  • In this viewer requested video, I'm comparing two very different types of homeschool chemistry courses, both of which we have successfully used in our homeschool. The first is a "traditional" chemistry course from Berean Builders. The second is a "non-traditional" chemistry course from Guest Hollow. I'll go through what chemistry topics each covers, how things are introduced, methods of teaching/learning, and key similarities and differences between the two.

You are seriously a homeschool fairy godmother with all these videos! My friend wrote The Joy of Chemistry and I was so excited to see it on this list 😀

Your comparison was perfectly well-organized! Thanks for taking the time to do this. My daughter loves science, but I've found she has zero desire to go into the math and formulas of college level science. So my goal is to keep her learning and enjoying the process. She will probably go into graphic design or pilot training . . . Maybe both. Luckily, chemistry isn't a requirement for either! Still, I want her to have a working knowledge, especially in the kitchen.

This was a wonderful comparison! I'll definitely be using GH Chemistry in the Kitchen as an elective for my aspiring chef!

This video was exactly what I needed! The co-op we attend is offering both of these courses, and I will have a student in each because one of my children will need the math and the other will not. Thank you so very much for this video!

I might have missed it, but did you mention where you got those atom models? Tried to go to your Amazon link, but it gave me a page not found message.
