      what's mpg difference expected ? of any
      I've been thinking of this of course too but dont wanna give up my mpg at 5.50 a gallon 🤦🏼‍♂️

      @@MrDedwardk biggest thing is the f22a you have now is fine on lower octane. However, the usdm and jdm h22's are best kept at 91 or 93. Higher octane = higher resistance to detonation. Detonation is bad when you're spinning at over 8000 rpm's 👍

    Can you please help me? I have a 1990 cb7 and i wanting to swap but i need to know what engine can i use. From what I’m reading the 1990 accord was obd0

    • @randomrebuilds
      @randomrebuilds  2 года назад

      Any 90-93 Accord F22 engine is a direct drop in replacement. Although there is a slight variation with the EX having 140hp which might need the EX ECU. Now if you want to swap to a completely different engine - H22 from a 92-96 Prelude would be the easiest route. I was converting an OBD2 engine during this process.

    • @randomrebuilds

      Sounds like a tough one. The only wire I messed with was the oil pressure extension. The knock, VTEC was added separately into the ECU pigtail.

    Will you have to weld the passenger side mount for the manual transmission?

    • @randomrebuilds
      @randomrebuilds  2 года назад

      On the transmission prep video, I installed a special mount that has an offset which requires no cutting/welding of the frame rail bracket.

    • @metsrock15
      @metsrock15 2 года назад +1

      @@randomrebuilds in other words it bolts to the automatic trans mount that’s different then the manual trans mount by like 1.25 inches (or something like that). The innovative trans mount makes it possible to use the automatic passenger. Because I plan on doing this to my cb9 and that’s the one thing that sorta deters me.

      When I did my auto to manual swap and then my subsequent f20b swap I used the automatic transmission connectors for other sensors. I.e. my reverse switch and my VTEC wiring. I figured there were already wires that went through my firewall with the harness to the TCU so I used them like wiring highways to do what I wanted them to do. Still gotta watch you VTEC wiring video but I love all your videos so far. Keep up the good work.
