You’re welcome! And that’s awesome, normally people keep the D series in the civics, you’ll want a larger motor for an accord like an H,K,F, or even J series if you can squeeze it in! H series are probably the most underrated Honda motors in my opinion, but they can definitely gap some SRTs with a mild engine build and a turbo. And good eye!
i Subbed Cuz i got a cb7 That im doing a h swap in ! this actuelly made me wanna do it forsure now. i already make a decent power with my all motor F22A1 . but am tired of the singlecam
Secondary runner controls will need to be wired in on the h intake manifolds. This chassis DID NOT come with the connections in the harness. Unless you got a spacer, an aftermarket intake manifold or you gutted it, this will need to be done and do before the motor goes in, sooooooo much easier. This info also applies to the Acura CL's as well. A BB4 prelude mount, slighty grinded on the sides, will let you bolt into the chassis AND use the original mount on the motor without modding it(Sohc bracket it short, dohc bracket it long) or you might get lucky to score an Si-R mount from ebay overseas.
Nice ride! Ima swap my F22B1 out of my 96 Accord sedan with an H22A. Is your H22A engine a plan H22, type S or R, if so was there any components that needed to be changed? Where did you purchase your jdm engine from?
Good video, I just want to add the accord and prelude transmissions are NOT the same. Gear ratios are longer in most Accord transmissions something to watch out for using the new VTec crossover

I have same year wagon with auto and f22b1. What do I need to do for manual swap? Also did you get the wagon with the roof rack or is it aftermarket and if so where did you find one?
daniel koontz you need the pedals, shifter, master cylinder, clutch line, and slave cylinder. As well as I clutch kit of course. And the roof rack cane with the car when I bought it so I’m not sure
I’m doing a h22a4 swap on my 97 accord witch is a obd2 car the motor I got is a obd2 as well what will I need to make this work I’ve got the mounts the axles with half shaft should I still rip out the injector resistor or keep it in? And on the distributor is there any special wiring I should do or does the OBD2 h22a4 have the crank sensors by the crank pulley?
So I just watched this I’m wanting too do this exact swap I’m alittle slow and still learning … so my manual stock f22b1 tranny will match too this motor and all the motor mounts will match too this motor too? Also if the tranny matches does this mean my axles and suspension will too?
Hey! Yes your F22 trans will bolt up to the h22 motor. All the mounts will match, except the drivers side mount. You might need to drill a hole how I did, or get 94’ prelude h22 engine post mount. Or hasport sells the full mount kit. Axles and suspension will match as well, just use compatible half shafts. So if you use your accord axles, use your accord half shaft. If you use prelude axles, use the prelude half shaft. Also, use the accord rear t-bracket for the rear mount. I hope this all helped!

I got a 99 Honda Accord EX coupe and I wanna swap it but I’m worried about where I can buy a legit good low mileage engine. Can you tell me where you got your engine?
If you have the budget, you can get one online that’s been cleaned and checked. If not, you can look on Facebook marketplace, Craigslist or offer up. You can also go and scan your local junk yards as well
Mine is a 97 EX f22b1 auto. Will the H22 bolt right on to the auto trans or will they not work together? I don't really want to do the auto to manual swap.

The H23 should be a very similar process as the H22 when it comes to swapping. The only difference I know of between the two motors are the size of course, and I think the H22A head flows better (unless you have a blue top H23).
