and isn’t so gentle of fabrics for longevity. :)
I love watching Jess and Gabe vlogs. Something so comforting. Little did we know though that they was pregnant at this point - but ALSO now rewatching this video (cause I'm that sad I just rewatch all there old videos....) when they are explaining stuff like why they are renting the apartment or they have a spare bedroom with nothing in it, you can just see the little smiles as if to say... well we know why but you guys don't...yet!
I love seeing all of your Aussie adventures 😊 As a fellow Queenslander, I don’t use our dryer (unless it’s raining) mostly to save money on the power bill. Also, the sun can help get out stains in your clothes 😊
To dry things naturally its best to put washing on before bed and hang it up before 9am. In winter you want to hang it up before 8am in the sun and take it off before 3.30 to 4pm.
I’m an Australian born and raised in Adelaide and we don’t use a dryer unless it is raining outside because it is expensive to use a dryer all the time and not as energy efficient. I don’t own a dryer in my apartment…washing machine and a clothes airer and we are good to go!
I have been following you guys since 2016. Back then I still live in Europe. I was dating the love of my life and we had a long long distance relationship for 3+ years and are now living together in San Francisco California. You guys brought me so much hope And strength that I can make this whole thing come true and be with the love of my life. Watching you and your love for each other grow has been an immense support to me!!
This vlog was threaded with so much pure happiness!!! Congratulations Jess and Gabe, on your new Australia home. It is absolutely gorgeous. I can't wait for future vlogs in it. ❤️
So nice to have you guys back!!! Your new Aussie home looks so cozy I love it!!! Hope you guys enjoyed your break you definitely deserved for all the hard work you guys have been doing!! I love you guys so much!💛
Lovely apartment for 2 lovely individuals! Also, I think people dry clothes outside because sometimes the dryer shrinks clothes, save money, and just to get outside of the house, lol.
I’ve always been told to only use the dryer when it’s raining or for socks and small things because it’s an unnecessary cost when you can dry your clothes free
Aussie here! I have a dryer but I don't use it cause it's expensive to run. Outside is...free! And more environmentally friendly too. Every place I've lived in has had an outdoor space with an undercover spot if the weather's bad. If the weather is really horrible, like torrential rain/winds, I just let my clothes drip dry and then let them finish drying inside.
So happy for you guys! We're the same in the UK, we all have dryers but only really use them for Bedding/Towels. Also can't believe I've been watching since BEFORE the Juju, when you said 2017 I choked!
dryers. you save money and electricity by not using them, it’s a reason to go outside, snd dryers crinkle clothes more. plus clothes feel better and smell better if the line
ABOUT THE LITTLE EREA YOU HAVE YOUR PUANO u can make it a little place for you to have your shoes on, sit down and take them off or put it on and hang your jackets somewhere. A little basket for umbrellas etc.
I stopped watching the vlogs for a while now but I've been watching you guys since boyfriend and girlfriend times & when he was about to dance in front of the car brought so many memories. Im glad to be watching you guys again! I forgot how much I would laugh watching your videos
I never put expensive or my favourite clothes in the dryer as it can shrink them. We only use the dryer for towels or clothes that aren’t as important.
In Ireland we don't use dryers either. We either hang things on the washing line outside if the weather is good or in the hot press. We only put bigger things like bed sheets, duvet covers and towels in the dryer because it's so expensive to use. Gotta think of the bargains!!! 😂😂😂
SOOOO happy for you guys!!! Its been such a difficult journey being apart from your fam Jess due to different reasons but sooo glad you guys get to split time between Australia and U.S.!!!
I used to use Carked it all the time in England not in the US Ive not said now im going to say it now to see if I get a reaction from my hubby. I great to see you both back.
Our sun is harsh enough to dry clothes and etc within an hour, also energy bills are extremely expensive here unless you have solar paneling. We keep a dryer for emergencies, when it rains.
I don’t want to come off as inconsiderate or rude about baby comments but you guys have mentioned multiple times that getting a place in both America and Australia was a crucial factor in when you wanted to have kids and I’m so excited to watch you get to this place! I love you guys so much and I can’t wait for that stage in your lives weather it’s soon or not 🤍🤍 love from Wisconsin
Welcome back guys! We hang dry because the using the dryer costs money- it really drives up the energy bill. Not to mention the ‘fresh’ smell of drying things outside!
Love it well done 😍👏🏾 oh my gosh I love hanging out washing (especially in the sunny state) and it’s nice when it hasn’t shrunk in dryer🤣 but also no matter how it’s dried I hate putting it away 👚👖
The dryer thing I also was confused when I moved from Canada to aus but it's because technically the dryer can mess up the fibers etc in your clothes and most places in aus, it's warm enough to hang your clothes outside (+save money)
Babe reminds me of my husband when he’s talking about the dryer situation 😂 I am Mexican and he is not so he always comments on things we do differently but in a loving way haha and it’s funny
We only use the dryer for towels & bed linen usually! The dryer uses a lot of power/energy and the cost of electricity in aus is crazy! Also the line dry just keeps everything fresh and natural ❤️❤️
haha! The dryer discussion. The Aussie sun is so warm we always let it naturally dry - to save electricity not really - just because it usually dries in a day. We make the most of our sun. 🙌🏼
I love the love and support in their relationship 🥺 gabe is the most supportive of Jess’ love for Australia and Jess is the most supportive of his journey with depression. They are such good examples for relationships:)
this
😂🤣
Jess’s accent we gotten stronger since being back. Love it and love seeing them happier
def! at the start she said "anodah yahhh" so cute
We don’t use dryers because the sunny smell of the washing once it’s been outside all day is so relaxing and comforting!
We used to hang clothes in the US, but everyone is so impatient now. I agree with the fresh smell! Can't beat it!
And because of the electricity usage!
If it’a good weather (usually is) then we save electricity costs and environmental usage by hanging it.
In my opinion, my clothes don’t dry like cardboard - maybe that’s a detergent issue
We have shit weather in most days during winter but still never use a dryer
Lol we live in California. We tried to hang our laundry but birds pooed on it 😣
Yeah during the summers in the USA, we dry our clothes out in our deck but in winter we use the dryers of course! But I seriously love the warm feeling and the smell! It hits different!!
And we're all here looking back to previous videos because we missed signs that she is pregnant 😂🥺💖😭 Congratulations guysssss!!!!
I can see Jess is just a little more happy, not that she isn't normally, but it's obvious! Glad you guys have the means to make this work half way around the world.
There are so many benefits of hang drying your washing.

