I was concerned that 191hp wouldn't be quite enough in a 3,600# truck but MotorTrend got to 60 in 7.6 in this thing (the turbo was only .6 seconds quicker), and that's honestly pretty impressive for a base model that's $20k. I like how linear it accelerated too like you could see power building up to its max at highway speed. Would be a bit cooler if it could put down max torque from a stop and chirp the tires, but this is ok. Only thing that bugs me about the Maverick is that stupid rotary dial shifter, I HATE that shit.
@@duster497 I accidentally have thrown in into park going about 2mph all by pulling into parking lots and trying to turn down the volume and my hand goes there like the Mercedes volume knobs

I’ve beat the speed limiter before with putting the cruise on and using the cruise stock to accelerate. Not saying this is a good idea or will work. I did in on a Chrysler a few year back
Funny you mention cruise since that's about the only option that like 95% of cars have that you can't get on the base model Maverick. Of ALL things, no cruise?
Really good.. there’s a sweet spot around 65-70 cruising, it hits a whole different gear ⚙️ you can be using only electric behind a hood draft of a semi then boom punch it and you’re at 90-100 within 2 seconds
I think it's a psychological tactic manufacturers use to subconsciously make buyers think the vehicle is faster than it is. My 2014 Mitsubishi Mirage had a 140mph speedometer, which was hilarious considering the car had a 74hp 3cyl. It's actual top speed was like 108mph without a limiter.
Has nothing to do with capabilities, rather convenience and usability. Take a look at where the numbers are for the most commonly traveled speed, 55 to 80mph, right at the top of the speedo, this is done you don't have to take your eyes off the road as much to see the speed you are traveling at, especially on the highway. That's why most cars these days that aren't designed to go much over 100 still use a 140mph speedometer.
At least this one is built to last compared to the shitboxes Nissan uses (I thought Ford's CVTs were just as shit as Nissan but I actually had to do my research and they're an entirely different design).
And you will probably lose traction. ABS, traction control, and ESC are there for a very good reason. Disabling it won’t make your car go any faster off the line. Burnouts at takeoff will actually make it slower even though people think that it’s faster.

Eco boost is low 6s this is about 8 seconds which isnt bad but I wouldnt call this quick or fast but good power to get up to speed on the on ramp

Just curious as to why the speedo goes to 140, when the vehicle is speed limited to 110. Seems like having the speedo go to 120 would be sufficient.
