ktv kadir They most likely will not remove it, the leak is fake. So if you already wanted to buy the 11, I would recommend you do that. On the other hand, the 12 will be a pretty significant upgrade, regardless of wether the notch is still there or not, so yeah, do what you feel is best I guess.

I will buy an iPhone that has:
- No Notch
- USB type C
- A Fully Customizable Home Screen
I've been an Android user for over 8 years and if I would move to IOS I'd loose all my Google Play purchases, that's as well another of my concerns.

I have the 11 Pro, I pre-ordered the 12 pro. I don't care if it has a notch or not, I'm blind, it doesn't matter. I'm looking forward to all the new features, better performance, I think it's gonna be worth it. I love the program.
The notch needs to go and please please please add a forth camera or design the three cameras like the iPhone XS Max. I really hate that square look which is why I never upgraded to the 11 Pro Max.

Then you'll never buy. Even one + removed the no notch in their one plus 8 pro unlike the 7 pro. It's a compromise for more important things. Search what iPhone notch actually replaced . It's a huge technology with 3d scanner and cameras like a dvd player size and Apple miniaturized it into a notch.
it will not be lighter because they want to increase the size of the battery which will give us better battery life so no lightweight is a compromise we will have to welcome with open arms.

Notch isn’t being removed... though it is getting reducing (not by that much) 2021/2022 iPhones however are likely to feature no notch as there is progress towards an in display tof camera as a few of the engineering teams have been assigned to work on it :)

After last trying the iPhone 6 and hating the locked-down approach of ios...I gladly went back to Android... Great stuff. But after recognizing the iPad is King when it comes to tablets....and finally succumbing & getting one, it's also apparent that iOS is a bit more 'lenient' nowadays with File Browsers, Widgets etc. After having numerous slickly designed, full screen Android phones over the last few years, the ones thing that's stopping me trying a new iPhone..... Is that god-awful notch!! If they are least offered a variant that had a secure in-screen finger print reader instead, I'm sure they'd get a lot more Android users giving them another try.
yeh whn it comes to tablets iOS works well, trouble is there are just too many features i need on android so could never leave it!
They should just take away the notch, put in the display finger print sensor, no time of light on the front but still on the back and voila boom no notch and still a really good unlock. I prefer the fingerprint plus u could still use the TOF on the back for a rear unlock would be cool.

They cant remove the notch. It might be much thinner but they never compromise the hardware they devoleped all these years, unless they rock confident about the newer technology

I have the first iPhone X and I’m not upgrading until the notch is gone. Freaking ridiculous that it takes up so much real estate. Come on iPhone. Start showing some innovation or at the very least catch up - e.g., camera telescopic lens, screen refresh rate, battery life, USB-C, capability of charging other devices from the back of the phone, etc...
