These Sacramento area teams need to schedule a more difficult preseason. Not only for the players but also the coaches to properly adjust. There’s no reason to adjust when you’re vesting your opponents 48-6 each game. I know Pitts game vs SJB helped and I know Grants games vs DLS Clovis and Lincoln helped. Folsom wants to be a big dog you have to play with big dogs.
@@haywood0457 Great minds think alike! Pitt's got another tough game, this time against Lincoln, which is very very similar in terms of athletes. Earlier this year Lincoln easily squashed Grant. I haven't seen Pacifica play but even the lesser SoCal teams tend to have plenty of size and play makers.
To say he looked like a 3 star when he was responsible for all 27 of Folsom's points ( 2 rushing and 2 passing). AND scored TD's on the first 3 possessions to go up 21-0 with 10 min left in the 2nd qtr is just not it! LOL Pitts team defense beat Folsom. Luckily there was a ton of time left in the game for Pitt to regroup and show why they were chosen for the Open Matchup against DLS this year. This is the best coached Pitt team I have personally seen AND it shows! Those boys are ready for every challenge that is put in front of them, and have shown incredible resiliency despite the outcome of some tough games. You got to give flowers when they're due, both ways.
Pitt's game against SJB earlier in the season gave the confidence needed to get to this point. Pirates almost knocked off DLS and were able to pull this one out. Same with Grant. They played Lincoln, DLS, and Clovis East in the preseason and those losses are paying dividends. They just knocked off St Francis, who is always a tough out. Folsom needs to do the same, start playing the Socal powers early on.
@@tannercollins9863 Yep. Folsom could play a tough preseason schedule, lose 1 or 2 games, and still make a run at a D1-AA state championship as long as they win SJS D1 (which they will do 9/10 years).
Folsom did have Long Beach Poly on their schedule who are from SoCal and a perennial good team. Poly had an off-year though. Transfers sitting out could also effect that particular team. They should consider playing a Trinity League team, Cen10 or Bishop Gorman.
@@Collectwhatyoulike True, sometimes it’s hard to predict what a fellow public school will bring to the table in a particular year. Gorman is always in business, however! Pitt's been THE ONLY public school to challenge De La Salle consistently the last 35+ years. They have one heck of a program and no doubt some great players. I'd venture to guess that many of the players, if not all, are from the local youth football teams. I would also imagine its a constant battle preventing DLS from recruiting their best players.
Great game, Folsom's QB is overrated, he is good just not a 5 star recruit, he tries to do to much, he needs to give his receivers a chance to make a play, Pitts defense had him on the ropes all night. He looks to run first then pass, he ran the ball four times in a row to score a touchdown, ridiculous. Pitt earned that win, Congrats!!!
Folsom has a tendency to mismanage these games against teams that can line up with them. Of the two games they lost this year they were both by 1 point after having double digit leads

DLS brand is so strong, however, that if they decided to start playing the transfer game, they could definitely rise up and challenge MD again. I just don’t think it will happen, however. MD is an excellent school but they have always been about winning in sports as an end in itself. DLS has always seen sports as a means to an end. Pitts QB despite fumbles hella outplayed that 5 star. His quick release in around 1 second after he got the ball was on point. While the Folsom QB ran around like a chicken with his head chopped off most of the game. Wack. D1 offers went the wrong way….. but congrats both teams on a great game. Pitts receivers made the difference
I feel like this was predictable. Folsoms offense seems to try to out athlete the other team. Qb runs work when you’re playing much worse opponents but your qb gets beat up when you play a team that’s just as athletic. Also the QB u bet is really good but he holds the ball forever and doesn’t seem to be a great thrower.
