It's pathetic what the Glazer's have done to United. They should never have been allowed to own them to begin with. It's a black eye on the FA, The Premier League & The UK Government to allow the World's greatest sporting entity be acquired like it was. If United were just left alone to run naturally, the past 7 years would have been easily avoided & things would be far better than they are now with football & stadium operations. As long as the Glazers are in charge, Manchester United is operating at a handicap. Not their full potential. PL fears to see United at their best because they don't need a dime of anyone's money! Why do UEFA allow someone to own more than one European club? It leaves European leagues open to corruption.

      It's not right.
There should be rules stopping owners buying different clubs even if they can never compete against each other.
If say the Liverpool owners bought a club in Portugal which was effectively used as a "feeder" club so Liverpool could send out youngsters and buy the team's talent at knock down prices , it would lessen the integrity of the Portuguese league as one club would be acting in the interests of LFC rather than striving to compete in its own league.
Even if RB Leipzig and RB Salzburg are in reality completely separate clubs, there is still a perception that something untoward is going on which in itself devalues the competition.

Going out of their way to take customers from the opposition by pushing their prices down, so much so that they would run a net loss in that branch until the smaller shop has to shut down and then Starbucks is the only coffee around.
It means good coffee is harder to come by. It's not a perfect analogy here but I disagree that strong competition inherently "makes you better".

Very interesting video. Souness doesn't know what he's talking about as usual but other than that you can clearly see from this interview/conversation the unfair advantage that City and Chelsea have had. United earned their riches, they deserved to be on their perch. They were one of the best and therefore one of the most popular clubs. Out of nowhere they get 2 rivals who have no limit whatsoever. Outside money shouldn't be allowed in football IMO. Match day revenue, player sales and sponsors should be it and it should be investigated thoroughly each season.
And no, I'm not even a United supporter. I just miss real football where clubs were more than just a brand.

Probably because a lot of people buy into the personality of english players in their over assessment of them. Not that i think rooney is a bad guy, from what I've seen. But he received plenty of abuse from the media and rival fans even as a teenager. Imagine that. His mistake, if you can call it that, was that he didn't conform to keeping quiet nor did he open himself out more until much later in his career. Also, England had a decent amount of club legends in chelsea, liverpool and utd during his time, so it may take some historical distancing until he is fully appreciated.
