I loved the q30, and as a plus they came in clutch during the pandemic. I would secure the face mask to the headphones thanks to the design. I used them 5 days a week for extended hours since launch, because the environment I work in is loud, and they are still kicking. Had to buy the q45 almost immediately after getting the email.
Just got a pair for 99$ , they have very good build quality, noise cancelling is more than decent and battery life is amazing , at 99$ these are a must have !!!
well considering the price, it makes sense as wear detection is sometimes very difficult to get right such as in the case of B&W headphones, and it might require a lot of testing and time, at least the build quality improved
@@Jiggy609 I totally get what you mean! I went headphone hunting this week and so many new models have the "circle sticking out". I guess people seem to like it since they just keep making it
Just ordered the Q45's using your link and coupon code. I think using your link is important so you can get credit for the purchase, you are my most trusted reviewer. Going to have the A40's and Q45's now and saved $50 total using the coupon code for both, not too bad. Upgrading from my Q30's, they are moving to my computer from my big screen.
These are absolutely awesome. I have a soundcore space Q 45 and model of the space Q 45 that I have. Does it have it where you can listen to them without them being on when you plug it into an ox cable. I am blind and autistic, and I use them as noise, canceling headphones to help with my autism, and for that they work beautifully. I am amazed at how well noise is canceled out by soundcore and how things are done in that department. I love all the features that they have and really liked it. You can change the sound quality. Ever since I started using soundcore, I have a lesson anxiety and less issues when it comes to behavior and I haven’t been having irritable bowel syndrome issues as much as I did with other headphones that I’ve used when I’ve listen to them. This is all because they cancel out noise well enough that I can focus, although they do not completely cancel out noise. But the good thing is that you can’t swim out enough to where I can focus and calm down and be able to think and stop a meltdown from occurring. Sometimes they don’t work and they don’t help but most of the time we do. I used to use soundcore‘s wife tune Headphones, which were the beginning of my soundcore journey. I am trying out other companies so that way I have other options besides just sound core. But all in all the sound core headphones are a life changer for me and a big game changer when it comes to my life with autism. I would say kudos to soundcore for a great product and a somewhat durable one. The life tunes I don’t think are as durable as the space Q 45. It does help that they have the aluminum large hinge on them. Now if somebody can get soundcore to send me a free extra set of headphones, that would be awesome because I’ve been trying to get, the insurance that I have to cover my headphones under medical devices. I meant cancel it out, and I meant the word that not dead. I also meant life not wife. Sometimes my voice dictation thinks I’m trying to say something else other than what I am trying to say. It’s because of the way, my speech is as part of my autism. So bear with me on the typos.
Great review. I just got these and loving them. One gripe I do have: the track controls seem to be backwards, you long press to change the track and single press for volume, but I find myself switching tracks way more often than messing wit the volume. If you are being active (running etc..), it is a pain point, especially since you have the nice transparency mode button that quickly lowers the volume for you if you suddenly need to be more aware of your surroundings.
these are not primarily geared for sports so unfortunately you might be the exception. I would assume most people use the volume control more than switching tracks (atleast that's the case with me) so I can see why they would program it that way. but would be cool if you could switch it in the app

First of all, thanks for the great and professional review. The other reviewers are advertising agents :) The headphones arrived yesterday and I have mixed impressions of them. Anker always adds something, but also takes something away. The sound is cleaner and less bassy compared to the Q30, but flat when the ANC is on. I hope an update will resolve this. The Q35 had the same sound issues. I don't know why the touch sensor on the right earpiece was removed, also the auto pause music sensors, missing NFC and I miss the "superior sleep" a bit. I don't understand why Anker is removing proven features! Are they keeping it for the Q55? ANC is improved, but weaker compared to the Sony XM3 and the sound is not as good as the Sony either. So like you said, upgrading from Q30 and Q35 is nonsense, for a new customer a must :)
Additional information dealing with the controls, starting around 6:59. There is one button that controls five functions--only four mentioned. Play/Pause; Answer/End calls; XX; Mute/Mic; Voice Assist. Which action is the default setting when the headphone is first connected to one's PC--either via 3.5mm cable or via Bluetooth? Or, does the last setting remain "live" until button is pressed to select another action? (Alas, the print documentation is woefully lacking for this superlative device...a shame.)
