Oh, oh so nice. Years ago i had this dresser my dad covered with brown ugly contact paper and i had a heck of a time removing that contact paper but i got it all off to find why he covered it but i sanded it down and repainted it to beautiful. So ugly can be beautiful..😊😊😊😊
You are amazing. That green is beautiful, my favorite color. That was a great makeover. So glad you can see the beauty in the mistreated items. Thanks for sharing.
I’m like you…I once bought a 6 seater farmhouse table & chairs that was painted MAUVE PINK with a crackle finish 🤦🏽♀️ It was $200 for the set and I was not passing it up! So after a bit of sanding, painting & staining, I gave it new life! That was 12 years ago and guess what, I’m getting ready to redo it again because my decor style has shifted some…paint fixes everything 🤣
Yes I would and I did. I have the same island and love it now. Filled in the squares took off the bottom shelf, striped the top and oiled it. Added nice antiqued bronze long handles on one side for my dish towels.
Love this piece and the color. I am glad there was no crackling and just distressing of the edges. I would have loved to seen it with clear wax and kept the beautiful shade of green.
I doubt I would of tackled it! You did an AMAZING JOB on it. Not surprised it sold already. The color was a good choice I love it. Thanks for sharing your talent.
Love that vintage green ♥️♥️♥️. I’m so glad you conjured up that perfect color green. I wrote the recipe down as I don’t want to forget. I’m not surprised that it sold quickly. It turned out fabulous n looks soooo good! ♥️♥️😊👍👍👍🌟🌟🌟🌟
Maybe 10 years ago I’d give it a shot, but not today! You’re absolutely amazing, Yvonne. That piece turned out perfectly GORGEOUS in your hands! I love it!
No, I would not of tackled it. It is a beautiful piece now and I love it!! I enjoy watching all your makeovers and your hunting for goods. :) Thanks for sharing!!
I love the piece and color, and yes, it looks just like the green of back in the day. To me finishing the underside tells people how thorough the person who did the finishing is and takes pride in their work. You are that person!
So glad it has already sold!! You know im not a lover of black paint so I would have matched it with the table top but I love the way you put your special touch on it!!! I think it was so pretty!! I just love your technique so much!!
Gorgeous! I would've done this, but then I spent an entire Summer sanding a dresser (dumb), painted it green, used shellac in the drawers to get rid of the mildew smell after using sunlight, bleach, vodka and it STILL smells so it stays in the garden shed. Some pieces are winners, some are bummers! I strain my paint to use in my critter sprayer.
Beautiful job!! In the 80’s I inherited a Hoosier cabinet that was painted hot pink and white. I spent many hours working on it. It is hand made with 5-6? different woods. The doors are shadow box style. They hung unevenly, so my sweet husband took them apart and squared them up. However, they must have been made crooked, so wouldn’t fit. He took them apart and put them back the way they were and to this day they hang unevenly. It is a beautiful piece, that my daughter has in her home. Someone suggested painting it and she replied, “absolutely not!!!” She loves the perfectly imperfect also. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you ❤ I was actually taking it out of my vehicle to put it in my booth and a lady said to just take it to her car.. she had already grabbed the two stools I had just distressed and painted in the same color.. heart warming
1:30 Hello love learning from your video. I didn't see or hear what you paid for it at auction or what you sold it for, would you share it please? Learning pricing is part of the experience too.
I saw that in the background of one of your other videos and wondered what in the world you was going to do with that thing. Well you worked your magic and did it! It's beautiful!
The beauty an the Beast ❤❤ or a purple people eatter to a green machine..i would love this for My work table..got to love the hunt in the wild..keep doing you ypur such a great teacher ❤❤
@@GingerChickRehab no, I think that happens a lot with those typical rollers. I can’t remember if it’s fusion or Dixie belle paint that has a roller. It’s really skinny and narrow. I used it redoing a bedroom suit. It was amazing. I will try and find the link. You did an amazing job! That island was beautiful.
I have watched you transform pieces in bad condition, this piece was not in bad condition just needed patience and it looks fantastic. I am loving the color with the black wax. Gorgeous! I would have grabbed it in a heartbeat. You have taught me so much about painting.

Just Beautiful 😮😮😅😅
Absolutely beautiful, not sure I would have done that much work unless I was keeping it. ❤
Get you a roller girl!
I always make a roller goop out the ends. Ends up being a mess. And it always seems to leave a texture. Probably something I’m doing wrong. 🫤
@@GingerChickRehab no, I think that happens a lot with those typical rollers. I can’t remember if it’s fusion or Dixie belle paint that has a roller. It’s really skinny and narrow. I used it redoing a bedroom suit. It was amazing. I will try and find the link.