Please tell me I am not the only one who smiled at the screen while watching. So happy for you guys! Missed you❤️
When Jess first said carked it, I was like she has definitely settled back into Aus 😂 we don’t use dryers because we have the beautiful Australian sun and can preserve energy and save money on electricity👌
This has got to be one of the most Australian vlogs I’ve seen from you guys in a while 😂😂 I love Jess using Australian slang. We also don’t use dryers a lot because it’s so expensive!!!
yes was coming here to say this. we dont run it unless we have too coz of the cost
I live in Sydney, Australia and have always had a clothes dryer in the different apartments and houses that I have lived in.

Yes! 💫
Imagine not having a dryer lmao
I’m South African and I got to agree!
I am an Australian living in Brisbane as well and I have never had a dryer in my life and I only see a dryer when I go on holidays to the beach or somewhere and even then when I have clear access to it I still hang clothes up on like railings on the balcony or just around the apartment but just never used the dryer LMAO

Yes 'carked' is Aussie slang for when something has died. I think Jess just diverts back to the real Aussie language when she's home 😊
thank you loll
And nz we say it too
Thank you so much I probably replayed it like 6 times trying to understand… then I thought it was just because of the mask 🤣
I'm glad they explained it. I'm from the US and was so confused at what she said lol
Agree. I'm not happy she loses her aussie accent sometimes but what can I do lol
I’m so happy for you guys I know you’ve been believing for your own home in Australia for a while now missed ya!🥲
SO HAPPY FOR YOU GUYS! KEEP GOING AND SLAYIIIIN'. TAKE CARE OF YOURSELVES. WE'RE ROOTING FOR YOU GUYS! ♥️

