Thanks James. It’s very helpful to see the comparison, with numbers, so clearly demonstrated. I have noticed lately a few tour pros saying they like to keep the flight low & spinny, but they’re not playing the wet, muddy courses in a Uk winter (or summer!?) with pocket handkerchief greens. I’ll put more practice into slightly higher shots, now!
Low and spinny has it’s place if it’s in your toolbox and environment but as you rightly point out we aren't playing the same game! Thanks for the support Sara
Thanks. It's certainly questionable as to what is too low, I still think it's fair to say that at a certain point high is too high to control carry easily due to slip etc. If it's stopping power we're after without having to get it perfect I lean towards adding a little height for sure.
@@JamesRidyardGolfSorry. Why can't folks read my mind?! 🙂Was referring to the wet conditions, rough, inability to spin, landing on a down-slope, and the typical player's inability to accurately control the carry distance for high trajectory, "floppy" type shots. Again, sorry. 🙂
Terrific video James! I don't understand why this channel hasn't exploded as you're one of the best there is. Joe who? 😜
Working on it! Thanks for the support
nice to see the attack angle and loft of the club
Great video James. Implementing your techniques since we met at Naas GC in Ireland!
Excellent James, I really enjoy and use your content, thanks
Glad you enjoy it!
..What loft on that wedge? Thanks.

What's your central message?
Very nice video. Not so clear anymore that lower trajectory is easier for distance control than higher trajectory, right?

👍
You are using which kind of balls? And why not hitting off the grass?
the last half of the video was off the grass
Watching a whole video before commenting is tough...
Pro V1's
Ah ! Solly !
@@JamesRidyardGolf ah, a serious fault
What is the golf ball you're using here? That surely plays a role in spin and launch for a given shot?
They’re Pro V1’s.
So, SOL comes to mind. 🙂 Just look for the least bad miss?
SOL?
@@JamesRidyardGolf Sorry. Americanism, I guess. S**t out of luck. 🙂
@@mntlblok Half figured that but not sure what you mean!
