We used to visit this beautiful island in the sixties when I was in the Royal navy. After the evacuation due to the volcanic eruption, it was some years before the islanders were returned to their homes. Again, the Royal navy kept on visiting, providing medical support. Our doctor worked tirelessly for the time we were there. It can be extremely difficult to land by boat due to the extreme weather prevalent. My last time there was in 1971 when it was unusually calm and we were able to land our football team. We played on a very sloping pitch against a team of very fit and strong islanders. We were lucky to draw 1 all. I scored the equalizer. The ship was gifted with a large supply of Atlantic crayfish and we feasted for days on this gorgeous treat. In 1968 we visited Pitcairn. It was too rough to land but their Island headman came out to our ship. His name was Christian, a direct descendant of Fletcher Christian. Both Captain Bligh and Fletcher lived on the Isle of Man, as do I. You can still see the house where Fletcher lived in Dalby glen, a beauty spot in the west of the island.
Lovely place to visit, Such a treasure place to live, that's why Britain and French are 'collecting' the secluded, beautiful islands across the world to inhabited in it, it's a treasure.
I think you're about 200-400 years out, neither country is 'collecting' islands any more. Tristan da Cunha was settled by the British in 1810, over 200 years ago.
The british took Tristan when they put Napoléon in exil on Ste Hélène because they were scared that he could escape with the French army from the south!!! Ste Hélène is 2300 kms North east from Tristan !!😇😇😇😇 So Tristan should have been portugese (Tristao da Cunha) and it is british !!!!!!??????
I know he's also talking about St Helena, but I don't think he should be casually showing pictures of St Helena (e.g. 00:51, 4:50, 7:09) when he's talking about Tristan Da Chuna. Also, what about the helicopter at 01:00? It says on it "Faroe Island" 😄
Yes, it looks like it is pronounced Coon Yeah. The only thing I learned from this video and that is because he mis-pronounced the name of the island he was talking about. He is just showing pictures and reading from a source like wiki. Sad.
some of the footage you show is exactly the same as footage I have seen in a BBC documentary about the island, do you have the required copyright permissions to use it?!
Informative video, but the narrator breathing in through what sounds like a runny nose in between virtually every sentence drove me completely insane. Seriously gross.
It's a pity this kind of narrator is too lazy to do proper research as to how certain words are pronounced. When describing their subject, these narrators always sound like they were expelled from schooling at eight years old and never allowed to return. But, then, one has to make allowances when remembering the appalling failures of the U.S. education system.

It is bizarre, but I suspect English may not be his first language. Otherwise, the video is exceptionally well made.

Notice that there are lots of clips from the Faroe Islands! Thought it was just about Tristan da cunha.
Somehow i believe this is a place where there might be an hidden UFO base of extra-terrestrial either on the island or at the bottom of the sea.
I've seen this in the map so i decided look for documentary
There literally is an island called "Inaccessible island". Crazy!
Where do they get water from?
Imagine how much you need to pay for shipping when buying something online, if its possible anyway
Do they get cable?
R Chep' E lago ?
🚨Ar chey pluhgo🚨
Good information but I think you should stick to Tristan da Cunha only related images.
I think you should mind your own business brother.
At least they have access to Starlink for internet service.
Most of the voiceover script is read straight from the islands Wikipedia page.
Why do you pronounce it Tristan Dot Cunha?
:05 is windward oahu.

Another vid voiced by AI reading a script written by ai and probably video content compiled and edited by ai
And. Dish. Washing. Liquid
So. You. Have. To. Bring. Salt. And. Tomoto. Sauce. And. A. Pot for. The. Spuds
Sniffle problem?!?! Dude, I turned it off at 4:31... too annoying
Don't think so. I think that's Pitcairn Island.
Another weird place.
exactly what i was thinking. but hardly ANYONE knows of its existence. So THAT HAS to be the most remote island
That's not the correct way to pronounce Gough Island.
Wikipedia word for word narration.
That constant, off-time sniff and bizarre pronunciation (archplaygo) sure sounds like AI narration
Lots of inaccuracies and he pronounces some words like a total spazoid.
Yeah, 'spazoid,' isn't really an ok term, completely insulting to people with cerebral palsy.
Bro said arch ep lago

They've already built an airport.
