WoD was the first expansion I'd say should be changed from its original version. If I recall the biggest complaint was it was just to short/small. Was there cut dungeons or raids that could be finished and added in perhaps?
Man 1 PVP & 1 PVE is 100% the way to go. I just wish we got the same thing for TBC and Wrath! I do like the idea of a 3 year cycle for Vanilla, TBC & Wrath that would be awesome
If/when they start making Classic+, They really need to make a leveling path in completely new content, maybe from level 10 or 15. That would probably bring a lot of people back that wouldn't otherwise have come, because they can experience the new stuff much sooner.
I'll probably check out the fresh realms and slowly level a character up. I don't see myself investing multiple hours a night to level up in time to raid again though

Existing HC servers Defias Pillager and Skull Rock went to the Classic Era tab as type "Hardcore Normal"; all existing Classic Era are still there. Three new servers are under the new Anniversary tab: Fengus' Ferocity (PvP), Moldar's Moxie (PvE), and Slip'kik's Savvy (PvE) If there are supposed to be Anniversary HC, I do not see them (yet).
@@user-lo3bq5py1h TBC is trash.....apparently you've missed the massive amounts of players hyped for years over Vanilla. TBC is the beginning of the end, Retail Light.
You know, all I wanted was TBC, but now I have to wait another year. I have many 60s on era and I don't think I'll play unless I'll, one day, be able to transfer them. Who knows, I may start my sub again when tbc finally comes out.
So where have you been 2 yrs ago? We had everything and it was a disaster. People are min maxing everything, class stacking, logs checking, gold selling and buying. Community suxx and always will.
The only thing thats unclear is, will the debutf limit still be around in the new realms? They mention that HC realms won't have a debutf limit but don't mention if the regular servers do or not.
- Removal of buff/debuff limit will trivialize content further and force usage of additional buffs/consumeables increasing raiding costs and buff prep. While it might increase the damage of less favored classes slightly, it will also enable proc based spell power melee specs with higher buff and consumeable usage. - Dual spec will force respecs within the raid and pressure hybrid classes into damage specs, Casters respeccing for singular bosses based on resistances and melees switching to cleave specs.Which of course will impact loot availability and complicating raiding requirements further. It will not help healers farm in the open world as those spots will be forcefully taken by classes in pure pvp specs. Of course loot competition will go up as well as there are no clear cuts in roles anymore. - Now that the devs reversed on their "keeping classic honest principles" everything is on the table which ultimately means its not classic anymore. I've seen enough of these things during WOTLK and SOM/SOD to know its a death sentence from the get go for classic2.
So we just got a new blue post. Adding in 3 more things for classic fresh, but still no *Guild Bank* wth? So we get wrath QoL but not bg from Tbc, ehh? The 3 changes are: * Instant mail between your characters on the same account * Removal of buff/debuff limit * Dual spec
Guild bank is okay, but not bringing it is not a deal breaker or something to keep talking about it. Dual spec on the other hand is a hard deal breaker...could literally double the amount of players giving a shot to a 2nd classic release.
I would love it if it would just be a pre patch fresh that goes on for a year before TBC opens up that way we can level blood elf and draeni plus pre patch is super fun with the updates and gear updates
I said this for ages - Blizz should just release the whole of vanilla (maybe nax about 6 months later). Then after 12 months or so TBC again in its entirety. People doing BWL in greens with 20 man will show Blizzard just HOW much they need to make Classic+.
Absolutely! I'm really disappointed that I have to play alts for a year until I can start my main (Alliance shaman). That's one thing when classic first started as we didn't know what was going to happen, but now that we know we are going to BC from the start, it feels like this should be on the table.
I mostly enjoyed the initial launch of Classic, save for the fact that most people just paid a mage for a leech, leaving grouping pretty dead. I was looking forward to classic TBC, but only got to play for a week or two before real life got in the way and I have never gotten back into the game. Part of that was that whole "life got in the way" thing, which changed my living situation and income such that it really wasn't viable to play, but also the whole grouping was dead thing. In the first few weeks there was a chance of getting into groups, but by 3 months after launch I knew that grouping would be pretty much impossible. And from what I understand, if you really wanted to build your reputation in TBC, you had to start out in the dungeons rather than questing, but with no groups, dungeons were off the table. I would love to play more TBC if the grouping and community was better (I play MMOs to play with people, not to solo grind content). Might consider Wrath, but I feel like Wrath was when the game started its slide downhill. While I've seen some cool talents and abilities in later versions of the game, Blizzard made far too many big mistakes for it to be worth playing beyond Wrath.
