- Hi
This is my cover for this tune of the Shadows, on a backing track realised by our virtual band: Christian Pradalié: bass, René Steine: Rythm guitar, Daniel Corbont: Drums.
The sound of the lead is very complex to reproduce, because of this stereo reverb (reverbs ?) and other mysteries. So it's not perfect but it's the best I can at the moment. obtain. May be in another millenium...
Cheers - Christian
Best on RUclips by a clear country mile.
Amazing ...
Stunning. Absolutely stunning.
Many thanks !
Super! Congratulations!
W O W ! Awesome Sound, almost the same as that, of the Legendary SHADOWS !! ❤❤❤ Roland Singh, Canada 🇨🇦
Hi Roland
Thank you ! You are very kind..
I love it 😁
Thanks
You really shouldn't be so critical of your ability to perfectly reproduce the sound. What you and the virtual Shadows have achieved on this recording is as near to perfection as anyone has a right to expect. To my mind, it is Perfect - you are all to be congratulated - Bravo! :-)
Wonderful !! Really love it! The true western sound !
Excellent! If you listen to the Shads original through headphones Hank's guitar is double tracked and in the quieter channel an effect like chorus is added. 🙂
Hi Christian another very authentic sound from you and the virtual band.
Listening through headphones and some great stereo separation with the instruments going on.
Great upload... Cheers Phil
Hi Christian , Greeting from Hertfordshire, listening to that I have no notes for you, your very confident, like to hear your rendition of Flingel Bunt. thank you

Wonderful. Excellent playing.
Great presence to the guitar, especially on the low notes. Hank would cheer
Thank you Joe !
Le son est très légèrement différent de celui des spadois, mais la pêche est là. et je me demande si ce n'est pas meilleur. Je suis fan! André

Très bien réussi, bravo !
Merci beaucoup.
Christian, i love how you play the guitar. And the sound is beathyfull. And you get that from a Fender reverb.
Thank you Umberto.
I am not using Fender reverb... I am using my VST Package system. More info here: vintage-sounds.freeforums.net/
Good cover.
Thank you Paul !
Hi Christian, great cover version
Mick
Awesome
Thanks !
Sounds pretty good to me Christian.
A lot better than the HBM sound I can muster !
Well done,
Dave
hi again, for this use the middle pup (p3) with the tone pot @ 7 &, pick behind the neck pup. for geronimo, pick in front of the middle pup. neck pup (p5) is used for foot tapper with tone pot @ 7, & pick (muted) just behind the middle pup & (non-muted) just in front of the middle pup.
i don't hear any delay in foot tapper, dance on, geronimo but the reverb . try this. type/plate time/1.5 sec high cut/4.00k effect level/90.
Absolutely brilliant. You have no idea how happy this is making me.
Excellent.
Very well played bud. I'm just learning it and I'm getting there, but not as good as you yet.
Hi this is the best cover of Spotnicks and Shadows on youtube , you play like Bo Vinberg and Hank Marvin so perfect bravo.
I want to show you some pictures of Spotnicks rigg late 60s
tell me how if you are interested.
Tommy in Sweden
Great job !!
Thanks !
I love it
Thanks
Hi Christian, have you ever consider teaching. The songs you play with Tab.
Hi Umberto. No I never considered that. What I did a long time ago was tutorial videos for some Shadows (and Spotnicks) tunes. They are on DailyMotion:
www.dailymotion.com/springer16900--
Unfortunately, all my comments are in French. But at least you can have a look at positions. Note however that these videos are old and therefore there are probably mistakes. So to be used with care.
Concerning the sound, have a look at my forum here: vintage-sounds.freeforums.net
I distribute the system I am using myself. And unlike all other solutions, it is free....
Cheers - Christian
Gaaf in het dutch !!!! Great!!!!
Brill
Thanks !
very nice done ! I would love toplay along with my keyboard to make the song even more brite .
Hi Martin
As explained on a number videos, I am using software VST plugin effects. All this running under VSTHost software in a portable PC (behind me on video). Concernin echo, I am using the well known etap2 from our echotapper friends (easy to find them with Google). But for Dance On the main effects come from 2 separate (one at left and another at right) reverb plugins.
Cheers - Christian
Very good! Much better sound than the EFTP. The APACHE module is great too on stage or studio.
Excellent bravo j'adore
Merci beaucoup.
Christian pour le V.S.T
Bonsoir de rien ces sincere
Wie das Original...super
Many thanks Kurt
Could that be better than the origional?, great video a joy to watch.
pour apache chris super!
Wouldnt it have been better to play it in the middle pickup position.....and egualise it by cutting the bass? Whats your opinion, Christian? Thanks.....
Bello gran sonido.
Thank you !
Hi Christian, I have just come come across your RUclips site and I am amazed at the near to perfect Shadows sound you are able to produce. I know you mentioned some to back that this is produces on a computer program. Are you able to let us know what you are using or do you sell the program?
Hi Gary
I have created a (free) forum where I explain my method and where I also distribute (it's free also) my system. Link is here:
vintage-sounds.freeforums.net/
There are more than 400 members, and more than 320 people already using it. So you just need to register, then read a few documents explaining the system and what equipment is required, and if you feel comfrtable with all that, issue a package request. I will then give you access to the download section. To summarize, you just need a PC (Windows) that has fair performances and a USB audio interface (cost in the range 50 to 150€uros depending on model and quality). Package includes more than ready to use 300 patches, many for The Shadows but also for Spotnicks, Ventures and various other artists.
Hope to see you on the forum then
Cheers - Christian
HiChristian
Great sound what echo unit do you use
Thanks
Martin
Good
Thanks
Congratulations! your guitars's sound is almost the same as the Marvin's guitar... how did you get it?
Hi
Thanks !
If you want more information concerning sound, I have a web site where you will find all information, and also a package (free) that you can download to obtain same results. It is here:

Cordialement - Christian
@@springer16900 De toutes façons je suis fan
Bravo les amis
André
Merci André !🙂
I think you are a bit out to the backing track, plus you sound miles away
And I think you are a bit off your head mate , you haven't got a clue what you are talking about. You just make yourself look so stupid
very well played. Chapeau
Thank you Carla.