11:40 I would just like to say. I understood and appreciated that reference 👏
Congratulations guys!! I love how humble and positive you both are 😍 So happy to see Gabe a bit better than last time. Take care guys 🤍
You now have two lovely homes in both countries... I couldn't be happier. Congrats guys and all the best wishes💛
I love seeing all of your Aussie adventures 😊 As a fellow Queenslander, I don’t use our dryer (unless it’s raining) mostly to save money on the power bill. Also, the sun can help get out stains in your clothes 😊
Dryers take unnecessary electricity when the sun can do the same! Only use ours if it’s raining and we have too, or we want it dried super fast
Seeing Gabe's and jess's smile has been such a highlight in the lockdown. Thank you for all the effort the both of you put in your vids for us💙💙
Absolutely!!
Really excited for this video!!! Thank you for another content ♥️ stay safe, love you both!!
absolutely carked it !!! love it so aussie so glad your back home jess
To dry things naturally its best to put washing on before bed and hang it up before 9am. In winter you want to hang it up before 8am in the sun and take it off before 3.30 to 4pm.
Glad you're feeling better, Gabe ❤ missed you guys! Congratulations on your new place!
WOHO!!! So happy for you guys! God bless as you start this new journey! 😁❤️
CONGRATS GUYS!!!! SO PROUD OF EVERYTHING YOU HAVE ACCOMPLISHED ❤️❤️
The window overlooking the carpark reminded me of The Office! 😂 Love you brother and sister in Christ. ❤
Welcome to Australia guys
This vlog reminds me soo much of the good old Jess and Gabe vlogs, sooo refreshing to see! You look so happy and motivated!!
The dance in front of the car! Yes bring it back even if it’s only once!
in the front area, I would put a rack for jackets and coats, and a little front table for keys and such!
OMG FINALLY GUYSSS IM SO HAPPPPYYYY😍congrats!!
I’m an Australian born and raised in Adelaide and we don’t use a dryer unless it is raining outside because it is expensive to use a dryer all the time and not as energy efficient. I don’t own a dryer in my apartment…washing machine and a clothes airer and we are good to go!

Omg, what a story😍 thanks for sharing❤ I wish you all the best💫
As an Australian I use my dryer for everything.... Hate towels not dried in the dryer!
2017 reference- loved it. I'm so happy for you guys, thankyou for your videos in the past 5 years of my life :)
This vlog was threaded with so much pure happiness!!! Congratulations Jess and Gabe, on your new Australia home. It is absolutely gorgeous. I can't wait for future vlogs in it. ❤️
I live in the Gold Coast Australia and I much prefer the dryer even if it’s sunnier outside!
just seeing the thumbnail, i knew right away how happy you guys are. love seeing those smile 🥰💐
soooo THIS is why they went home👀🤰🏻
So glad you’re back home with your family 😍
Seeing the title of this video made me so happy, knowing how much Jess has missed being in Australia with her family. So happy for them !!

Lovely apartment for 2 lovely individuals!

