The only reviews I trusted were Jason and Chidi. The other 2 were far too dramatic, but Lateef's did look nice. Kanaan couldn't even cook, but judging everyone else!
same. Especially since the other two couldnt even describe anything. Only saying it smells funny or tastes funny but they couldnt describe what spice was too much or even knew what they were smelling that was soo "off". I dont think they cook with nigerian spices only with cubes. Chidi was at least able to say what was wrong e.g. not enough seasoning, or the meat needed more cooking etc etc.. and Jason? I actually think Jason might be familiar with much much more and was therefore not being picky or acting new

you can make efo riro the vegetarian way with spinach, spicy peppers, onions, locust beans, seaweed for a slight fishy taste, large mushrooms and another vegetarian meat substitutes, palm oil and vegetable stock cubes x
Well, luckily for you most Nigerian food is vegetarian. The meat and fish are very optional, but the food tastes just as amazing without!

Efo riro typically refers to the Yoruba version of vegetable stew, with more of an obe ata base than other vegetable stews
I always just called it Efo
If you’re not Yoruba then you’ve been calling it correctly. Efo riro is Yoruba vegetable soup and they cook it differently from other tribes hence the differentiation.

Chidi probably grew up in Lagos or Ibadan. He spoke about his love for "iru" which is a Yoruba spice.

@@frankytalks7941 I'm very aware of this. However, I'm speaking based on the video. Dawadawa, ogiri and iru does not have the same flavour. Every Nigerian tribe cooks vegetable soup but differently. We are talking about the Yoruba EFO RIRO AND IRU HERE. Hope you get my point though.
