all pvp gear increases in bgs and arenas so the idea is to buy your arena gear and convert them to tier. That way the ilevel increases in pvp but you still get the set bonus
It’s free gear you can get without leaving town while in queue. It does seem overly complicated, but more options to gear without having to PvE is a win for me.
Its not that bad once you start doing it, it all falls into place. I agree it was very overwhelming for the first day, i hadn't played in some time either 😁 now im about 25% BIS geared and slowly grinding the rest out.
I personally don't like gearing in TWW. I feel like the existence of crafted gear makes the conquest vendor useless. For example, I'm a subtlety rogue, and all my BiS gear is crafted except for the tier set, I have to craft 2 vers/mastery daggers because the conquest ones don't have the right stats, so my quest doesn't give me anything. Also the way to get sockets seems very expensive to me. For each socket you have to spend 12.5k honor, or 5k honor and 30k gold if you buy the 3 gems in AH. Normal bgs or arenas don't give enough honor in relation to the cost of these sockets, at least in DF you could add 3 sockets to the necklace easily, with the bonus that the crafted rings already had the socket included. I hope Blizzard reduces the honor price for these sockets. Enchants and gems will eventually become cheaper, but for now everything costs 10k or more, and weapon enchants cost 20k+. Obviously this only affects players who want to go full BiS from week one. I've already spent almost 200k on 3 characters, I don't remember any expansion that expensive at least for enchants, the only expensive enchant I remember from DF was sophic devotion.
You're only going to craft a couple items anyway because you need the forged gladiator heraldry and you can only got more with 175 conq which is better spent on actual conq gear. Get your weapons crafted then go for conq gear.
You don't need Tier 3 enchants, and all BIS crafts, crafted weapon, and such week 1, that's just you copying the streamers and youtubers.. Unless you're in the top 1% then it wont really matter.
Other than speed you shouldn't be enchanting anything, because you're paying the ultra premium price on gear that you will replace in a few weeks. Save your golf for conquest gear and just play brother.

@@acannon2700 That part makes sense. I guess it's just a way Blizzard has tried to integrate PvPers into the same content PvEers are using. They would like overlap between player bases. Some of the mats can be expensive, and as a PvPer not wanting to fall behind, you still have to enchant all of your gear as well and the new enchants are horrendously expensive (at least for now).
This is so much crap just to hit things in a video game. This is like PvE gearing. Why is this so convoluted?? Just kill other players run BGs and buy gear. Thats all I want to do not 30 extra steps and it seems super easy to fuck something up spend alot of time and money and effort on the wrong items and get royally screwed over.
For me as an PvE AND PVP Player, the only source for PvP T-Set through Catalyze is crazy .. That basically means i cant get pvp set, because I will most likely spent my charges on pve gear ..
That "free pvp weapon" quest is just a wall stopping you from buying a weapon immediately, the free 2h weapon has terrible stats for my spec so I don't want it but have to wait until it's complete to buy one.
The amount of steps you need to do get BiS pvp gear is absolutely insane. blizzard did better when you just grinded honor or arena points and purchase your gear at the vendor. Simple and straight forward. This new process of gearing is what ruins wow from its roots, vanilla, TBC, lich king, cata and MOP were my favorite expansions, after that wow started going downhill
i Agree man i just hit lvl 80 on 2 characters and i had no clue how everyone else has 8000k hp and im stuck with 3000k im totally useless in bgs and arena and there are 5000steps to get the gear hope they fix or do something about it man
@@Sammysapphira I’m talking about the basic pvp vendors back in the older expansions, it wasn’t complicated and completely noob friendly to grind. Some people don’t enjoy doing raids or aren’t good at it, doing pvp only in the older expansions and comparing it to this expansion is so so different and not fun.
I upgraded an epic item to a set piece but it does not scale to ilvl 639 in pvp like the one I got from the 1600 rating token, just to 600 which is super useless. Did I do something wrong?
Items have different quality of upgrades that determine how high they can be upgraded and how high they scalę in pvp. Epics have veteran and champion upgrade quality and only epics with champion go to 639 in pvp. I learned that when i bought world pvp chest and wanted to make it a set piece.
I very casually dabbled into WoW pvp and I can't say I am a fan of the gearing changes. The early stages of honor grinding are not appealing at all, and just feel like a time gate on content I would otherwise enjoy, doing some arena skirmishes and eventually some solo shuffle. The more barriers there are to starting pvp the more people decide not to participate.
i don't understand whats the difference between crafted green/purple gear (613/639) and buying honor/conquest (613/639)? What even is the point of the crafted gear if have to purchase the reagent with honor/conquest? Why not just use the honor/conquest on buying the gear right away?

So a hotfix went through Wednesday making crafting the pvp helmet cost 5 instead of 4… Dumbest fucking thing to ever happen so all the no life’s and streamers are ahead now by a whole ass piece of gear sockets and everything cuz of that
You can't have two of a ring of the same name, but they make 2 Competitor rings but with differing stats from one another. If you're trying to get 2 specific stats, you'll have to wait until you can get the upgraded version of one ring, if that makes sense since the new ring would have a different name.
@@KibaWolf04 i don't think there is an algari wand. But there are other weapons you can craft with embellishments. Anything algari can have an embellishment added.
this guide makes it sound like the epic crafted pvp gear can be converted to tier through the catalyst. just found out the hard way that it cant be converted to tier. also your website is just a bunch of 404 error pages. lmao

As a brand new player who is determined to not give up on this game, i had no idea about the pvp gear or what honor is. There is a mountain of info to digest but i will not give up no matter how many times i die.
If you’re lucky fury will get nerfed hard, though I wouldn’t count on it. It’s hard to say though, blizzard has a habit of letting some op stuff go for waayyyy too long, while overnerfing some things into absolute oblivion without any compensation. Theres no telling what they will do, and it’d really anyone’s guess.
Gearing in War Within sucks. I do quest and pvp quests in War Mode and don't get anything! As an Alliance your stupidly outnumber but you quest around getting ganked by 3 players and get absolutely squat! It sucks! The misinformation is atrocous here I did all my world quests in WM and got nothing and he's doubling down on the idea that you can do WM questing to get blood tokens. YOU DON"T EVEN GET THEM WHEN YOU DO THE PVP WORLD QUEST DUDE! YOU ONLY GET TOKENS WHEN THE QUEST SPECIFICALLY AWARDS TOKENS!!!! The only way to get blood tokens is pray and hope a chest appears and then hope your faction is favourable to getting the chest. Talk about a crapy system for gearing. I like how in the misinformative video he talks about blood tokens and has no blood tokens.
Idk, either you spend your conquest on the weapon first but its "wasted" 3 weeks later or you just wait for the cap ,buy some gear meanwhile and get the free weapon. I guess it's a choice worth questionning

Just get your conquest gear, enchants, and gems. All the other BiS is overated. Without bis I'm currently at a 2000 rating in solo shuffle and have no reason to think I've reached my plateau yet

Shadowlands was by far the worst gold wise. Those legendaries early in the season could be 250k

From what i can tell, crafting is the way to get BIS pvp gear. 🤷 I kind of like it, because you still have to do pvp to get the crafting matts

Random tip, if you're leveling it's not a bad idea to spam BG's both epic and normal. That way you can have 15k honor at max level and get a full set.

Try switching loot spec and accepting quest to see if you get better stats?

That never existed. You have always been able to get advantageous gear in pvp through raid or boes or specific dungeon trinkets.

Once you finish the campaign and unlock world quests just make sure you have War Mode enabled and they activate.
