I always thought you wanted a slight chop for speed runs. Glass smooth is sticky :)
Facts
Great video! Just a word of advice. Please buy a Lifeline life jacket. I never run an Allison without wearing my Lifeline. It is expensive, but it will save your life at high speeds in case of an accident. If you come out of the boat over 90mph, that mustang your wearing will come off. Stay safe on the water!
Facts!
28 hoss is by far my favorite prop I’ve ever ran on my streams! Man, Florida seems like the place too be!! Great video man, I like the Allison’s, but really miss the V-King! Lol
Hunter, great footage! Looks like a C note to me....thanks for posting!
Nice boat... Very nice.... Great job on that baby...
Hunter, one of these days, I have to get WEST COAST. Run with y'all. The Action is almost done. Gonna have to run different props. Good video, brother. y'all be safe.
Thanks for your time.
Awesome video! Keep up the great work, Brother! 😎
I’ve got the same motor as Triston’s motor 225x with a gold head its got a racing 280 computer on it
Those elusive 2-3 mph are such a struggle to get. Weight, trim, prop....yep everything is a factor as you know. Great footage of trial and error. Gonna be fun next month! Oh,......Hunter.....will you have your t-shirts for sale at the island or BBQ or both???
Not my shirts yet but tristyn will have the alva run shirts forsale there
You guys need a radar gun. I bought a Stalker back in 1994 or so. Boy, that brought out the crazies.
never heard of GPS....
love it , Time to wake up..
32 LAB CLEAVER YOU GOT IT
Prop testing 101 here we go again.
Hunter how much counter weight are you using? I have second battery on the left side in stern area. I was going to add 90 # in the same area you have this spring.
28 hoss or Et Merc I have been told work best on GS. Seems you proved that with this video.
I been running 27SRX only because it's what I have when I had a STV prior.
Another great video!!
All my rigging is on port side. 1 battery, trim pump, fuel pump, fuel filter and battery switch. Then i take my 45 yeti with a 12 pack and 2 bags of ice. And it's perfect
let me know if you ever want to let go of the SRX please:) got a 2.6xp evinrude im dying to try out on my Allison
I have a promax 30 running 92 mph on my 17ft bullet promax 200hp...need to try more props this spring..hoping for 95ish
Just curious, what RPM are you running at the 92 MPH? Thanks 👍
@@BabyCharlotteschannel 1.87 gear, pulling 7200 to 7600rpm

Video is when im set up for drag....800ft
Motor built for short bursts of 9000rpms with 24 pitch yamaha prop
Cool video. Just curious, where do you guys find these older 2-strokes in such good condition? Are you rebuilding them? It sucks the mfg were forced to stop making the the 2-strokes especially in the smaller outboards.
Most of them nowadays have been rebuilt by now. Theres still some nice original ones out there though
Thanks for sharing! I see you don't have a shifter with forward neutral and reverse? Is it always in gear?
We shut the motors off to shift and start in gear so its easier on the lower unit
I'd be interested in the hoss if you ever have thoughts of selling it. I miss my 28!
move some weight up front 😎
Do you have a torque tamer?
Yes the swept skeg Sportmasters have a torque tab on them
BAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHA!!!!!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
