Welcome to another stash-busting project! I finally used up this Rifle Paper Co/Cotton & Steel collab cotton from my stash to create this lovely light dress that will be perfect for spring and summer.
The material is called "English Garden," it's 100% cotton.
And I used a white invisible zipper from Coats and Clarks that I had to shorten a bit.

No idea why, but the first 5 seconds or so of audio just... didn't show up? Very rude, right? A girl can only re-upload so many times, so we're going to live with it for now.
I also forgot to mention it, but you can clearly see in some shots, I used a length of cotton tape to create a neckline finish instead of lining the bodice so I could get a neat finish without any extra bulk so I can wear this into the hot weather.

Thanks! Fortunately, because I didn't gather right up to the zipper, I should be able to just take a little out of those straight panels in the back.
The dress is really pretty. The pattern matching at the back is just genius. I did find the music playing over the voiceover a little distracting but still an amazing video.

Hopefully by now you have adjusted your dress dummy, but knowing us, we make things work without them being exact. Our lovely brand of chaos. Definitely need an update if you were able to adjust the back. I hope you are able to get lots of use out of this cute summer dress!
I basically just took in the fabric around the zipper a bit and then added another stitch to reinforce the neckline facing and it doesn't gap nearly as much now!
But yeah... I have still not yet padded out my dress form. So, I just continue to embrace the chaos!