Great review. One thing that a lot of reviewers are not addressing is the difference in padding on the headband itself. On the Q35, there is a lot of padding making it comfortable to wear for long periods of time but in Q45, they reduced that padding to almost non-existent level and it does make a difference when you wear it.
The Q45 still have alot of padding, it is just more stiff and you have to "break" them down and you will be fine. But I agree the Q35 are more comfortable.
The lack of padding on the headband doesn't bother me at all. The padding around the ear cups is so much, it kind of compinsates for the lack of padding on the headband at least for me.
Great review! I just purchased these, can't wait to pick them up tomorrow. I am upgrading from the Soundcore Life Q10 which has worn down from heavy use. Thank you! :)
A good song to listen to for checking out the sound on earbuds or headphones is The Package by A Perfect Circle. It's got good bass punchy drums great vocals and guitar. It will really give what you're testing a good test
Anker sent me an updated firmware (v 02.16) for my headphones that fixes the sound issues. For now, it's a beta version. The bass is more pronounced, but the sound is still different and flatter when the ANC is on. It's definitely an improvement though. So we'll see if it gets even better in the official update.
@@erhmmmmcat1 I have beta version 2.17, but officially the last one is about 2.13, every week they write me that they will release an update, but still nothing.

I watched this video when it first came out and was toying with Apple AirPods Max. Since then, I didn't do anything because, I have been happy with my Q35s. The beauty of my use case is that I can use the 3.5mm plug on my sound system and then i use noise cancelling when I play drums. I am in a glass cage so, the sound is deafening without ANC. The Q35s held up quite well BUT Amazon had a sale on the 45's for 100.00 so, I grabbed them. I am going to probably be laughed at for saying this but, my experience thus far is that the Q35s have a better sound output than the Q45s. I am glad to have them but, not overly excited. So, if you listen to the end of the video where he suggests that if you have the 35s already that you will not need this "upgrade." He is correct - you do not need them. I am going to hold on to them and wait for the 35 battery to die but, it was not worth the purchase. Also, he says that if you need an over the ear and do not have anything, this is where you need to be. Right on target, as usual.
I've seen a couple of reviews specifically mentioning that passive listening IS indeed possible with the Q45 turned off. So which is it? Maybe changed with a firmware update?
Great video man. I have lots of headphones but this are my everyday ones. No problem with them. Actually sound better than my sennhiser pcx 550, love watching your vids, keep them coming please? 💯👍👌👌
Just got to point that I’ve had mine for quite a while now and yes you can do passive listening with these power off. I do so all the time while watching movies and playing games. You’re right by the way, that aux cable soundcore provided is crap so I bought my own separate.
Wearing noise cancelling headphones worked like magic for me, I was the tyoe to get distracted by my peripheral vision and hearing. Soundcore gave me an affordable option for that.
That happened with the _passive hearing_ as well. *_Soundcore listens._* So glad the *Hear ID* has been added, since my *Q45's* arrive today. Was going to get *Q35's* until I saw *Q45's* were on sale for $99 (that appears to be over by the time of this comment). *EDIT:* Somewhat related, I've had some truly exceptional customer service¹ with *Soundcore.* But, as with all things, your mileage may vary. ··•●✺●•·· ¹ ─ Having contacted them via email, in case the distinction matters. 🤷🏼♂️
@@hugonorival9609 I love it so far. Really good quality and I couldn’t really tell the difference between the q45 and my Bose. I went on a 2 week vacation and it lasted on one charge
Hey Jefe, just order a pair of these for 76 pounds in the UK, super excited to get them. Apparently a update means you can use hear ID with them now which was a game changer for my liberty 3 pros
@@whu1001hey man I got mine "certified refurbished" off eBay for that price, they came directly from soundcore and were in as new condition sealed box I couldn't tell they were not new at all) but they are discounted pretty regularly on Amazon as well new down to like 110 pounds
Mic sounds good. No passive listening is weird, sometimes I run the battery out and this is mainly why I use the AUX cable. The much cheaper Q30 has it. Lack of touch controls is also weird, why do you it when you already have the tech? Cutting corners? Feels like Q30 were too good for their price and Soundcore is unable to justify a big increase in price for future models. Remember how they removed ANC in wired mode retroactively, as if to make a feature exclusive to Q35?