The problem, and what I think people want, is that these "seasonal games" are supposed to be MMOS. A persistent world, where communities are born! Instead what we are getting are games that reset every so often.
I don't think that's a big deal for classic. Leveling is the journey, a lot of ppl value and want the fresh experience, and not much to do once you've done all the content.
100% this. The amount of comments on this video & others reporting on fresh all typing things like “dual spec” or “make paladins other specs viable” etc is wild. You guys commenting things like that either want classic+ or SoD. Wow classic is literally bring 10x wars, 10x rogues, 10x mages, 4x healers & some hunters or warlocks. Asking for new stuff isnt part of what fresh is/should be.
@@MrLemmiwinks91 SoD classes are overdesigned. They should've done a few fixes here and there, a few new abilities instead of remaking every class with retail level procs. The first phase level of changes is where it shoud've ended for most classes
Except for the fact how every arena match in MOP felt like it always went deeper into dampening than other expansions. I really hope blizzard doesnt go into "classic" for every single expansion.
1-60 plus some mc is a lot of fun especially on a fresh server. Idk for me personally the raid progression was great but it was a one and done type deal. The people who progd raid for the trilogy I have mad respect for but god damn no idea how you could have the energy to come back and do it again in a five year period let alone much longer. Respect though!
If you get the itch to play enjoy it until your sated then quit. I quit playing at tbc classic. Sod phase 3. Haven't touched retail since legion. Done with hardcore aftery 4th 60. Tempted for classic again since 2019 was my favorite experience of wow. Having all these options is nice.
Fun. Getting off work, getting home, and having something fun to do with your time. Sure, better and healthier options are available, but they're generally not as fun.
Respectfully, (and i know i may be in the minority here, but) classic classic is such a stupid idea and classic+ at the 20 year anniversary would have made more sense. Ive already seen countless discussions on discord of people saying theyll lock their name and wait for TBC. Me included.
Yayyyyy more vanilla servers that we didn't need. Lets release fresh servers when SoD hasnt even concluded and make its player base dwindle even more, even though they announced they will be adding new end game stuff in SoD. Feels like the people at blizzard are just competing against themselves at this point. We don't need 5 versions of WoW lol. I wish we could just keep SoD going while they iron out classic plus and give that new servers when it releases. Also how far are they going to go with these classic expansion servers? Are they just going to re-release every game?
@ that’s exactly how I feel man. I enjoy the pve, progression, leveling, world design, and class fantasy in classic so much more than retail. But fuckkk dude half the specs are not playable and the itemization for a lot of items is atrocious. And sadly both shaman and paladin are my favorite class and they are both relegated to healers in classic. Like if they just make all the specs viable and fix itemization then classic is perfection.
MoP Classic is what i'm looking forward the most can get that long time itch scratched again before putting the game down for good. kinda wish the Class / Spec Mechanics from MoP was in the current game best time I have ever had with a Ret Paladin / Brewmaster Monk.
I always enjoyed warlords in a mechanics way. It holds two of my favorite memories. One is just healing through dungeons with my dual wielding friend, and playing the dungeons.
Honestly without those sod skills you're gonna get bored of the classes fast... I've played both and sod makes the classes feel polished but some of them do feel overdone with the runes but it's still great. Vanilla is gonna be 1 button rotation for the most part and majority of the raids will have warriors and rogues.
I went PvP realm during classic, imagining epic battles in the middle of different zones, finding rivals and the everpresent edge of being on dangerous zones and emerging victorious. Sadly, the reality was: 90% getting instakilled by someone a lot higher level than me or getting ganged up by 2+ people, and only the remaining 10% of fights were legit 1v1s. Arriving at a high level quest zone and seeing 8 hordes around the questgiver already told me I'd never get a quest done. Never again, PvE it is.
Cus back in the day everyone played alliance bc lotr So they made horde OP and will never change it, so everyone plays horde on pvp at least so pvp servers for ally are jokes
11:45 Honestly Warlords of Draenor Classic would be pretty good as long as they made it much shorter than the original. WoD's main problem wasn't bad content, it was a lack of content. So if you do WoD in half the time I don't see a problem with it.
