    Oil extractor pump: 2 comments: The Mercedes shop in The Woodlands, TX used one on my GLC. I did one in-house oil change. I did the rest of the oil changes myself. One test, I used the pump extractor. Then I went to the drain plug. I think it as less than an ounce of oil that was left behind.

    • @TheDurbinCompound

      I have had no issue with this. I provide more thorough records than the dealer does. The notes on a service record at the dealer are vague and sometimes just leave out important information.

    • @TheDurbinCompound
      @TheDurbinCompound  4 года назад +1

      It is actually 2 little bumper pads on the rocker that are maybe 2.5” apart. My jack spans it just fine with the cup. They make the inserts as well that have a large pad on them. I have never invested in them though

      I think the service manual says 25Nm then loosen a 1/4 of a turn and then torque to 30Nm. I think it is to make sure the cap o-ring is properly seated. Who knows, that’s the only thing that makes sense
