Great videos, no stupid offtopic talk over the thing you do and these videos work well as documentation for people who want to aswell do these modifications. Instantly ordered the channel. These videos are underrated!
This video just got you a new subscriber. I've been a mechanic for 24 year's. Your knowledge is awesome! Are you a mechanic or just a great tuner? No hate here, however you sould only use blue loctite on on brakes. Plus, never hammer on the cv axle end at the hub. Sometimes it mushrooms it and will be hard to get the nut back on. If you put anti seize on the cv axle splines, you'll never have to use a hammer. Anyways you were perfect on your installation. I don't know how old you are, but you have a great future as a mechanic/tuner. Keep up the great work. 👍
As usual great and very clean video, the car looks awesome just don't stop to fast them brakes calipers and rotors look like they'll send you through the front windshield lol, just got my 95 Odyssey front knuckle and hub, picking up the prelude rear hubs for my 95 Accord tomorrow can't wait to get all put together, thanks for tips man.

@Raylan Josue thanks for your reply. I found the site through google and im in the hacking process now. Seems to take quite some time so I will get back to you later with my results.
Hey man csn you do the big brake upgrade without doijg the 5 lug conversion? Just curious because i want to keep mone 4 lug and get bigger calipers/rotors in the front
damian davis I have seen forums where civic and teg guys where running the RL calipers. I just don’t know what parts were needed to make them fit. I would look into fastbrakes.com
He I have shaking in my front end from street driving to freeway. I have new axles and tie rods alignment and wheels balanced. New tires new wheels and I tightened a loose bolt on front sway bar but it still shakes. 3-4 Accord iv owned and never had this issue while being lowered. I haven’t gotten under the car and checked everything but looked a few times and everything looks ok. Any ideas?
Canongang so I would first check all the ball joints and make sure they’re good and tight. After that check and make sure the traction bars to the front subframe are tight. After that it could be the rack itself or maybe really bad motor mounts.
Taylor Young yeah that’s what kept me away from it for a while. I did come across a forum a long time ago that listed 16” wheels that will clear the rl calipers. If I find it I’ll send it to you!
I’m new to your channel! I have a 93 EX Accord. Mine is black w tan and black interior and I’m starting to work on it like you’ve been doing. I didn’t know they are called CB7. And just learned the wagon is a CB9. What are the coups called? Great content maaan!!!
I have a cb7 with an f20b in it I want to do the 5 lug swap on mine what parts do I need to get I already have the RL calipers also what upper control arms are you using
I go over the parts I used I think in ep3. I'm also gonna be redoing a lot of the old videos now that I'm kind of rebuilding the CB7 coupe. and they're skunk 2 upper control arms. look into CD5 UCA,s a couple more options.
I bought the same rotors n they don’t fit I also bought the máxima rotors n they don’t fit over the hub... the inside or the rotors are too small for e outside of the hub.?? Any ideas?
They are Skunk2 upper A arms for an ef civic or crx. Just be aware fully extended there will still be negative camber which I was going for, if you're looking for a control arm to correct negative camber you'll want to go with something else.
Dwayne Lewis when using the bracket to mount the caliper it spaces it away from the center of the wheel. Which then leaves you with needing a bigger rotor to overcome that extra space. So the best solution that people have found is using the 350z track edition rotors and bore the center.
oh. yeah that makes sense. Im going to be doing this to my honda element. I was going to use tl type s brakes but I didn't wanna drill out the holes on my knuckle, so I might be going this route
Hey man, doing a 5 lug RL swap on my CD5, these videos are so helpful :) What did u end up doing for the custom brake lines up front for the RL calipers?
Ok, so somewhere on here (YT) there's a beater 4 door that's 11teen different colors and it's 5 lug w/ 300zx wheels (5x114.3) and they look great on it. I have a '91 and a set of said wheels (16", pretty sure). Is this what I want to do to run 'em?