I'm really hoping for #somechanges this time around. It's a great start with the removal of GDKPs, but there's some TBC-era conveniences that I see no reason shouldn't be implemented. Summoning stones, instant mail between alts, guild banks, and of course DUAL SPEC!
@@shadowhisper070 how about let us start with TBC talents from the start (lvl 10), this way specs are more balanced than the Vanilla alternative. Also give us TBC races from start too. I would love to progress Vanilla content with a Blood Elf Pally!
I prefer TBC to Vanilla. I think TBC, from a gameplay perspective, is everything Vanilla wishes it was. Vanilla had a beautiful open world 1-60, no complaints there (except having to travel so god damn far for everything instead of having a natural progression through zones that flows better), the raids are fun, it's so raw and nostalgic. The good and the bad are blatant and amplified, and that's what I love about it. But TBC is just better in every way. Classes are better, PvE is better, Arenas are amazing. For me, it'll be fun to do the Vanilla thing again and camp people in STV a bit. But, at the end of the day, the moment I saw Classic get announced, I knew TBC would happen no matter what. And Vanilla was always going to be a waiting room for TBC and Wrath for me.
Warcraft direct confirmed for me that after SoD ends, I’m done with WoW for the foreseeable future. I hadn’t played since 2019 when SoD looked interesting enough to give a try and I’ve been loving it since. But nothing they’ve announced seems even remotely enticing to me.
They should have refresh servers forever. Every few years these servers should reset in full. 1 year in vanilla, 1 year in tbc and 1 year in wrath. Then back to vanilla. If you want to keep your character and stuff then you should be able to copy it over to a permanent server.
Playing classic when sod fixed a lot of classic's issues is hating yourself. Going back to one button spam and most of the classes not being viable is not something I ever want again.
The idea of SoD is great, but the thing is, the majority of people who still play it are greasy sweatlords (at least in the EU). I haven't seen that many crybabies in one place.
If you play classic you want the... Classic experience. Retail is for new stuff. I tried sod and while fun it didn't feel as classic. Basically you got abilities from later expansions.. At that point why not play retail?
I'd be more inclined to do Classic again if they removed world buffs from raids. They're just too toxic, and a pain in the ass to acquire. The chronoboon is just a bandaide, though I'm glad it exists.
I know they want no changes but i really wish they would implement debuff limits removed, something like summoning stones in raids, honor system rework, world buffs automatically going into your boon. Theres such little QoL that could be done to the game to improve it so much. But i understand the desire for no changes and respect it.
Hello guys. New to WoW and would like to try the classic fresh server but I’m abit confused. Can I start making new character on classic or I should wait for Fresh server because that’s a completelt different classic server? Thank you
Quite frankly i don't see the point of just re-releasing the same game over and over. Loses a lot of its value and charm. Makes all the effort and time investment prior, which is a big part of Classic's charm, completely irrelevant. For similar reasons ill never understand how people can level the same class countless times, with a very small number of exceptions. I would personally be questioning my own mental health and why i even leveled the first character just to abandon it for another. I value character investment, it's sentimental value, attachment, progression...not a repetitive, mindless grind for some nostalgia-driven dopamine hits. Immersion alone doesn't suffice.
Speak only for yourself...the world doesn't revolve around you. Talking about mental health problems...jesus...you need help. It's just a game, you've got no rifht to say how people enjoy their free time. Embarrassing
In my opinion Classic+ would need new content that fits vanilla in every single zone and from 1-60. New dungeons, side quests, caves. Very small additions. Stuff like adding a quest to the Naga in Tanaris for example. I would also like to see tiny class changes. Just to fix up obvious stuff. No debuff limit and maybe small mana buffs to hybrids or reducing the druid shapeshift cost.
WOD-Classic doesn't sound so bad, *IF* we get the latest patch and some fixes. Original WOD dragged on for too long, so if the whole thing takes a year or so, I think it could be good.
Exactly. WoD's biggest issues were the lack of content combined with a content drought for months on end. If the time of the xpac is cut in half (or maybe more tbh...) it would be fine. Tho it would be better for them to just skip it altogether.
If they give WoD the scrapped shattrath raid or what ever was planned it will definitely be one of my all time fave expansions. Atleast the theme and story felt like world of warcraft