As a user of Space Q45, it definitely has passive listening via Aux/audio jack. That’s why it has an audio jack port on the right cup. It can be listened when powered off. I think El Jefe made a mistake here? And Q45 can also do ANC while in wired mode.
Pretty nice review man , I'm new to your channel so good work. I loke soundcore but there customer service sucks in the sense that they don't know how there own products work. Long story short I bought liberty pro 3 due to nice reviews, I was trying to listen to aac with my earbuds and went thru owner options and changed from aac to ldac and it wasn't working on both samsung devices. So I called customer service and emailed. Customer service didn't know there own products enough to tell me how to do this process which is quite simple and should be known by there representatives. The issue was in the soundcore app you have to download drivers and wala it works. They had me send in BRAND NEW earbuds for warranty bc they couldn't advise me how to use ldac and sent me back REFURBISHED earbuds when they never needed to be replaced bc they couldn't walk thru there own products options , just sub par to me pissed that they did this. Brand new doesn't =REFURBISHED and nothing was wrong with them in first place just incompetent customer service
Thanks for sharing your experience. They definitely need to tighten that up. I'd rather wait longer for an informed response than get a quick reply with bad info.
I love the pale pink color at Q35, so i wish it will be release the pink one at Q45 and I will buy for sure... I love soundcores, budget and high quality performance. I always bought at Amazon, and i sell it here in the Philippines. I gonna say soundcore here is worth buying where Filipinos hit the taste of soundcore. I already got q20, q20+, q30, q35, q45! I sold 2pcs of q20+, 1pc of q20, and q35. Im using my q30, and on hand of Q45... All are good.... :)
The ear cups are not breathable and sometimes there's a shift in the way they sound when the pressure inside is released esp when walking or running. Overall, I love them. Anker nailed it....i just wish the earcups had more breathing space.
small correction you can have passive earing with the aux cable without powering on i am using it with a pc and it working without me turning on the headphone
Omg I nearly brought the Q30 I even asked Soundcore if they had any new products coming but they could not reply properly as I think they still needed customers to buy they existing products
The information is under embargo. The employs are not allowed to give out that info prior to the public announcement. So it's less that they want you to buy older products, and more that they're not allowed to say anything even if they wanted to.
I just ordered a pair!! They should be arriving in 2-3 days which I’m excited for, I came from the AirPods Max but after 2 years they simply stopped working, and since the apple care was also over their solution was to get a new pair since according to them, they can’t fix them 💀💀 I didn’t want to spend any extra so overall these seem like the best value for money 👏🏼🙏🏼
If I am not wrong, q35 got passive listening via cable with one of the updates. At least, I switch them off, connect to my xbox controller and they do not do any "power on" sound and none of the buttons are working neither.
Finally someone who talks about the latency in videos. THANK YOU! :) I watched nearly every review about these headphones but barely someone talked about how the latency is while watching videos.
Well, I just splurged to get the Q45s. Enjoyed the Q35s but some reason the music chops in LDAC codec. Work around that I do works but hassle to do every single time each morning starting my walks. Hoping Q45s do not have to make me do the work around daily.
Wouldn't buy the Q45 now as my Q30 is still going hard. More than 2 years and it's still sounding like when it was brand new. Best headphones I've owned. Comfortable, great sound, awesome EQ modes and I've paid way less than it was regularly announced for as it was Black Friday when I bought it. Still impresses many people who use them for their first time, including a friend of mine who owns the Sony XM3 and beyond mad because of how much cheaper the Q30 was in comparison, and held its own against the Sony.
Hey man, a fellow Q30 user here approaching the 3 years mark. I love em to bits but my cups recently started tearing up and the spongey parts are now visible. Do you have any solution in mind?
Anker sells cups replacements for very cheap, recently got mine and it feels brand new again. There are also offbrand sellers but I had no reason to go for them since they weren't cheaper lol
I have a pair of Q35 and their sound leakage is very bad; even with low volumes, people can hear what I'm listening quite clearly. Does the Q45 have good sound leakage?
