The original vtec solenoid looked in better shape and im pretty sure they're exactly the same part but the jdm just has a block off bolt for the vtec pressure switch hole, might be worth seeing if you can just take that bolt off and thread in a vtec pressure switch into the JDM vtec solenoid housing to anyone whos doing this swap!

how is the daily driving on the CTR? Im in a similar situation; looking to buy a manual sports touring for daily use but also really love the wide body design on the CTR and I would really love to own one... the pricing situation is what's holding me back and it's quite a bit more money than I can afford at the moment.

Question. Why didn't you go for the type S? At your age i would think it would be a much better car suited to you. Much more mature not so boy racer, nicer inside, better seats, better audio, more features, more power ect. Win win. I'm currently waiting for mine. Thankfully it's illegal in Canada for dealers to sell a car over MSRP.
