I have a challenge for you, I would like to see you customize dino-riders figures not dinosaurs. In other words repainting the hair and headbands they come with! What Brand of paint and Brushes you use
I use Achohal in a Spray Bottle small PumpnOne
Or Hand Sanitizer
And a Q-tip or Paper Tiowel

Can I substitute regular tape for the blue tape?
Not the best idea, the blue tape has less adhesion, you can also use the green frog tape.
I thin my Acrylic Craft Paint right in the Bottle
I add Glass Marble and Distilled Water
Shake
Not Stired .
And it thin as MorecExpensive Paints

Anyone watching this in the future like me use a color wheel and you will be able to match anything. It takes some practice but you will match it eventually using a wheel. Watch an art channel tutorial on how to use it and you can't miss. I do Transformers and other figures and never fail on matching due to using the color wheel. Try you like!!!!

Would I use the same process before painting doing a whole body paint?? I want to change the purple on a phantom figure to a darker purple..thanks
I would just do a purple ink wash, that will make it darker and scratches will not be as noticeable.

@He-Bro ok thanks,I've got the neca Phantom(not the defenders one)and I'm tryin 2 change it 2 a billy zane movie accurate purple which kinda even is a little closer 2 maroon in my opinion, this will be my first time painting a figure plus adding eyes so🙏🙏lol,thanks again

What do I need to do, If I want to make custom figures on marvel legends? Do I need a technique before and after painting tips? Cuz I just have tried to paint on figure with model color paints and after drying the paint comes easily off. Did I did maybe something wrong? Or the paints are not good enough for plastic? I want to know!
Some plastics are very hard to get paint to stick, clean well with alcohol, and do a dry wipe before it evaporates, you may also have to do a wet sand with 400 grit sandpaper. It may also require a primer.
I can't believe that I just wasted 43mins. of my life to just see you mix paint on the bottom of a paper cup and to finally decide to just give up at the end... thanks a lot he BRO.
@carlosarce6352 Well we learn some painting tips, we saw him paint the Batman head, and saw some other repainted heads on some custom figures, No he didn't finish the Teela head, but the first half was decent.
What kind of tape to use to cover paint?
Blue painter tape, an the hardware store, in the house paint section.

hello bro.. something i want to know.. i have a extra he man toy the head is like those hard rubber. i want to paint him with black in the hair. everybody use acrlicpaint i have a lot of acrylic paint but when i paint it the paint wont stick in the head. u know like those water resistant thing textures. can u help me pls.. thank u very much.. ❤️
you need to start with a primer sometimes to get the paint to stick. Also make sure you clean the head really good with alcohol, and dry wipe it with a clean wiper before it evaporates.
do i have to do this "sanding" on it? these he man toy what im sayin is those classic style toy but re-realse in 2022 master pf universe orgins

So you like painting with model color? At mine figure don't last longer and start coming off. I thought you can give my some ideas of permanent paints for plastic 🤔
Make sure you clean the surface you are going to paint with alcohol first. (And wipe it dry with a clean cloth to remove any residue before painting)

@@UsoppDgreat Many people swear by premiering the parts first, I personally have only done that when I was painting on gold paint to block the weeping of the plastic toxins into the gold paint. If the color is going to be completely different I could see using a primer to keep the new color consistent.

There is SO MUCH blue left on around batman's eyes. Very sloppy. It would have made more sense to just paint his eyes black and then go over it again with white later.
