Gary: *doesnt understand momma jokes at all*
Gary, two minutes later: *suddenly loves momma jokes*
Stephen Fondriest he just didn’t realize they were doing it out of a place of comradely at first until Julius showed what was going on
@@wordbird35 so what youre saying is he doesn't understand momma jokes, and then instantly loves them?
@@stephenfondriest7023 nah it's exactly what he explained
That's a momma joke
@@stephenfondriest7023 I mean your mama loved them jokes when I was telling it to her last night
This movie has such a great soundtrack.
Denzel nailed this. Favorite movie based on real events
This movie is a hall of famer in my book
The guy who posted this video must be a fellow Eagle Scout of mine. I know the hints.
The other coach took the loss like a G
They won without their defense captin lol
One of the best movies ever ❤❤❤
“On a quarterback, you kidding me coach?” That shit gets me every time. Lol
For me it's the casual/lowkey stiff arm he gives to the other player as he stares at the guy on the ground
@@rainoffire24 yeah... like get outta here dude...
Not to mention they've been getting away with cheap shots the whole game
Funny thing is that the real championship game wasn't even close, the Titans kicked the shit out of the other team, which is pretty much what they did to every team they played all year long.
22steve5150 They actually did have the Marshall game happen in the regular season though.
And then they did not make the playoffs ever again....
You did your research too huh lol.
Mike Alstott it's fucking Mike alstott lol
22steve5150 didn’t they only give up like 28 points *ALL SEASON* or something that’s insane
america needs to watch this movie again..
no kidding
that's too true
so true
Damia 911 fr
Amen to that
Sunshine’s blocks on that last play were disgusting. Like a grown man playing against 5th graders.
Like mascots vs those lil kids lmao
I hear they used 5th graders as extras for that scene...
He straight put his head down and ran through all of them🤣
That's my quarterback
Area-51 Yooo I just seen that shit last video 😂😂😂😂
Sunshine arrived smooth, talked smooth, act chilled....but he was a hell of a beast on the field
And in real life started 4 years for the South Carolina gamecocks
I just got goosebumps 😅
Dude Sunshine did it all.. QB, CB and FB.
YOU BLITZ ALL NIGHT!!!!!!!

Andrew Wallace okay good. It’s not just me.
@Calvin G be well brother. That shows you the power this movie has on your soul and spirit. It's a beautiful thing when you realize it.
"The Titans danced their way into history. 13 and O, the perfect season."
Matthew Hines unlike the patriots ha ha
Esteban Sanchez Ha
Roman Kotas ha ha
Esteban Sanchez lol it’s funny but they still got 6 lol
And they were even better than the movie shows. This game was using alot of creative license. Most of their games weren't that close.
"That's a bad white boy!" #Classic
You are gorgeous
Christian Jackson You are thirsty
rocksolid102 she is beautiful tho
you really took the time to comment on another man's comments
Christian Jackson Thank you.
*The Titans went 13-0 with 9 shutouts in 1971, out scoring their opposition 357-45. Gerry Bertier made 142 tackles and* 42 sacks *in those 13 games and was named All-American*
💯
42 sacks? Really?
@@joshuamarx9547 It's football. You think there aren't stats. Google is your friend.
@@ray.shoesmith I am not denying those stats are real. It's just damn 42 sacks by one player is fucking impressive. Even for the high school level. That's all.
@@ray.shoesmith My man asked a simple question in disbelief and you had to be an a-hole about it.
The ending of this movie with Sunshine and Rev running down the field is one of most favorite scenes in movies. When ever this movie is on I must watch that scene lol
Sunshine out there getting bodies lmao. The blocks were vicious
All the highlight reel footage the water boy studied before he led the Mud Dogs to the Bourbon Bowl lol
Sunshine had the Trevor Lawrence hair before it became a thing lol
@@Yeabro555 Great call from the coaches. They knew Sunshine practised martial arts plus he was the son of a colonel, Sunshine was a wrecking ball haha
Sunshine bodied and shoutout 2 Petey
Rest easy Julius Campbell, Gerry Bertier and Coach Boone...forever Titans, forever remembered.
Wait, the real Julius died?!
@@TheShredtube yeah. Coach yoast, blue, louie lastik, petey jones, and sheryl are gone too.
Holy crap, I just looked it up and Yoast, Boone, and Campbell all died in 2019…
I love how inclusive and diverse this movie was and still managed to flesh out it's characters while telling a great story. A lot of times in modern movies, you get shallow, token characters just for the sake of diversity. It feels forced and fake, where as this movie doesn't do that
chaosXpert well that’s cause the whole movie is based around race. So if they have characters of different race they’re a key part of the story
Not to take away from your comment I do agree, but, this movie was based off of a true story so the characters in this was based around actual people
@@dirtydan2695 actually its very loosely based off a true story. Yes, the Titans were a racially integrated team, that went undefeated and some of the names are the same. But alot of it is movie magic made up. But I'm not trying to away the message of the movie, and lessons, because true or not they are very important. However, they Titans wasn't the only school that was racially integrated, other schools were too, and before they even were. Also, this final game wasn't even close, Titan demolished this team.
its based on true story i think

