    I always try to:
    1. Constantly d-scan;
    2. Keep an eye on local;
    3. Not sit at 0 and align to a safespot;
    4. Fit a cloak + MWD, (even if that means having less tractor beams or salvagers) to cloak+MWD warp at gates in case Tornados try to blap you and to be able to cloak up if you are not currently targeted by npcs;
    5. Use instadock and instaundock bookmarks;
    6. Use an alt to loot with MTUs etc., as with a MTU on the field it's so much easier to scan you down.
    7. Add known gankers to my contacts. And don't fly expensive ships when they are around.

    You could always locate out in some obscure highsec island to do your missions in peace. There are lvl IV security missions on the highsec islands in Solitude, Aridia, Lonetrek, Placid, Molden Heath, and Devoid regions. Quite rare for those gankers to come out there, especially in large numbers. (until they read this comment that is)
    But ya, over-investing for the activity you are partaking in and for the income you are generating for that activity can be a pretty big concern if you end up with some ship losses. That's why it's always best to try to find the most economical ship option to fulfill your needs.

    There are only three SOE L4 Security agents.
    As the SOE LP store is popular, lots of people run these three agents.
    This also gives gankers a target rich environment in three specific systems.
    Apanake and Lanngisi both being 0.5 systems also plays in their favour.
    There are hundreds of other L4 agents spread all over the rest of highsec in higher security systems. I'd rather go there than deal with the ninja looters, suspect baiters and gankers in SOE L4 systems.

    One tip, you may want to mwd to where you are going to bastion at, so incase local fills up right as you land on the site, you still have your mjd to jump away instead of having to wait the 1:30 timer right after you get into the site. It’s better to keep all the tools in your bag and not need them, then to need and not have.

    This is a forbidden opinion to have in eve: The risk/reward on hi-sec ganking is way out of wack
    It's especially stacked against hi-sec PVE'ers. The gankers risk 50-100m tops across a few alts, and the PvE'ers risk a 1bn - 2bn ship for what's supposed to be the "slow" way to make money in the game.
    I think it speaks to a core weakness of Eve - you either play seriously and treat it like a second job/side hustle, or don't play at all

    I use a Marauder for Blitzing/L4's and left Apanake for this very reason - dealing with CODE clowns is not worth it. Considering you post on forums+youtube, you may want to think about running missions elsewhere/using a cheaper ship, as they will hunt you down just for the "fun" of it. Currently they are very active in Apanake. Increasing tank wont help you much(it might help you survive the first gank if you're paying attention) but they'll just bring more people next time.
    Other than that, as another person mentioned - a DCU is a must, you have no chance against 10+ catalysts without a DCU. The other thing that helps is running as big a burst tank as you can, it will help you push those repairs if the drop does come. The cap stability is non-issue in a Paladin, even my golem with 01:20 cap depletion facetanks blockades etc. with no problem, you rep for so much in bastion that you never run it for more than 1-2 cycles every minute or so anyway.

    The weapons timer from the bastion module is to prevent instant tethering/jumping. Helps reduce exploiting timers and what not. If you were to bastion up right outside a citadel, without the weapons timer you could pretty much re-tether right away, assuming not locked and all that fun stuff. IDK how long you've played the game but basing on how you've phrased some things compared to how they used to be, there used to be a lot of modules that could be..... finessed, let's say, with their timers, area of effect, etc - like the old system wide command links, for example - that the suspect timer, weapons timer, aggression timer, etc are all addressing in various ways.

      If you are doing PvE in a non pvp system (0.5+) then its obvious you don't want to PvP. So why is CODE killing people in kamikaze fleets? They know its not a fair game area, that's why the use cheap fits and even make kills that are more of a loss for them, just to grief people. Saying its anything other than that is absolutely ridiculous.
      Griefing is the act of chronically causing consternation to other members of an online community, or more specifically, intentionally disrupting the immersion of another player in their gameplay using aspects of the game in unintended ways.
      If you are big and bad and want to PvP, go gank people in the area of the game intended for such things. Sadly they are probably scared of fleets that can actually defend themselves.

    the reason why battlecruisers die faster than cruisers has to do with how much of your battleship weapon damage applies to BC vs Cruiser
    so in eve online our weapons are small, medium, large and so on = ideally used vs frigs, cruisers, and battleships
    when you use a M weapon vs a frigate (small), you'll only be capable of doing partial damage to it
    when you use a S weapon vs a frigate (small) it applies most or all its damage, if it hits
    when you use an L weapon vs a frigate (small), a fraction of your damage can apply
    so each weapon size has an ideal target size, below that size a damage reduction comes into play... above that size it just helps apply the full damage
    with me still? okay, so as for the SIZE of ships, consider a destroyer to be about the size (as far as guns are concerned) of 2.5 frigates welded together... this means medium weapons will apply MUCH more of their potential damage to a destroyer, than they do to a frigate
    likewise, think of the battlecruiser as 2.5 cruiser hulls welded together... and likewise, a large weapons system ideal for battleships, will still deal most of its potential damage to a battlecruiser as they are not that much smaller than a battleship as far as guns vs size of ship goes
    SO - cruiser weapons hammer destroyers very hard, destroyers hammer frigates very hard because they have 2.5 times the number of weapons
    AND - large weapons hammer battlecruisers very hard, battlecruisers hammer cruisers very hard because its like they have 2.5 times the number of weapons
    generally battlecruisers are weak to battleships this way, but strong vs cruisers... and destroyers are weak to cruisers this way, but strong vs frigs

      @KaIubka 3 года назад

      Right, I was gonna point out that he absolutely obliterated the cruisers which were far away with Scorch, 2 shotting them because he got penetrating hits, whereas he pretty much only got grazing hits on the cruisers orbiting him at 5km. • @grahamelliott9506
      @grahamelliott9506 3 года назад +2

      @@KaIubka oh yeah a web is basically a damage module in your mid slots that only works at ~10km or so
      in pvp , blaster boats often try to fit 'dualweb' or two webs / web + grapple - a blaster thorax with ions and a dualweb +scram can smack down a lot of frigates it otherwise can't touch with only one web or no web
      a web even helps your missiles apply damage quite a bit if you fly missile boats
      i'd say for laser boats a single web is fine, but due to laser flexibility its not as common to see more webs than one as with blaster boats

    and it passed one asteroid belt in a high-security space in a 0.5 system would be enough to keep you busy for 6 hours
    a solar system with 12 belts won't even last one mining barge and an orca 3 hours
    Moon mining in high-security space is no longer valuable either they got rid of all the good asteroids from it but I kind of expected that
    there is no low effort tasks left they're all tedious high risk very low pay tasks
    the lower the risk the more time it requires other words the more tedious it is
    doing Relic sites with a frigate pretty high pay but it takes you hours to get anything that's if you do it in 00 or a wormhole the only risk 1 million the potentially make 300 million and 6 hours of exploring but it's possible you can search that long and only get 30

      the issue with a Leshak is... it needs to spool up to that kind of damage. And you can't make it a sniper fit. L4 missions don't really need more dps than maybe 1100+ if you are face-tanking and 800+ if you are long range (also consider how much volley damage you are doing and if maybe it is better to go for a higher alpha to kill most enemies in much fewer cycles).
