I worked at a Chevron gas station in high school way back when, and I always ran the motor for at least 5-10 minutes and THEN checked for oil leaks. Always worked well for me. "nuf said.....
I have the A25A FXS engine and when the dealer put in 4.8 quartz it was overfilled by quite a bit. I had to go back to have them redo it. I believe it takes 4.5 to 4.6 quarts of oil. Would be great if you can confirm
Because your oil pump will have to fill the filtre before it can pump oil through your engine then meaning you will have VERY few seconds with lower oil pressure Extremely unlikely to have any effect seeing as the engine is at idle and its such a short period. Still i like to fill the filtre and have less time with low oil pressure.
3:09 it’s stuck to the pan. You’re probably is too. I’ve owned one for 3 years never removed mine from the oil pan do my oil changes every 6 months regardless of mileage and have not had any leaks
Never pre-fill. Just some clean oil on the gasket. Hand tight only! Always replace drain plug gasket. It's called a "crush washer" for a reason and costs less than a buck. So half assed!
Here we go again...Have you ever removed an oil filter and found that there is no oil in it??? Do you remove and drain the oil filter before every cold start? No! The filter is always full of oil... Pre-fill the filter when installing a new one and we are done.
@@realBlackClouds You like owning a car thats worthless in 5 years? Good for you My prius is barely broken in at that stage hahaa Hmu when you have paid the first 20K battery repair cost, i'll let you know if i'v spent 300 or 600 dollars in normal DIY service at that stage. Maybe you will be on your 2nd car in a few years, soo good for the planet. :) Just buy more trash EV's, and then replace them with NEW trash EV's haaha

I like your red leather interior, I wish we had a choice in Australia as well. Theyre a great car and great fuel economy, better than any Tesla.
One "ehh" should be equal to 30ft/lbs for oil plug

Tell me, does your 0W-16 withstand the heat when it reaches 120-125 F where I live in the summer?!!!
It you scrap going on the ramps with the camry i have a 2023 camry v6 so im wondering what ramps
Always gotta check your dipstick meegs! If you have a traction battery air filter check/change that. Nice vehicle nice video!
To the commenters, It takes 4.8 quarts with filter, 4.4 quarts without oil filter. Read your manual
What ramp is that?
why fill oil in the filter? Very strange - only need to oil the gasket ring.
It’s a preference I wouldn’t do it because of how the filter sits it’s going to spill.
@@armandogomez2677 Aren't the OEM filter rings pre lubed?
@@MisterPhister7 they are but original question was about pre filling the filter. Nothing having to do with the o ring

Noticed your drain plug didn’t have a crush washer. Mine didn’t have one either. Is that normal?

Don't put 4.8 qrts. It only take 4.5 qrts and it's not good idea to overfill hybrid engine

never ever had a metal crush washer fail tbh.
I tend to think those who do are because numbheads overtorque and damage them.

No.. use label ow16
@@adrienchan2097 thanks! But owner’s manual say to use higher viscosity if in severe condition or higher speed. What does it mean?
@@romankim3198 You may use a heavier oil in extremely high temperatures and heavy driving. But it's best to use what the manufacturer requires.