They should make a classic only subscription for 5-6 bucks a month. 155 bucks per player until tbc release next year is just crazy. The amount of work on retail cannot be compared to the work on vanilla…

If/when they start making Classic+, They really need to make a leveling path in completely new content, maybe from level 10 or 15. That would probably bring a lot of people back that wouldn't otherwise have come, because they can experience the new stuff much sooner.

The new realm directory is showing up (update pushed to client around 730AM PST), though all servers offline (obviously, at 9AM PST).
Existing HC servers Defias Pillager and Skull Rock went to the Classic Era tab as type "Hardcore Normal"; all existing Classic Era are still there.
Three new servers are under the new Anniversary tab: Fengus' Ferocity (PvP), Moldar's Moxie (PvE), and Slip'kik's Savvy (PvE)
If there are supposed to be Anniversary HC, I do not see them (yet).

The only thing thats unclear is, will the debutf limit still be around in the new realms? They mention that HC realms won't have a debutf limit but don't mention if the regular servers do or not.
Might play for the leveling experience as i find it enjoyable. Sticking around for the years.. definitely not again
Well said!
So we just got a new blue post. Adding in 3 more things for classic fresh, but still no *Guild Bank* wth? So we get wrath QoL but not bg from Tbc, ehh? The 3 changes are:
* Instant mail between your characters on the same account
* Removal of buff/debuff limit
* Dual spec
Guild bank is okay, but not bringing it is not a deal breaker or something to keep talking about it.
Dual spec on the other hand is a hard deal breaker...could literally double the amount of players giving a shot to a 2nd classic release.
3:30 but HC is "everfresh" as upon death (unless you have alts lined up on that server), you can go again on that or another server
Lets make this happen! This would also make the meme specs viable as TBC talents/specs are much more balanced than Vanilla’s!
@@rfl1882 exactly!
Theres not much to do once u do it all tho :/
Well i like restarting with the boys now and then
I don't think that's a big deal for classic. Leveling is the journey, a lot of ppl value and want the fresh experience, and not much to do once you've done all the content.
Reset with your community then
I mean it's "seasonal" but the seasons still last for multiple years. That's more than enough time for bonding with people in an mmorpg.
There isn’t any reason to have vanilla again. The honeymoon phase will be like 2 weeks . Sod is the actual classic+ blizzard should make it better

The point is to have fun, if you don't think it will be fun, don't play

As long as idiots keep buying it they’ll keep selling the same game
They are just trying to grab Subs at this point it's pretty sad considering last year we were sooooooo hyped for Classic + and why it could be
SoD sucks. Very happy they're finally releasing some fresh Vanilla servers. I can finally re-sub.
Sticking with SoD. I can't go back to playing a vanilla shadow priest. 😂

Locking my name for TBC then its back to enjoying SoD. Cba doing classic again
What class do you play on Sod ?
@@TheWowzz Holy Pala!
It will be hard to play fresh without those SoD skills but I never played Druid Tank, gonna try that and leave it until TBC if it sucks.
Cus back in the day everyone played alliance bc lotr
So they made horde OP and will never change it, so everyone plays horde on pvp at least so pvp servers for ally are jokes
Dual spec is a huge hell yeah.
@@shadowhisper070 how about let us start with TBC talents from the start (lvl 10), this way specs are more balanced than the Vanilla alternative. Also give us TBC races from start too. I would love to progress Vanilla content with a Blood Elf Pally!
Another good thing could be "Instant CD Resets after dueling in certain areas" - there is a huge dueling community and this could benefit of it
100% agree.
Long live Vanilla!
Wait so you won't be available to transfer dead hc char to pvp realm?
Warcraft direct confirmed for me that after SoD ends, I’m done with WoW for the foreseeable future. I hadn’t played since 2019 when SoD looked interesting enough to give a try and I’ve been loving it since.
But nothing they’ve announced seems even remotely enticing to me.
They will prob do a real Classic+ sometimes after SoD ends. They're already taking features from it into this fresh start.
When does it go live?
They should have refresh servers forever. Every few years these servers should reset in full. 1 year in vanilla, 1 year in tbc and 1 year in wrath. Then back to vanilla. If you want to keep your character and stuff then you should be able to copy it over to a permanent server.
Agree 100%

Playing classic when sod fixed a lot of classic's issues is hating yourself. Going back to one button spam and most of the classes not being viable is not something I ever want again.
The idea of SoD is great, but the thing is, the majority of people who still play it are greasy sweatlords (at least in the EU). I haven't seen that many crybabies in one place.
The fix would have been for these fresh servers to start with TBC talents/specs from the beginning. TBC Specs were much more balanced than Vanilla’s.
Classic clearly sells, the biggest the games concurrent player base has been in well over a decade
If you play classic you want the... Classic experience. Retail is for new stuff. I tried sod and while fun it didn't feel as classic. Basically you got abilities from later expansions.. At that point why not play retail?
What's sod?
Is TBC gonna release at 21th of November aswell ?
No, more like March-June 2026
TBC Classic HYPE!
What would you like to see happen instead ?

MoP and WoD had goated pve content no doubt
If they give WoD the scrapped shattrath raid or what ever was planned it will definitely be one of my all time fave expansions. Atleast the theme and story felt like world of warcraft
If they don't leave a server up for MoP when it's over, I think that's a wrap for Classic.
