What I saw was arrogance. From the Bayern fans and the squad and their top management. Talking too much about an All German final at the Wembley before the match, as if Real Madrid was an easy walkthrough...Tuchel taking off all his attackers and bringing on a defender... That was no show of respect. And they deserved to lose, and they know it. They just bring that non-issue of last minute offside call to reduce accountability that Bayern was just terrible last night.
By the way, in the same manner, I don't like how people talk about a potential Super Cup final between Real Madrid and Leverkusen since both teams turn it around a lot at the end of the game. That's disrespectful to Dortmund. And Atalanta. Bellingham said it right, whoever came this deep into the tournament deserved to do so..one can't cherry pick their opponents.

When you make such defensive ‘close shop’ substitutions like that, it’s like waving a red flag at a bull; Real Madrid & Ancelotti would have been pumped up by that, like ‘okay then, we’ll show you’. Madness from Tuchel.

    • @binarytree4762
      @binarytree4762 10 дней назад +8

Not really. Madrid were dominating even before the subs. With a 1-0 lead with about 5 minutes to go, I don’t blame him for choosing such defensive subs to close shop. The idea being if you concede now, then you have to deal with this pressure for another 30 minutes and most likely concede. So it’s not madness he tried everything to wrap up the game within 90 mins. And everyone seems to forget it’s a neuer blunder making Tuchel subs looks ridiculous. If neuer catches that ball then Bayern most likely keeps the 1-0 lead and goes through. Then there won’t be any conversation about all this nonsense about subs. I don’t understand why people are blaming Tuchel for players fumbling. If neuer did his job then Tuchel plan would have worked out

@@binarytree4762I actually think that Manuel Neuer was outstanding! Bar the mistake he made, he would have been man of the match. He was the reason Bayern was still in the game. Had him not being on his A game, they would have conceded much more goals, and much earlier, putting any Bayern hope to bed. So, to come here and solely blame the player that actually saved them a few times, because of a single mistake he made is not fair.
The coach needs to take blame as well, those last subs was a mistake. I'm not even a Bayern fan (I'm Barça), but when I saw those subs, I screamed at the coach (from the tv), what are you doing!? This is Real Madrid!

This offside thing is getting blown way out of proportion. For the sake of argument, let's say it was onside.
The ref blows the whistle before Muller touched the ball, let alone before De Ligt takes the shot. Matter of fact, no Bayern player even touched the ball when the ref blew the whistle, so I don't get how you could argue Bayern were having a dangerous attack. It's only after the whistle blows that Muller heads that ball, and by that point, the Madrid players stopped engaging in play. We cannot be sure it would have even been a goal if the whistle hadn't blown, and, by implication, if the Madrid players, especially the keeper, had been fully attentive and responsive to the play.
If I were to be perfectly honest, De Ligt shouldn't even be taking the shot. We all remember when Van Persie kicked the ball after the ref blew the whistle and got sent off for it. De Ligt didn't get booked for doing the exact same thing, and him doing that (which is against the rules) is the only reason this is even a debate.

Real Madrid also had a goal disallowed, but they did not shutdown and later complain how they were cheated. Instead Madrid threw everything plus the kitchen sink at Bayern, hoping the outcome will be in Madrid's favour. Bayern should have thrown everything plus kitchen sink and toilet sink at Real Madrid, coach and all. Mistakes and errors, regrettably, are currently part of football and all other sports. Only a dishonest person will deny this. The officials and facilities like VAR plus goal line technology are not there to create a perfect flow of events, but to reduce the occurence of errors as much as is possible, this, for the simple reason that a perfect flow is impossible given the officials themselves are humans prone to error. Even footballers themselves often try to influence officials by exerting pressure on officials to intentionally force them to error in their team's favor because they know being error prone is part of humans by default, and teams endeavor to incorporate it's utilization as a tactic for their desired outcome. The officials ofcourse try to avoid errors, but to expect the officials to succeed 100% all the time, especially in high pressure ties is unrealistic. Maybe, recent technologies such as A.I. and robots will, in the near future, bring that perfection we all seek.
Hence complaining after the final whistle is mostly a fools errand. Real Madrid understand this and so will fight till that last second, Bayern does not yet understand this, atleast they didn't show they did in this game.

