This motor oil change an engine flush was different than other videos. We took a trip from Las Vegas to Henderson to show the first time preferred customer experience with Amsoil.

Why does a brand new 2018 car need an engine flush and injector cleaner? Sounds more like a wallet flush to me...

I have, and run it exclusively in all 3 of my cars. I don't doubt the quality of the flush and its benefits, just curious as to why it was needed on a just about new engine.

You don't ever need to flush an engine.
The benefit is not having to change the oil filter sooner because the detergents in Amsoil Signature Series are extremely aggressive in any build-up will basically be circulated and then caught in the Amsoil oil filter which filters at 98.7% efficiency at 20 microns.
Basically the bottle of flush allows an individual to avoid the necessity of changing the oil filter earlier. I've done many Amsoil oil changes now and I find that it's important to change the oil filter much sooner on the first oil change I recommend changing the oil filter at 5000 miles.

Synthetic Oil Protection So basically, you pay money for a oil that has good detergents in it, then pay even more money to nullify those same detergents. Wouldn't it be better of to just not buy oil with such aggressive detergents?
Synthetic Oil Protection this comment is making no sense to me, the flush is used right before an oil change, so how would the flush have anything to do with not having to change the oil as much? The oil Itself is what is allowing the extended drain intervals.
Amsoil makes your engine run smooth as butter, that’s theee best stuff on the market. The first time I switched to Amsoil this past July, the engine ran smooth and I couldn’t even tell where the oil level was at since the oil was to dang clean the first time after the flush.
After sometime say about a few weeks to a month, the oil gets a little darker making it easier to tell where the oil level is. Overall, Amsoil is the best stuff on the market.

Synthetic Oil Protection Daaang, 400,000 square feet, that’s a big land for waste oil just for 1 dumpster from using amsoil? Especially for people that are environmentally conscious, this stuff can also use this stuff for extended oil drain intervals.

Seems like a complete waste of money. A 2018 Toyota shouldn’t need any engine flush at all. Just regular timely oil changes should more than suffice.

Do you know where to get the data sheets to compare Amsoil, Mobil One, Valvoline,Castrol, and Pensoil? I've ran Amsoil, Castrol, and Mobil one in my 98' F150. So far, the Amsoil and Mobil One seem equivalent in my observations.
Amsoil data is becoming more proprietary however there are older compare tests but they are of the old Amsoil Signature series.
Google mobile 1 vs amsoil and you will see a bunch of tests.

Currently have 23k miles on my 2018 Toyota Tacoma been doing oil changes at the Toyota dealer every 5k miles thinking on switching to amsoil when I reach 25k should I use an amsoil flush prior to switching to amsoil or just drain oil and refill with amsoil?
I use signature series 5w30 and i use e30 ethanol. Can I still take the oil interval as directed or change it on severe intervals or sooner. I drive the car pretty hard and make all the fun pops bangs and reving my engine of sorts. It’s for a wrx 2016
That's a great question honestly I don't know how long you can drive it I've never done any tests with that type of fuel I do know it breaks down the oil quicker so I would definitely lean towards the shorter intervals and I would check your oil more often👍

@@Syntheticoilprotection Perhaps lean towards 6-8k intervals. I did notice around 4.5k miles I noticed topping of the oil.

If you add the motor flush, will some stay in the motor and effect the new one that is added?
There might be like 2% of the flush that stays in the motor which is just basically detergent.
That's not enough to harm anything.
Amsoil has a lot of detergents in their motor oil which keep the Pistons and cams clean from carbon deposits.
You'll see on the bottle of motor oil flush that you definitely want to change your oil filter and drain the entire crankcase in 10 to 15 minutes after idling the engine.
I have a 2007.5 Chevy HD 2500 Silverado 4x4 with a 6.6 Duramax. 178 K miles. Unfortunately the oil pan retains 10 oz. Of used oil when you change it. Would the amount of leftover oil/flush affect the performance of an amsoil change? Considering getting a banana pan flat oil pan before next change.

I have a 2000 Toyota Camry 3.0 it calls for 5w 30 what would you suggest for my car in the amsoil 100% synthetic timps I'm in is between 22-105 degrees I travel from Florida to North Carolina different times of the year highway and around town mix all the time

What was the oil filter assembly, and oil plug torqued to?
The oil filter only until it bottoms out and goes flush about 12 to 18 lb of torque.
The oil drain plug is only about 20 lb of torque
Where can you get the 4 quart? I went online and they only sell by the quart.

Sorry- but I think is ridiculous to think that an oil on a brand new vehicle would drive any better just because of an oil. I’m going to try Amsoil but on a 10 year vehicle. Now - that’s a test.

When the new oil goes in isn't there still some of that product in the engine that will thin out the new stuff and may cause engine problems toyota will not take care of it
That little bit of residual is insignificant and it will not hurt anything
You always want to make sure you change the oil filter and let it drain all the way in your fine.
Even if you had an oil cooler and it held an extra Court it would not hurt anything.
Since you didn't actually show the removal of the old o-ring...
I know there's a notch in the oil filter cap that looks like it would be for a pick or screwdriver but Toyota says not to use such tools in the instructions that come with the OEM filter.

Why would you flush a brand new engine?
The oil will drip like that anyways because you just idled the engine for 10 minutes.. That oil is pretty clean too...
Plus if you flush modern VVT/VCT engines you could destroy them because the broken up gunk could clog VVT/VCT oil passageways..
I got 36 years turning wrenches, total waste of time and money! I've always to this date used Mobile 1 for oil and use one of the BEST filters on the market NAPA Platinum oil filters. These guys push that Amsoil cause they make money selling it, I got guys in our shop who sell it and don't even use it themselves......AIN'T THAT SOME SHIT........LOL
The Amsoil engine flush will free up lifters and also clean those ports and make variable valve timing run even better.
It also cleaned the Rings.

Amsoil costs about two to four times less money than any other oil because you change the oil less also you get better gas mileage because the hundred percent synthetic circulates with less parasitic drag on the crankcase also you will have better compression and your engine will last exponentially longer because it will run cooler.

@@Ed-lz4jv I do mine every 5k, why because I worked for Audi, and Mercedes, they both offered free maintenance if you bought a new car and offered oil service at 10k. Engines were getting sledged up and blowing. While the oil may not break down and 10k, it gets twice as dirty than doing it at 5k
Yeah I would recommend changing the oil filter if it's OEM every 5000 miles