Dear El Jefe. Thanks a lot for your great and very friendly reviews. I just want to let you know that I bought these Soundcore Space Q45 in part bc of you and must tell you that THEY DO HAVE PASSIVE LISTENING with the cable without turning themselves on The one thing I notice is that with the cable the music quality seems to diminish instead of improve. Perhaps I have an updated version, I don't know but I'm happy to say this. Once again, thank you for your recomendations :)
For an average user like me, comparing the anc between the q35 and 45 will not be a problem right, maybe like doing tasks in a cafe or traveling on a plane. I mean it will satisfy us as a average user in using the anc right?
Hi Jeff can you compare Cleer Enduro ANC vs Soundcore q45? Which one has better sound quality and comfortability of those two? Will comoany Cleer launch new model of headphones this year (any info)?
Why get rid of the touch activated headphone for anc etc, real backward step. Q30 is still not worth upgrading yet. Waiting for the q60 by the looks of it. 2 gens time

Awesome review. These are exactly what I am looking for.
Glad I could help!
I've seen a couple of reviews specifically mentioning that passive listening IS indeed possible with the Q45 turned off. So which is it? Maybe changed with a firmware update?
It was fixed via firmware update after this video was released.
Great video man. I have lots of headphones but this are my everyday ones. No problem with them. Actually sound better than my sennhiser pcx 550, love watching your vids, keep them coming please? 💯👍👌👌
Glad you like them!
Great review thanks! I got a FW update first day to improve the extra bass feature. Another great reason to use the app!
Absolutely!
Jefe Dropping that Fire ITB
Appreciate you coming through bro!
Thx for good review just bought the Q45 and im pretty happy thx for your pro explication !!!
Glad I could help!
what did you mean by "no passive listening" ?
Just got to point that I’ve had mine for quite a while now and yes you can do passive listening with these power off. I do so all the time while watching movies and playing games. You’re right by the way, that aux cable soundcore provided is crap so I bought my own separate.
Wearing noise cancelling headphones worked like magic for me, I was the tyoe to get distracted by my peripheral vision and hearing. Soundcore gave me an affordable option for that.
Nice!
surprising how you wanted the HearID and now an update gives them
Nice!
That happened with the _passive hearing_ as well. *_Soundcore listens._*
So glad the *Hear ID* has been added, since my *Q45's* arrive today. Was going to get *Q35's* until I saw *Q45's* were on sale for $99 (that appears to be over by the time of this comment).
*EDIT:* Somewhat related, I've had some truly exceptional customer service¹ with *Soundcore.* But, as with all things, your mileage may vary.

Just wanted to add a _"thank you"_ to you @@ELJefeReviews. I appreciate the in depth and honest review (as always).
Thank you.
Wow, very high quality review! I just purchased the q45
Me too , what are they like for you?
What you think of the headphone?
@@hugonorival9609 I love it so far. Really good quality and I couldn’t really tell the difference between the q45 and my Bose. I went on a 2 week vacation and it lasted on one charge
Hey Jefe, just order a pair of these for 76 pounds in the UK, super excited to get them. Apparently a update means you can use hear ID with them now which was a game changer for my liberty 3 pros
Where are you purchasing these from as i haven't seen them for less than £140?
@@whu1001hey man I got mine "certified refurbished" off eBay for that price, they came directly from soundcore and were in as new condition sealed box I couldn't tell they were not new at all) but they are discounted pretty regularly on Amazon as well new down to like 110 pounds
@@whu1001 I just got them on amazon for around 80
Awesome video brother. Thanks for sharing. Nice headphones. Keep the content coming. Hope you have an incredible weekend. Much love and RESPECT
Thanks for the visit bro!
How do these compare to the Cleer Enduro's? Which would you consider the better buy around the same price?
My guy…putting in the work!!!
We out here bro!
Best review on these!
Glad you think so!
Just got mine today and holy molly they added hearID to them and frankly soundcore struck gold with hearID
Bruh... The opening animation is SICK
Yeah bro! RUclips gives us like 15 different options and that one is easily the best one.
So sorry for your loss
100% top notch review. Well done!
Thank you!🙏🏼
@@ELJefeReviews How would you compare these to the Beats Studio 3 for someone with a lot of Apple stuff at both the same price?
I'd get the Beats for stronger bass response and easy connectivity with my Apple devices.
@@ELJefeReviews thanks! Just ordered them and AirPod Pro's for when I am working at the coffee shop.
