Kamurocho and Sotenbori look beautiful on Dragon Engine, however I can't help but notice the inconsistencies it creates due to the engine switch. Sotenbori is missing Ashitaba Park and Hoganji Yokocho, even though they still exist in Yakuza 5. Then there are also little things like how the cars look too modern, or the trees in Nakamichi St are gone even though they're still there in Yakuza 3.
I know how you feel but to be honest it's pretty much a "faithful" recreation from the original map from Y2. My only gripe with K2 is that Shofukucho st is not a straight street. In regards on Kamurocho I can deal with the trees. What I can't deal is the removal of north pink street :c
I love yakuza kawami 2 the most the first one was awesome it had great graphics good fighting styles and everything but kawami 2 is just better and I wouldn't have loved this series if it wasn't for shenmue can you compare shenmue 3 with kawami 2 somedayz?
Hello, unfortunately Judgement still didn't come out on steam (wich is the platform I play with). If some day it gets a release, I'll probably do something.
Being a hardcore Yakuza fan since 2006....the Dragon engine really killed the series for me. Especially the fighting mechanics and aliasing. Yakuza 6 i could give it an approval, just because it concludes the story (though there was so much issues, like aliasing and screen tearing)...but Kiwami 2 and the Judgement games, I personally didn't enjoy them. For anybody wondering, this is how you should play the games. Yakuza 1 PS2 or PS3 HD Remaster Yakuza 2 PS2 or PS3 HD Remaster Yakuza 3 PS4 Remaster Yakuza 4 PS4 Remaster Yakuza 5 PS4 Remaster Yakuza 6 PS4 Yakuza 0 PS4 (Since is the best playing and best looking game...and it makes more sense for the next games I will list) Than after all those, you play; Kiwami 1 Kiwami 2 So you treat Kiwami just as a bonus to see a new way of Yakuza 1 & 2. Anyways this is the best and most enjoyable way to play the series and appreciate it more! Happy gaming!
I agree with you in the playing orden. Although some people might be put off by the jankiness and the dub of Y1. Yes the ps3 remaster fixes a lot of issues but it's japanese only. I don't mind because I've already played Y1 and Kiwami. So I don't mind not understanding the subtitles. But starting from the beggining you see and experience the evolution in gameplay through out the franchise. I don't really mind people starting with 0. It's a good start for story sake only although you will miss a lot of references. I believe that if someone considered themself a Yakuza fan. At least you have to try to play the original ones. They are not that bad, specially the ps3 remaster.
I can see where you're coming from, but I disagree. I think starting from the original Yakuza 1 can be more off putting for new players since the controls are stiff, there's lack of accessibility, and that english dub.. The PS3 remaster won't cut it because it's in japanese with no subs. Most Yakuza fans want new players to be hooked, and no better way to do it than playing Yakuza 0. Yeah, it's gonna be weird going to Kiwami 1, jumping to next gen graphics and weird ragdolls with Kiwami 2, and then going back to PS3 graphics and unbalanced combat with 3, but I think players can let it slide because they've already fallen in love with the series. But Idk. I guess it's good to consider this alternative still. New players should decided themselves if they wanna go with 0 first or with your option.

@@EdgePwner wait, you're right, it is gone! I think it's because in Yakuza 6 Little Asia got expanded and it didn't leave room for Pink St North :(
@@seka1nix And it's an empty space in K2 :/
dragon engine is more beautiful but it's too much light and bloom, old engine in kiwami 1 gives me some oldschool anime vibe
Since exist Dragon Engine, I cant back old games, there looks very old animations, great video

Good fighting styles...always get attacked by rush-style enemies and can't guard sword/blade/katana and flying-sword user enemies without weapon...
Beautiful ❤️
Thanks!! :D
yakuza 6 est encore plus beau
I agree. K2 could've been something else without the green filter
Hello, it's possible to have the same comparison between yakuza 6 and Judgment please ?
Hello, unfortunately Judgement still didn't come out on steam (wich is the platform I play with). If some day it gets a release, I'll probably do something.
I feel like Dragon engine is just too good. Can't recognise Kamurocho. Maybe reduce the Lightning.

Yakuza 1 PS2 or PS3 HD Remaster
Yakuza 2 PS2 or PS3 HD Remaster
Yakuza 3 PS4 Remaster
Yakuza 4 PS4 Remaster
Yakuza 5 PS4 Remaster
Yakuza 6 PS4
Yakuza 0 PS4 (Since is the best playing and best looking game...and it makes more sense for the next games I will list)

Kiwami 1
Kiwami 2

I disagree with pretty much everything.
I really liked the fightingi n Kiwami 2. It wasn't perfect, but it looked and felt smooth as hell
@@seka1nix Or maybe play 0, Kiwami 1 then the Original Y2 then the remasters.