That's a bad... White boy!
Ronnie Bass, blockin' like a muthafukkin TE too.....
That boy won the game with them blocks,! Mvp sunshine!
Even Boone was impressed by his thug life
Ronnie Bass couldn’t nobody fuck with him
Ronnie bass
A badass
The biggest compliment i could get playing basketball as the only white person would be " Thats a bad white boy " white people who get offended by that have never played sports.
facts
True
We love yall
I love how Sunshine is actually a badass. After he takes out the defender, he pushes back hard on at least 2 opposing players, as they come to check on their teammate. Not to be outdone, he delivers 2 devastating blocks, in the State Championship, to clear a path for Rev. A serious baller.
And he nailed Bertier in the back of the head with a 50 yd bomb
"that's a baaaad white boy man."
Agreed!! Ronnie Bass was a bad ass!!
Bass knew that where he was at that moment needed cleaning.....and he just took a god-dang pressure cleaner and blasted every single nook and cranny he saw
It makes sense, Bass was a defensive back before he moved to Virginia
On the Quarterback? Are you kiddin me Coach?
Love it! :D
Man I just gave yo momma a piggy back right and she weighs twice as much as I do hahahaha. Now that's a real diss right there
Why can't highschool football be like this again. Rain or muddy games. Now we just call certain games off because of weather.
We still do I remember last season we had one away... it was raining went to the game in white pants and jersey came back covered
I remember playing in snow lots of snow
man it might be because it was inclement weather, like if its cold and rainy or something. down here in texas games are only called of because of lightning, or sever weather such as extremley high winds that may begin launching debris
Our coach tells us suck it up and deal with it. "Rain or snow, ya'll are gonna be practicing like you are about to play the best game of your lives."
We get severe weather here. I guess it's better to postpone a game than to have a kid struck by lightning again.
"Your team needs you tonight. You're the colonel & you're going to command your troops, you understand?"
-fucking beautiful
Ties in great with the Gettysburg speech.
@@xjcrossx Also ties in because Ronnie's dad was a military man
That final play gives me chills every time.

I love it, even though it's funny that they have a quarterback running the ball and the other quarterback is the lead blocker for the runner.
srayj that's y they won the other coach had no idea wtf was going on and neither did the players lol
Great movie for portraying leadership, thumbs up if you agree.
jessica perrone not only leadership...but teamwork and acceptance as well
Too bad they don’t make leaders like this anymore.
Begging for thumbs up shure does not portray leadership......
it's more than just leadership, it shows what can be accomplished when people pull their heads out of their asses and work together as one regardless of what makes them different on the outside. We all can continue to learn lessons fro this movie

This is the kind of spirit we need in our nation now more then ever.
The kind of spirit that makes you hate on a guy just because he goes to a different school?

matthew pangelinan I wish I knew what all that meant. I love this movie, not cause it's a football movie, but because it's a true story & the time & setting. The things they were up against cause of the difference in their skin color, but they defeated it.
Jerry Asbury me and Matthew were making quotes from the movie
There are so many things wrong with this movie in so many ways, The ONLY true part is the Titans went undefeated, However. All the teams were integrated by then. The star player was injured in a car crash after the end of the season. He played in the championship game. That Gettysburg scene is pure hokum. The "racist" player who got tossed off the team is fiction. He didn't exist. I could go on and on.
A brilliant set up -- early on the film shows weird Californian, Ronnie "Sunshine" Bass, practicing Qi gong while girls ogle him-- this sets up the pivotal later scene when he basically practices a version of Bruce Lee's technique-- "fighting without fighting", using the tacklers own force against him. It's the best part of the movie.
Using their own force against them. Are you talking about the guy that injured Rev or the guys Sunshine blocked at the end?
@@andreponniah9900 The guy that injured rev.
America needs to watch this movie again 💯💯💯💯💯

This is what we need in the United states right now, we all breathe the same air, we all have the same blood, and we got that, "soul power"
I've never been more inspired to give somebody a concussion.
anyone else get teary-eyed at the end?
when ronnie bass is blocking for Rev on the final play, the sound effects of him hitting the other team’s players is oscar worthy!