Bayern Munich’s loss to Real Madrid yesterday was absolutely down to Thomas Tuchel making the wrong subs at the wrong time. That moment sums up their season in a nutshell. I understand that at the time he made those subs, Bayern Munich were up by a goal and they thought that the game had been won and they got to the final he wanted to preserve the lead by making a defensive change. While Real Madrid made a super substitution in Joselu who proved to be the hero of the game, taking out 3 of their best attacking players in Harry Kane their top scorer Jamal Musiala and Leroy Sane proved to backfire for them and no coincidence that a game that was in their hands they still managed to lose. Even if they stayed on the pitch, they never even had a chance of beating Real Madrid despite being up by a goal. Bayern Munich’s disappointing season is reaching its conclusion because they won’t any trophies, didn’t win the Bundesliga for the first time in years and they got knocked out of the Champions League by Real Madrid in yet another heartbreaking fashion for them. There are big changes that need to be made this summer because while their season isn’t as bad as you think it was because they got to the Champions League semifinals, a club of Bayern Munich’s caliber who consistently win trophies, won’t win anything and despite it being their first trophy less season since 2012, it’s simply unacceptable with how mediocre they’ve been they’ve lost games that they wouldn’t have lost, they’ve been unconvincing even when they’ve won and also Tuchel is responsible for some of this because his tactics are questionable and I don’t understand his substitutions.
I personally feel bad for Harry Kane as he can’t catch a break when it comes to trophies, I’m actually happy that Bayern Munich went trophy less it served them right for sacking Julian Nagelsmann last season and they were lucky not to go trophy less last season. Now with Tuchel leaving at the end of the season, nobody even knows Bayern Munich’s next manager. This is a club who’s supposed to be well ran and the owners of the club should know what they’re doing, but nobody wants to coach Bayern Munich and when someone like Ralf Rangnick is turning them down, you know the core issues that they have. In order to regain dominance and compete for trophies again, Bayern Munich need to hit the reset button and rejuvenate some of that squad and certain players need to go because you can’t have a new manager and be poor for a 3rd season in a row. You can’t go trophy less in 2 straight seasons meaning that it’s a summer of massive changes for Bayern Munich.

And De Ligt could score only because Real Madrid stopped playing after the whistle. Like He put the ball in essentially an open goal. And even if ge could score it, it'd have gone to extra time and Real would've scored 5 more against a Bayern that had Muller and Eric upfront. All these cause these 'pundits' can't see Real doing good cause they're doing everything they discarded and getting proved wrong.

Jesus both hands to the neck and face and not a foul? Rewatch that disallowed goal, you couldn’t have meant that….
It’s the third time Real has gone through due to poor refereeing, Cristiano was 3 yards offside against Bayern and the goal was given, it was before VAR but still you’d expect a trained eye would’ve spotted a 4 yard offside.

      1. Was 100% a foul on Kimmich, he rolled around like a baby, but he did so to draw attention to the play. Professional acting.
      2. The time Added was actually correct. when the ref said there were 2 minutes left there was and should have been. The offside call occured within the 2 minute window. This should have been the last action of the match.
      3. Madrid players obviously stopped playing. Militao was between the goals and the player and looked like he was avoiding the ball when is was kicked. Lunin didn't even bother diving.
      4. Even if the play had been allowed to go on, its more likely Bayern would not have scored than the likelihood that they score.
      5. If they score on that play and extra time is played, Bayern are impotent in attack. Probably Tuchel's fault, but maybe they were all tired and needed to be subbed.
      6. The likelihood of keeping Madrid scoreless in the next 30 is very low.

So it makes zero sense to sub him off tbh

It was a clear mistake by the referees and that happening in a half finale where 2 of the best teams in the world plays against each other is just crazy. Honestly, that was an amateur mistake by the referees as always, the referee need wait how it plays out and then whistle.

    1) if Bayern scored on the 14th min of extra time while the game should have ended after 11 (we all clearly saw ref add 2 extra mins on the initial 9 after which no time was wasted) how fair would have been on Real Madrid players and fans. Should Madrid played chase the ref?
    2) if Madrid players didn’t stop playing after the whistle went off, would Muller be able to get the ball with his head? Would De Light get the ball, would Lunin stay still and watch a weak shot go right by him?
    3) if De Light stopped playing after the whistle like every player must do, would we even have this conversation
    4) if it was offside or not it was the wrong decision by linesman and ref to react quickly but that doesn’t change the fact that the whistle went off and everything. After the whistle is irrelevant
    5) if Rudiger fouled De Lught inside the box after the whistle went off, would Bayern demand a penalty like they demanded a goal?