So happy for you guys! We're the same in the UK, we all have dryers but only really use them for Bedding/Towels.
Also can't believe I've been watching since BEFORE the Juju, when you said 2017 I choked!
I still watch from 2017 and I was expecting Gabe to dance while Jess sang!!!
dryers. you save money and electricity by not using them, it’s a reason to go outside, snd dryers crinkle clothes more. plus clothes feel better and smell better if the line
Congratulations Jess & Gab you both rock will always rock🔥 you’re the best rocks of usa and Australia😂🤣
Aww... congratulations guys, finally a Aussie homeee!!❤️🌻
ABOUT THE LITTLE EREA YOU HAVE YOUR PUANO u can make it a little place for you to have your shoes on, sit down and take them off or put it on and hang your jackets somewhere. A little basket for umbrellas etc.
I love hanging my washing out in the sunshine, makes it much more fresh ☀️
I stopped watching the vlogs for a while now but I've been watching you guys since boyfriend and girlfriend times & when he was about to dance in front of the car brought so many memories. Im glad to be watching you guys again! I forgot how much I would laugh watching your videos
This apartment is so cute! Perfect size! But whatttttt....I couldn't live without a dryer...
I hope they move their permanently , it would be such a nice place to raise kids and Jess seems so happy
The family is growing!!! so happy for you guys!!
We don’t use dryers because it uses more power it’s better for your clothes it’s make your clothes smell fresher and it’s easy
I never put expensive or my favourite clothes in the dryer as it can shrink them. We only use the dryer for towels or clothes that aren’t as important.
We don't use tumble dryers in Cape Town either. We hang everything on the line 🤣🤣
Such an adorable Amazing and inspirational couple ❤️
In Ireland we don't use dryers either. We either hang things on the washing line outside if the weather is good or in the hot press. We only put bigger things like bed sheets, duvet covers and towels in the dryer because it's so expensive to use. Gotta think of the bargains!!! 😂😂😂
Nice to see you guys!!! Missed the vlogs ❤️🥰✨
How I’ve missed you😭😭
Happy you’re back and hope you had a great holiday season ❤️
HA I LOVE IT. Jess I understood you first time round😂
I'm from South Africa and we hardly use my tumble dryer only in winter, sometimes hahah
This feels like you guys with more happiness and drying your cloths outside get rid of the bacteria even if you wash it it's better hanging in the sun
petition to get the 2017 dancing-in-front-of-the-car-gabe back!!! i got such déja vu hahaha
Most people I know here in Australia only use the dryer as a last resort because it’s cheaper to just let them air dry!
I love watching you two, I always get a few genuine laughs in and you guys brighten my day so much!
KEEP THE LOVE AND SUPPORT GOING GOD BLESS 😍😍💞💞
BRING BACK THE JUJU 😭 also love the new apartment
OMG!!! Aussie home!!! I’m SO happy for you guys 😍😍😍 may God bless your new home ❤️
I have been watching your videos since 2017/18 🥰🥰 loves from Turkey ✌🏻
Our sun is harsh enough to dry clothes and etc within an hour, also energy bills are extremely expensive here unless you have solar paneling. We keep a dryer for emergencies, when it rains.

In Russia we also don't have dryers in every single house/apartment. Most people just use hang dryers so it's not only an australian thing👽
Welcome back guys!
We hang dry because the using the dryer costs money- it really drives up the energy bill. Not to mention the ‘fresh’ smell of drying things outside!
We usually only use a dryer if it’s raining. And usually in summer it’s hot enough that it dries super quick. Saves on the power bill aswell.
Love it well done 😍👏🏾 oh my gosh I love hanging out washing (especially in the sunny state) and it’s nice when it hasn’t shrunk in dryer🤣 but also no matter how it’s dried I hate putting it away 👚👖

Love the new place. What about milo when your at Australia?
Babe reminds me of my husband when he’s talking about the dryer situation 😂 I am Mexican and he is not so he always comments on things we do differently but in a loving way haha and it’s funny
I haven’t watched in a while and when he went infront the car I thought omg he still does that ?! He would dance and she would sing
We only use the dryer for towels & bed linen usually! The dryer uses a lot of power/energy and the cost of electricity in aus is crazy! Also the line dry just keeps everything fresh and natural ❤️❤️
This video makes me happy for you and sad! I’m an Aussie in the U.S. who wants to go back but can’t!
haha! The dryer discussion. The Aussie sun is so warm we always let it naturally dry - to save electricity not really - just because it usually dries in a day. We make the most of our sun. 🙌🏼
I didn't even question when she said her toothbrush carked it ahaha so normal to hear that kind of thing being from nz
I love the whole vibe of your new home! Congratulations to you both! 🏠❤️🎉
