  • I've always wanted a full size seat for my Honda CT, yet what was offered didn't look that good and required a lot to install. Motolord has a new seat for the Honda CT125 that not only looks sharp, it's a breeze to install. Set back and see for yourself......

      @TeamDNFracing  2 года назад +1

      Yes, I agree it is the best design of any of the aftermarket long seats I've seen. It really was a snap to installl also with the only glitch being the seat latch bolt hitting the bottom of the seat and not allowing it to latch. A simple mold adjustment by Motolord could fix this to allow room for the bolt sticking up..... Feels good and a bit softer than stock. I really like the extra room it has to adjust for any condition while riding trails......

    • @TeamDNFracing
      @TeamDNFracing  2 года назад +1

      There are several different brands of racks on here. On the headlight there is the crash bar and storage rack above it, both are from the Cub House here in Chiang Mai. The down tube rack is also from the Cub House. the rear rack is a Diablo from K-speed and the crash bar that also cradles the engine is from Motolord. I'm not real sure who makes the crash bar on the tail end of my exhaust pipe, but it may also be from Motolord...... That's all of them and they work great, can't complain about any of them......

To much of a mess here from the melting snow. I like that seat but I don't think, at least at this point I would want to give up my space on the back of the bike. We'll see. I re-watched this video again four nights ago when it came up when I was searching for MotolordD accessories. I remember watching it a year ago, but didn't pay attention to the outcome of the seat later in the year. I have a leftover MotolordD rear box sitting on the shelf, and was thinking I might try to outfit my new yellow CT125 with MotorlordD accessories. Unfortunately, the box and the long seat don't work together. I then started watching forward to see when you removed the seat, as I don't remember seeing it on El Diablo. I didn't realize until re-watching all the videos that it looks like Robert mounted the same seat and still has his installed? It works well with his small tail box. I think the long seat may have been discontinued, but I see a new MotolordD shorter seat that has similar upholstery and comes in three patterns: Diamond; Vertical; Horizontal. It slopes up at the back to cover the lift handle on the rear rack, but may not extend to the rear of the lift handle. It may provide clearance for the MotolordD now apparently discontinued rear box, but it is hard to tell from the photos.

    • @TeamDNFracing
      @TeamDNFracing  6 месяцев назад

      The only reason I took mine off Vaughn was because I kept creeping back on the seat when riding and found myself leaning forward on the handlebars. The stock seat doesn't allow you to slide backwards like the motolord seat did. Both the stock and Motolord seat are not real comfortable, but I'm leaving them alone for now. Have plans for the Motolord seat in the future though.....

    • @Vintage_Garage
      @Vintage_Garage 6 месяцев назад

      @@TeamDNFracing I think one of the three new Motolord short seats might work for you, as they slope up in the back to keep you from sliding back. I don't know if you can see them at the Chaing Mai Cub House, but we see them here in the beezdeals catalog. The seats are inexpensive, but shipping to the US exceeds the cost of the seat. If you get a chance to look at them, we'd appreciate your thoughts on them.

    • @TeamDNFracing
      @TeamDNFracing  2 года назад +1

      Thanks for the comment Randy and the bike is unchanged from the 2020 model which is what they started selling here in Thailand before shipping them to the US, Australia and Japan. There is no changes except some color changes with the 2021 model. The bikes will probably stay that way until Honda decides if they are going to upgrade the engine. With most of the small bikes that Honda makes, there are only cosmetic changes from year to year here in Thailand. I bought a Honda Wave back in 2013 when I moved here and there is literally no changes to it from the 2013 model to now in 2022, except the graphics and colors. So far it looks like that on the CT 125 also as the only difference I've seen is graphics and one color change. My bike is the 2020 model and I've not seen anything change from it to the 2022 bikes.... Have fun with it, you'll love the bike and doing the modifying is what makes the bike special to you..... Thanks for the comment.....

      This seat is designed to fit on the CT with the stock rear rack which is larger than the Diablo rack I have, so it should still allow the extended rack with this seat. I bought the seat from Murazaki shop here in Thailand, it is made by MotoLord and Murazaki shop has a Facebook page that show the seat installed on the CT bike from different angles. • @TeamDNFracing
      @TeamDNFracing  Год назад

      If you really want a long seat, then yes, I'd recommend this one. I have removed mine and here is why. I kept moving farther back on the seat enough that I'd rest my tail bone on the rear rack horn and there is only about two inches of padding over that area. After a ride, I'd be extremely sore on my lower back because of that. Since going back to my stock seat, I don't have this issue with the pain in my back. Could just be an old man thing, but I'm staying with the stock seat. However, there are plenty of upholstery shops that can add more seat foam underneath the seat cover and that should make them a lot softer. I'm short and being able to put my feet flat on the ground is more important to me than a little padding on the seat. Hope this helps and you can get the seat from Motolord or on a home shopping network called shopee.co.th

    The only thing I was worried about is 3/4 away back on the seat where they have to raise that plastic up so we can fit over the bit over the bar on the rack if you're butts there look like you would hurt if you hit some serious bumps have you had any problems with it since you've made the video thanks Frank

    • @TeamDNFracing
      @TeamDNFracing  Год назад +1

      Yea Frank, it's not like the good cushy seats of the 70's, but it does give you the opportunity to set back instead of rolling onto the racks bar. What cushion is there, beats the heck out of the bare bar. I personally don't know why they put the bar on the rack in the first place. It's not needed for anything. But, it's there and this seat at least covers it up. You can feel the bar underneath the padding, but it's no worse than a modern day MX bikes seat. I do believe it is softer than an MX bike seat. I'm glad I've got it back there, but even with different suspension on the CT, it isn't a cushy ride in rough terrain so I really don't go that fast on the rough stuff. The thing is, it beats the stock seat all around..... It just cuts out room to carry "stuff" on the rear rack is all..... Hope this helps, I'm keeping the seat as I've gotten used to having the added room back there......