Just ordered them. Appreciate the discount bro!
Right on bro!
@@ELJefeReviews that sweet, sweet, affiliate link revenue 💰💰💰🤑
@@ELJefeReviews I also bought the q30s for myself. Because... Reasons 😏
🔥🔥 The fact you can grab these for $120 is sheer madness!!
Facts bro! Crazy good price.
Nice!
This was fixed via firmware after I released this video.
Another fabulous review. No passive listening = no go though, bro. Have a great weekend.
Fair enough!
I also like acoustic EQ! I am waiting for these to go on sale. Going from Q35 to Q45!
Smart move. These always get big discounts in November.
Hi Jefe. Can I know your opinion between Soundcore q45 and Edifier wh950nb? What should I get? Price aside please. Thank you in advance.
I'm also awaiting that answer . . .
I bought the Q35 for 55$. Unfortunately the Q45 were to big for my head so I had to return them and get the Q35 since they fit on my head better
Thanks for sharing your experience! It's always helpful to hear how different models work for different people. Enjoy your Q35s!
@@ELJefeReviews thank you king 👑
I just ordered a pair!! They should be arriving in 2-3 days which I’m excited for, I came from the AirPods Max but after 2 years they simply stopped working, and since the apple care was also over their solution was to get a new pair since according to them, they can’t fix them 💀💀
I didn’t want to spend any extra so overall these seem like the best value for money 👏🏼🙏🏼
Nice solid review as always!
Much appreciated!
Man how can we wan to watch several reviews knowing you're doing the best ones 😭
Much appreciated bro.
Thank you ! Big quality !
Glad I could help!
I bought soundcore q45 but it produces weird noise when turning anc on, there is weird noise on The left side
Send it back.
@@ELJefeReviews After updating the headset , it almost disappeared
Should I sent It back?
If it's still bothersome and noticeable I would. You shouldn't hear any strange noise.
The passive listening capability is important when the battery goes bust... We can use it as normal headphone
Well, I just splurged to get the Q45s. Enjoyed the Q35s but some reason the music chops in LDAC codec. Work around that I do works but hassle to do every single time each morning starting my walks. Hoping Q45s do not have to make me do the work around daily.
Very good review! Keep it up!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Wow those xm5 mics really shine in the noisy environment 🤯😱
Definitely do!
I had a set of Q30s, and I personally think the Q45s are a huge improvement, but I may be biased considering the old ones were broken lol.
Same situation here lol
What about the mic
@@mohamedehab9342 Just buy replacement ones on the internet. There is a video that shows it's pretty easy to change the Q30 earcups.
Anker sells cups replacements for very cheap, recently got mine and it feels brand new again. There are also offbrand sellers but I had no reason to go for them since they weren't cheaper lol
Hear ID did come to these headphones! I tested them recently and loved the feature!
Just got my Q45s. Charging for first time and then will be checking them out.
Hello, could you review the 1MORE Sonoflow? I'm trying to decide if I should get the Q45 or Sonoflow. You got the most detailed reviews.
Go with the Q45
Awesome videos! Thank you
I ordered mine yesterday's and I can't wait to use them
Thanks Much !
EL JEFE REVIEWS
Thank you for watching!
I have a pair of Q35 and their sound leakage is very bad; even with low volumes, people can hear what I'm listening quite clearly. Does the Q45 have good sound leakage?
Great Review Thanks!
Thanks for watching!
They fixed the problem after this video was released.
I dont understand. They do have hearid and of course they have passive listening otherwise what would the 3.5 port be for?
Passive listening was fixed after the video was released. HearID was added later on as well.
Wow so they released the headphones with a useless 3.5 port at release? That’s crazy
Some say yes. Others say theirs worked fine at launch. 🤷🏼♂️ All I could do was report on my personal experience with them at that time.
Does ANC work with the passive or BT only? Thanks!
No passive listening on the Q45? What is the AUX cable used for then?
Wired listening with zero lag while powered-on apparently.
Also to give you ANC while wired. But they should give us an option to power device off and use it with no enhancements wired
Why get rid of the touch activated headphone for anc etc, real backward step. Q30 is still not worth upgrading yet. Waiting for the q60 by the looks of it. 2 gens time
No idea!