Damn Denzel is a good actor that little speech he gave sunshine had me at the edge of my seat classic movie
This film is an absolute eye opener not only the chemistry between the team builds but also between the coaches. This film really is something.
Sunshine out here bullying with those blocks
Dominic Vargas certifies savagery
Every comment on every clip is saying how we all need to watch this movie again or have another movie like it. The globalists and media probably hate this movie because it brings us together and shows the truth of how we all get along once we get to know eachother and it completely calls out their BS divisive agenda.
Hell yeah brother
sincere question, are people that claim to be against globalism also against wars unless absolutely necessary? I don't see how interfering in foreign countries and stealing resources under the guise of humanitarian aid will help reduce the influx of refugees, that's counter productive isn't it?
What is pain?? French bread!!!
4:39-4:43 petey messed that guy up ray lewis style😂😂😂
Today about 12 years ago, Illinois Senator Barrack Obama held a rally at TC Williams HS when he was campaigning for the 2008 Democratic Presidential Primary. I was very young, and was very lucky for my parents to take me so I could hear him inspire a nation. I do not remember his speech at the high school too well, but one of the first things he did was talk about this movie. He said “It’s not only a great movie because it makes the women cry. It also makes the men cry.”

SUNSHINEE! Why don't I just watch the whole movie already, haha?
Ronnie "Sunshine" Bass, the best QB to ever wear the #12 !
This was such a GREAT movie! When I watch it, it reminds me of what BROTHERHOOD means.
"What is pain ? FRESH BREAD !!!" as a Canadian, who places this movie as his second favorite overall.. I'm embarrassed to say that I just realized "pain" is also bread in french which is why they say "FRESH BREAD" bruh....
Brooo I literally had a moment just like sunshine on that disgusting last play,
I’ve always been judged by my team because I tried to switch from offensive lineman to Tight end, and I did nothing to stop it, like Sunshine being seen as different for being gay,
We were down 42-38 and needed a touchdown to put the game away
We had a few seconds on the clock at mid field
And instead of just having our QB(mf had a cannon for an arm) we were gonna run a trick play called “Slot left 68 reverse” to where my teammate was getting the ball and I had to lead block and the guy I was protecting was the only one who believed in me, and the second the QB said “hut” and pitched it to the RB and to my buddy I knocked out 3 guys, literally just like sunshine’s
Jackson Isthebest the glory days bro!! #weremember
Timeline wise...Yost's "Blitz All Night!" speech happened in an earlier game. You can see Bertier standing in the huddle.
This movie proved a point that if two sides take a moment to stop and quit fighting against each but take a moment to understand each they find something in common
I love my race
The human race
Sunshine’s a football god
I've watched this movie so many times but I finally realize how OP Sunshine was in this movie. Literally put the team on his fucking back.
This whole movie gives me chills. “You make sure they remember. FOREVER. The night, they played the TITANS”
MO-BILE! AG-ILE! HOST-ILE!
One of the greatest football movies of all time!
But reading an article about the real Gerry Bertier He actually played in the state championship game! The accident happened after the season, after he left the banquet that honored the 13-0 season they had just completed. He borrowed his mom's Camaro, and lost control and crashed.
Artistic license 😉
It's wonderful to read these comments but the "hero of the hour" is a QB who takes a knee and divides not only his team but a nation. Now "Disney" -- the storyteller company -- is basing stories on him. Too sad.
will you ever quit? no we want some mo we want some mo we want some mo.
Fookin Sunshine! Played both sides. Defense as CB making tackles & interceptions. Offense as QB making long passes, sneaks, & forward blocks...STRONG SIDE!
THE TEAM MADE A STAND / INSPITE OF OPPOSITION !!!!!
AMEN TO THAT !!!!!
AMEN TO THAT !!!
Sent a powerful message if you can understand the message of the movie
I still loved the part of the story that the assistant questioned the number of siblings and not the part about all of the siblings looking up to the youngest
Especially if there were 8-12 the oldest would've probably been in their 30s at the time... I think it shows the story is made up on the spot but it still inspires Sunshine
LEFT SIDE! STRONG SIDE!
This movie's soundtrack often gets attention, but shoutout to Trevor Rabin for composing such an iconic, uplifting orchestral score.
I thank you for bringing that up. The essence, the emotion of a movie is so determined by the musical score. Thank you!
everytime someone says "sunshine" i have to think of queer as folk - "rise and shine sunshine" ^^
The CCR music over the game was perfect! This whole movie was like a CCR song, easy to listen, solid rhythm, smooth style, not costing much brain cells, and is good over and over again!
