So, CLR made it to watch this game in Northern Cal, but could not take a few minutes to stop by to watch the Mater Dei vs Bosco match up, literally down the street from the Coli. As much as I want to believe that CLR is learning from past coaching mistakes, it gets more difficult for me to continue to believe. In my mind, this coming year is a prove it, or else.. type of year for CLR. His decision making skills in numerous areas have left allot to be desired.
He sees enough of Bosco and MD talent all year. The kids down South play all year long with 7 on 7s, position camps and training camps. USC hosts their own camp as well. As you said, they are literally down the street from them.
Ryder Lyons the qb of Folsom has a brother who’s already going to play USC next year. Lincoln Riley gave Lyons an offer after the game. I’m sure he already knows the heavily recruited talent at md and Bosco 😂
Folsom got like 9 losses by sacramento teams the last 15 years. Really outside of serra de la salle and so cal teams nobody in cali ever beats them. Pitsburg is a team that beat all the ncs teams outside of de la salle. But still cant beat folsom or top public schools in cali yet Its a great program pittsburg population only 65k crazy talent there. This game was won by the sophmore qb lyons 3 rushing and 1 td passing they had no answer for him. This is supposed to a down year folsom team and they still beat all public schools in norcal I like to see them play ga or alabama public schools like thompson There too good for norcal
A good step up would simply be scheduling some of the Tier 2 SoCal teams, like MV, Sierra Canyon, Poly, et al. Maybe Cen10 someday. Of course if they do that, they might find themselves in the open game, but they will never be at that level.
@@bjones2366I don't think Folsom wants to be in the Open game. They have avoided it for years now. It was the only way they could get to State 10 years ago when DLS was still top dog. And Folsom definitely doesn't want to face Mater Dei in this era. So the Bulldogs have a nice little lane in which they can rack up championships. And I can't say I blame them. I'm sure Walsh of Serra wishes he were playing St Bonnie or Mission Viejo as well.
@@bjones2366the Folsom coach said a couple nights ago after the state title they’re about to schedule some harder schools. The qb is only a sophomore so he will get better, JV went 10-0 and only gave up 20pts one time lol. Those kids will be varsity next year so the program should be better.
You can see frustration set in with Pittsburg with that player throwing lyons helmet. Pitt probably came in thinking they were gonna dominate but got a rude awakening instead
This was supposed to be a down year for folsom On paper pitt should of won They got dominated by a sophmore qb That cant bode well for pitt in near future Folsom has alot of young players like de la salle. This was the year to get them U wont beat them the next 2 years
Marcel I agree, especially next year with Folsom’s jv group coming up after a 10-0 season and the defense allowing a season high 20 pts in one game. Next year varsity should be really good and the following year when lyons and co are seniors they should be dangerous
@@lesliepennington1815 and all of the people who are transferring in mostly juniors and seniors this year if any is the year to go to the open division state championship
@@lesliepennington1815Lyons will reclassify after this season at least that’s the word that’s been going around so They’ll be a new quarterback in Folsom in 2025
My thing is I think playcalling wasn’t good because when you have a mobile qb you are you calling stunts everytime the called a stunt he ran and on offense you had 9 offensive drives and only scored on 2 that was the difference in the game the game shouldn’t even be close
Pitt had em on the ropes but folsom had that 12 round fight in em

Who clr
He’s been to those “Local” games all year. Probably just looking at Nor Cal talent before Oregon and Washington get at them!
