my problem with turn evil is that it make s them FLEE, i dont wanna be the palaidn that makes other undead bring MORE mobs to my party, that may cause us to wipe
You forgot the auto attack heals a group talent in the class tree, and the change to wings version of might. No causes aoe explosion per holy power spent while wings is active, and how the 20% crit was baked into it passively
I like these changes and some of them are hype. Removing divine shield off of forbearance is actually nutty but I wish they peppered in more offensive abilities like guardian of ancient kings
Prot pally is an aboslute joke right now. I hope all this stuff helps but honestly they straight up need to take 30-50% less damage. Leather tanks have as much armor as prot pally. I heard wearing plate makes a difference but getting obliterated by a warrior or warlock in 2-4 seconds makes me think otherwise. Its absolutely insane the difference from last season of DF until now. Last season as prot pally i could take on 2-3 dps and hang on for a while, maybe keep a node by my self. Now a single one of the handful of overtuned specs show up and crush me under their boots. Its not fun whatsoever, prot pally is NOT a tank. It is a wasted spot on a BG, so tired of it. I love prot pally, I will not change because of it, but its so abysmal right now. A plate wearing shield bearing healing tank feels like a MAGE.
Cool changes but after seeing the Tyr’s Guard Kul Tiran paladin and all the models for them in Hallowfall, I’m almost reluctant to plau pally until Kul Tirans get access to them
Eye of Tyr needs to be every 30 seconds so you can use Hammer of Light. Ret gets to use HoL every 30 seconds because it triggers after Wake of Ashes, but poor old Prot has to wait 60 seconds because Eye of Tyr is the trigger.
I mean really the utility aspect seems like a decent change although a nerf to the little bit of skill expression Paladins had, but my major problem actually comes from other classes getting turbo buffed like Outlaw when they are already destroying in PVE, Paladin is also losing the 4% to strength and Mastery they were getting from Sigil and I think this is going to equal out to a nerf to Paladin overall when they are already middle of the pack.
Honestly, the changes are garbage for paladin's, especially since we will be losing Seal of Alacrity and Seal of Order. These new talents are honestly hot garbage, talk about putting Lipstick on a Pig and trying to convince paladin mains that its an improvement. At least it might benefit paladins interested in PvP.
Idk ret need horse freedom but we loss real freedom, 25 sec cd freedom 1 time or 2 charges horse freedom 36 sec cd. Default freedom duration 8 sec, 2horse freedom 6 sec idk, for me its just shit changes, for me ret need 1 pvp tallent from prot, when slows dont working for horse.
Lmao this is the first expansion I come back after legion and i can no longer play, Blizz keeps rejecting my card, it was hella difficult to pay the first time. Unbelivable
If they didn't remove seal of order though, and the other seal that gives you haste. So on your builders you lost 14% haste. The most important stat rn
As a ret main self healing is hot trash, 2-400k per flash of light isn't even worth doing in PVP and doesn't help out much in pve to help healers. WoG isn't any better. 0 consitentsy with it.

I think blizzard is playing it safe until mythic + and heroic is fully unlocked along with everyone having their full tier sets. Fire will pop off. I have mained fire for 10 years now and they always end up around the top every single expansion

can't say about pvp but im constantly either 1st or 2nd with being Very close behind whose in 1st, on the dps meter in mythics. its been this way through all my runs. obviously give or take player's skill with their class. That being said the main cause of my dps being dawnlight is about to be nerfed 15% in the Anniversary patch so im a little worried thats about to change.
I hate when people tell me as a ret pally in pvp I should be a utility not being able to do any real damage. Not being able to heal at all and wear playe and not be able to take damage like a cloth class such as lock. Ret pally is a dps class. Not some 4th thing that isnt ment to do damage. Ret pally supposed to have little to do moves and do high damage. Atleast thats hownit use to be when i played as a kid. The good days
Ret should be using that utlility in PvP, they make such a major difference when they do in fights. No one takes damage like a lock, outside of healers and tanks, they are one of the least mobile classes with actual casts and need to sit still and let people beat on them. As for not dealing any real damage or healing, there needs to be a limit there. You can't have S tier utility, S/A+ defensive spells, a ton of range as a "melee class. and really good healing/damage all at the same time. I do think they really mess up the balance at times but more often than not Ret is in a great spot.
They will make pally good in beta and then nerf it into obscurity right before it goes live. It is literally against the rules in Blizzardland to make holy paladins actually good and keep them good.

Rogue has always been good, not a single xpac was rogue bad, in the history of the whole game. Paladin has an ebb and flow of being dog crap to being demi god. Right now its straight up the worst class in pvp and prot is actually the worst i have ever seen it. Everything can tbag prot pallies right now.
I doubt its going to fix prot. Their word of glory is so bad right now that 20% increased healing isn't going to fix it. All I see from blizzard is that they put lipstick on a pig and they tell us everything will be better.. except its still a pig with terrible sustain.
If your class had 5 nodes on its tree that gave you a chance to proc 2,000 damage you'd be pissed too. The changes are simply QoL and alot of the changed people see as nerfs.

Its not a buff its a rework they removed like 20 talents that were never picked and moved 10ish talents that every one picked to be easier to get to while adding new ones that are actualy good choices for the content you are doing . Prot pally btw DOES need buffs it is below F tier compared to the other tanks with almost zero self healing atm, literally you need to CRIT 2 word of glorys in a row to even give you self 20% your hp atm its really bad and the damage is also bad out side of aoe I dont think I have ever seen it this bad in single target damage in a long time that you can just lose aggro to the meta classes bursting a boss on top of you being the squishiest tank with the worst midigation of all the tanks as well.
Paladins always have been one of the favorite’s. When I played BC they complained that paladin should not be #1 on dps yet, every season I’m in the top 3 in raids and always top 5 in mythic, even this season, I’m still pushing top 2 dps on 8/8 heroic. Folks should learn to play ret correctly we dominate either way.

I don’t like retri. The playstyle is so simple now, when I playing it I feel like autopilot. So many procs that doing things for you literally. And class fantasy should be more like priest with sword, but all we have is juggernaut with heavy attacks and skills with more gold than in Zuldazar.
