@Walt The parts you've listed are they everything that is need to do a full Kick Start conversion ? Does KTM make the Pins and if so can I Please have the part number ? Respectfully Tj {Gascoyne Western Australia}
Can somebody answer my question?? Is there suppose be a collar or something in side the gear to keep it tight around the shaft or is it just a gear a washer and a snap ring because my gear has a good bit of play around the shaft???
Scott Ohler there is a bronze bushing inside the gear to keep it tight to the shaft. Some play up and down is fine, but it should fit perfectly to the shaft in terms of the pin and hole diameters.
+kody neeb Yes sir. Also, I'm not having the pins made anymore as you can now get the pin from KTM (part number 59033018000) but I'm leaving the video up as it has been a good installation aid for some folks, or at least it shows you what you're in for before you start buying parts.

Where did you get all the kickstart parts from?
What did you use to make the pin?
@shaggymike Yes. In fact, you can even use both at the same time for really fast starts in dead-engine start races without going to a 24V setup.
How do u like the ktm 525xc? any ongoing issues with them? I'm looking to get one this weekend..
Will this conversion work on a '08 450 xc as well or no?
AWESOME VIDEO!! Does this work on 450 sx atv?
Where can I get one of does pins?
Is the part number for the pin same pin that shows on the video I order one and the pin I received has a hole in the middle
Yes. The ones we had made were solid, but the ones you get from KTM have a hole in the center.
Walt Schumacher thank you
Walt Schumacher does the gear should have play back and forward on the pin looks like I have a lot of play
can there still a electric start on the bike also?
Yeah you can still run the electric start too champ.
