    I'm changing every 5000 miles so I have to change it myself every other oil change. Thank You for this video.

    I just changed the oil on my 2021 Highlander Hybrid XLE per this video. I ordered and installed the magnetic plug and compression washers recommended here. Thanks much! When I went to install the new plug I found the old compression washer did not come off and was stuck to the car. I had to pry it off with my jackknife.

      @@Paul-fn4dv I'm glad the video helped! Changing the crush washers after each oil change will prevent the issue you had with it being stuck on and avoid future oil leaks out of the bolt if it's tightened too much over time. Good you caught it now.

    Thank you for another valuable and informative video! I appreciate you sharing the info on the Votex drain plug. I decided to get one as well. My mistake was using the washer that came with the Votex. After changing the oil and filter, I drove it around for a bit, then got it back up the ramp to check for leaks. There was some slight oil pooling around the washer so I had to tighten it a little more. The Toyota OEM crush washer probably requires less torque to crush and seal

    I like that funnel and oil plug. Thanks for another great video. Also, I am with you on the oil interval.

    This is one of the best oil change videos that I ever watched. It's very helpful for me because I have the same year toyota highlander hybrid (but mine is XLE). I bought all the tools you recommended except the wrench. I used the Workpro adjustable one instead. I watched your video for a few times before changing the oil myself for the very first time. It works perfectly. Thank you so much!

    Very well done video!!! I have a 2023 HIHy Platinum, and it's already got 26k on it. I DIY the in-between oil changes (5k, 15k, 25k etc) and let the dealer do the every 10k ones, which are warranty required. But I do NOT have a very high trust level in my dealer! They keep putting in 0w-20 oil in mine. I complained last time. We'll see if they actually put in the right oil (0w-16) the next time. I notice about 2-3 more MPG with the 16 vs the 20. Of course, they could put anything that's "brown and slippery" in my engine, and it would be hard for me to prove what's in there.

      I think some Mobil 0w-20 is for SUV & Truck.

    I like the Platinum splash guard better than what I have on my XSE. The magnetic drain plug... that is something that I'll look into.

      Thanks brother, I've heard the same sentiment from gas model owners compared to hybrid owners regarding the differences of the splash guard removal.

    I am cross shopping between Honda pilot, Hyundai Santa Fe and Toyota Highlander. I do all my own repairs and maintenance. Seems like highlander is the easiest one to work on in terms of maintenance.

      @@WilliamHernandez-hl7fw Maintenance on my Hybrid has been straight forward, the gas version uses a two piece canister style oil filter but still easy to change.

    Can you do a video on transmission fluid change?

    • @vietbubbletea
      @vietbubbletea  5 месяцев назад +2

      I plan to but it's going to be a while before I need to do that since changing the transmission fluid is recommended every 60-90K miles and I only have 16K on my Hybrid at the moment. I'd recommend checking out the CarCareNuts channel as he's great at showing this process if you need to do it soon. ruclips.net/video/I1fP-RKsqG0/видео.htmlsi=Uxcj2Oan9M0Wcsv4

    Looks easy enough, thanks for sharing. I’ve noticed a couple of things that I’d like to ask you about. 1- mudfflaps, you got yours fitted at the rear and front as you have side steps fitted? 2- where did you get the gear knob from as it looks better than stock as well as the stickers on the steering wheel where the buttons are? Thanks again

    • @vietbubbletea
      @vietbubbletea  5 месяцев назад

      Thanks! The mud flaps are OEM factory and came with the car before I installed the running boards and they fit great. As for the crystal shift knob, I got it from CarTrimHome, check out my other video review on it.

    I have 2023 Highlander Hybrid XLE but Amazon is saying the oil wrench doesn’t fit. I think is the same gen as yours.

    • @vietbubbletea
      @vietbubbletea  3 месяца назад +1

      Yeah, Amazon also says it won't fit my 2021. You'll notice that they only have a vehicle selection for the gas version which this oil filter wrench won't fit but the Hybrid has a different smaller oil filter which will fit perfectly.