Christopher Elrod Stay away from those Skunk2 arms. Get an SPC camber kit. They make a kit specifically for the CB7 that is available in +/- 1.5° or +/- 3°
Ehh I would still recommend the skunk2 upper control arms because the spc camper kit is just a ballpoint that is adjustable. If you buy the skunk2 kit you’ll have a stronger control arm with new upgraded upper control arm bushings along with the camber adjustment you need.
@@JaayPeeBuilt im sure you know the point of a camber kit is so you can increase positive camber after lowering in an attempt to "correct" it. The skunk2 arms cant do that, they are to short. They're not meant for a CB7, they're meant for an EF or DA if I remember corectly. Using them defeats the whole purpose of a camber kit. Skunk2 arms give more negative camber than an OEM arm even after they've been maxed out. The SPC has more positive adjustment available as it's being installed in the correct length arm. You're able to get closer to the OE camber specs with the SPC kits. And for the price of the skunk2 arms you could buy the SPC kit and energy suspension front UCA and LCA poly bushings and still have money left over. Not sure if skunk2 has upped their quality control lately but the life of their ball joints were known to be short lived. Personally I'd rather have the peace of mind of having an UCA thats as close to OEM as possible while still being adjustable.
I got mine from a local brake hose shop.. if you don’t have anything like that near you there’s a couple sites out there that you can order custom DOT approved hoses. Just measure the length of your factory brake hose for length but I would recommend getting it with a 90 degree male bubble flare end and a frame mount female inverted flare on the other end. And you’ll be perfect with no chance of leaks
@@MrRobear I'm pretty sure they're for an EF civic, from what I've read online that's the kit you buy for the CB7. But when maxed out they can only correct so much negative camber as the arm itself is shorter than an OEM CB7 arm. SPC makes a great camber kit specifically for the CB7 thou, both front and rear. I've been running their front kit for years, I've had them on 2 different CB7's and they're still nice and tight. Great products. On the other hand Skunk2 has a pretty bad reputation as far as reliability and longevity of their camber kits, control arms, ect. You couldnt pay me to run their products on my car. SPC > Skunk2
so the DC5 wheels are 17x7 +45 and I was running 30mm spacers up front and 25mm in the rear. I'm now running 17x8 +35 wheels with 25mm spacers all around which is looking way better!!
Prettyboy Prepper unfortunately not.... because with the cb7 it originally comes with an encased rotor or sandwiched rotor. When converting to a 5 lug hub you are actually converting to a rotor over hub design which would not be compatible with the knuckle that comes on cb’s and cd’s. So the 1st gen odyssey offers the same knuckle mounting points so it fits like stock but was designed for a rotor over hub design.
Always nice seeing another CB on YT, nice build brotha!

Hi where can I get those adjustable upper control arm I've been looking for my 92 accord and cant find them what brand are they

20mm or 25mm I can’t remember exactly

Great job man just wandering if you changed the proportioning value and the master cylinder
I got worried, you seem to have forgotten the axel nuts when re-assembling

what kind of upper control arm are you running, does it work as a camber kit??
What did you use to convert the rears? Anyone have a whole parts list. I’ve seen one on cb7 tuner buys it’s gone
Which adjustable camber kit do you have there ?
How are the energy suspension bushings?
Looking good 👍... what size of wheels does it need to clear the caliper they have to be 17 & bigger ?

Skunk2 uca for ef civic.

He sorta sounds like Jessie from The Fast And The Furious.
Love your channel man.. just wondering if you had to run spacers n what size for the calipers… thanks in advance
It depends on the wheel but I would just go with a 5mm spacer if you wanna be safe
Super stoked for you man!. It looks very nice. What are those wheels called?. Sorta what i'm looking into for my 5 lug conversion...
Josiah J Mejia thanks man! They are just the OEM wheels off of the dc5 type r
Good job my friend, about the disks what diametre do they have?
John Pigos I think they are 12.6in.
