Wow, what a transformation. I don't know how you are able to part with these beautiful pieces?? Uou staged it with your ironstone, but I envisioned how beautiful some of your crocks would look displayed there. I know, we just don't have room for every piece we bring home and make beautiful. Nice job.😊
I do love the look of the milk paint and wax finish but it makes me smile as I'm now 77 and remember when I was a child the crackle and bubbles on items which were irresistible to tiny fingers ! 😊❤
If it’s old, I want it to look old. But still be nice and usable. And somehow you find that happy medium and pull it off just right. Your skills are progressing beautifully.
Best part in that hutch is you kept the integrity. It’s old but it’s rich. It will go on n live again. It’s a beauty! Loving milk paint n having a great time using it. Adding the wax to it gives it another dimension. ♥️♥️😊👍👍🌟🌟
That was really, really in need. I loved the color you chose it looked so good with the inside. It just needed the master's touch of Chickie. God Bless. Hugs, Rebekah
Yvonne, this piece is called a “ bucket bench” . I would have held milk buckets on the shelves. That’s why the stains are very present. I had one until ver recently when it sold. Just very primitive raw rough wood many times
👍👍💪💪 You scared me ! LOL!!!!! Don’t be ripping your shoulders apart and needing surgery 😬 What a beautiful piece that turned into. It was amazing before, but that color ….. beautiful choice and with the black wax! You have an excellent eye and vision for every piece Yvonne ! Well done 🧡🧡🍁🍁🧡🧡 17:53
OhMyGoodness!! I sooo Love this!! That suitcase paint is to die for!! The diff waxes just enhances so much!! I think this might be a Top Rater for me in as much natural as possible!! I do Love your greens tho!!!❤❤❤
That is really a gorgeous brown color! You have really blessed so many of us with your channel! I used to make and decorate fondant cakes but my eye sight has made that I had to find something else, you are my inspiration!! I love finding and refinishing unwanted items, like treasure hunting!! Pls consider adding an Amazon wish list in the description box?! 😊
Oh YAY!!!! I have a cabinet that is red, “old red” not fire engine”, but now I see how I can use Cherry Pie on it!!!! THANK YOU!!!!! This piece is beautiful and the natural wax definitely toned down! You are SO GOOD at this❤❤❤❤
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼wow I love your work!! I could watch you flip furniture all day😊You and your husband are definitely in the wright business! I wish I lived near you so I could buy your furniture!
You are a determined lady…love it! I was determined once just like you were and was taking a cabinet down to my basement and ended up fracturing my heel and limped around for a while. But has not stopped me. Lol
Turned out beautiful! What a great room divider it would make with that beautiful wood on the back! Pieces like this just need to be appreciated for what they are :)
Thank you Yvonne, for the suggestion to buy the flatter brush, so it absorbs less paint. Bought my first Fusion and Dixie Bell products last week, to prep some bits & pieces before Christmas. Watched the lovely Kristen Hoffman do prolonged battle with a dining room table last week, and wished you could have been cheering her on Yvonne. You're both extremely persistent!
I appreciate how much time and effort you put in to cleaning your items before starting the makeover! I cringe every time I watch other DIYers paint directly over the dirt and grime and sometimes stickers. This piece turned out beautiful!
All your choices show your respect for the history of this piece. I actually prefer the slightly warmer color on the inside that you achieved with Howard's citrus wax, as it makes a lovely contrast with the suitcase brown paint on the outside.
You inspired me to paint my old white hutch. I had never used milk paint before but I loved it and the end results. I ordered cherry pie and it was perfect!
It really is a beautiful piece. I really have started decorating in English country, but the more I watch your channel the more I question, what I really want. lol Fickle I know.....
paintedheirloom.com/collections/brushes/products/decoration-spalter-brush-one-series-1060 It’s my favorite.. I use it all the time.. worth the investment
It looks better than before you worked on it, to me. I would say that you did indeed keep the integrity and gave it added beauty. You know exactly what to do to a piece, you give them all some TLC and they always perform for you. Awesome! xx

What a beautiful piece that turned into. It was amazing before, but that color ….. beautiful choice and with the black wax! You have an excellent eye and vision for every piece Yvonne !
Well done 🧡🧡🍁🍁🧡🧡 17:53
I tried to be careful.. thank you
Could you add some feet to it to make it look like it could stand on its own? Great finishing job Yvonne!
You could.. though that would make the top really tall. Just a personal preference
OhMyGoodness!! I sooo Love this!! That suitcase paint is to die for!! The diff waxes just enhances so much!! I think this might be a Top Rater for me in as much natural as possible!! I do Love your greens tho!!!❤❤❤
Sometimes, you find a jewel in the rough. Keeping the integrity of the piece was the right thing to do !!

Simply beautiful, especially with iron stone pieces❤
I would say yes you did keep that piece’s integrity.
You are a determined lady…love it!
I was determined once just like you were and was taking a cabinet down to my basement and ended up fracturing my heel and limped around for a while.
But has not stopped me. Lol
Oops.. luckily you recovered ❤️
Hi Yvonne. The milk paint was definitely the way to go. Love the brown. It gave it an old appearance. Like it had. Love it! Beautiful!
