- In this installment of the manual transmission conversion process - we go over the pedal aspects. Changing out the brake pedal, adding in the clutch pedal along with the clutch master cylinder and master cylinder reservoir.
i just started my 5 speed conversion on my cb7 this week your videos have been extremely helpful thank you
This video was a blessing today. Awesome work. Thanks for sharing
Great video series so far man!
When replacing brake pedal. I had to remove complete back bracket holding gas pedal. There's a spring on top of brake pedal impossible to(install) with (brake/gas pedal) beacket in the car. No shortcut. I used original hydraulic line to clutch slave(from salvage yard)save $ plus 1 less floppy hose to your engine bay. Just had to drill an tap 3- #8mm holes in passenger side engine bay.
Thank you for your videos!! I have a auto lx sedan, Soon to be manual.
when is part 4 coming out im really planning a manual swap on my cb7? your video's are so helpful!!!
It'll be a shorter one as I'm just going to talk about transmission choices, mounts, install a bracket and throwout bearing. Then have to shift focus on the H22 engine prep. Probably 2 weeks out on that one as I'm finishing up the interior restoration content. Thanks for watching!
I second this motion ur videos are very on point
Can’t believe no one had grabbed the 4runner front calipers when you looked at it.
Do you have a part number for the clutch line? Thanks
That CB7 Coupe on the Junkyard is the same interior color that I'm looking for😧😟
any preludes in that yard 👀 i can't find any close to me for my 4th gen lol great video can't wait to see this all done. before i grabbed my lude i was looking for a coupe but couldn't find any in good shape
I have never seen a 4th gen Lude in the yard after all the visits. Those things are getting to be extinct sadly enough!
@@randomrebuilds yeah i know, i found a clean body shell and drove 8 hour there 20 hours total lol just to get one...fixing it up then going to start hunting for a motor
@@UpInSmoke123 That's whats up man! When you bring something back to life and wrench away many hours on it, the car feels much more special to you! Have you considered a K swap or you sticking with H?
@@randomrebuilds well this one came with the single cam f series, im stuck between a f20b and k24 at the moment. f20b would be cheaper and easier but they are getting harder to find. so still haven't made up my mind yet
@@UpInSmoke123 Believe you could still go H as there will just be some minor wiring changes going into the ECU (which I plan to cover) and also the corresponding ECU needed as well.
So u don’t have to connect none of the clutch cables on the senor on both of them ?
For the third bolt on the clutch pedal is the hole there or do you need ti drill it in? Or is it not needed (the third top hole on pedal assembly)
Everything is there, the hole and threads already exists under the dash. Then the master cylinder studs that poke through the firewall attach to the pedal base.
Were did you get the braided clutch master cylinder line from. I'm doing the same swap on a 1999 Accord. Also w were did you get your info for you swap.
Believe I ordered it off ebay. Just make sure you pre-measure the length enough to go along the firewall and then go into the front side of the transmission.
Hey so I have some dumb questions I’m following your video but I’m doing the same motor F22a1 from auto to manual. And had some questions
Sure - what questions do you have?
im following your videos for the converting part swapped in my manual shifter and cables. now the harness i coppied yours but the wires that go through the firewall they just go to the sensor on top of the manual tranny right? and also the axles out the manual body are different they have bracket that bolts to the tranny. all the axles i found for it dont have the bracket.... would that matter to the hubs? if that makes sense

When will the next ep release?
Next release relates to the interior resurrection, then we'll focus on the transmission aspects.
What year is the cluch master cylinder and where did you get the braided hoses
Clutch master cylinder is for a 90-93 Accord. The braided line I picked up off ebay.
I believe the clutch master cylinder will work from 90-96
Worst thing about the 4runner is the 3vze 3.slow lol the 22r/e had more power and torque in my opinion
Can you sale this car sir please
