- Toyota Sienna 7 seater Minivan Review by Yuri Tereshyn. Had this Sienna for 3 weeks from Toyota because I wanted to haul around my cousin and her kids who are in town. Worked great for fitting everyone and was very comfortable. The CVT is a little annoying sounding which is good because it keeps me going slow(and fuel efficient) so I don't have to hear it!
I set up my Britax Car seats in it as well. You can see a review on the car seats here - • BEST Child Seats 2024
Shot some of the cool close ups with my Sandmarc Lenses. Review here - • SANDMARC iphone Lens R...

idk how ppl unsub for the sienna, literally one of the greatest cars ever made
Right
Dont know why people hated on reviewing boring cars like minivan. Like, I love to drive fast car/sport cars but I also love to watch minivan review. Well, I do hope to have kids someday and i love the space and functionalities.
I stand with Yuri, I stand with minivans
You Both Do an AMAZING JOB with what you do !! That said tell Jakob there is no boring view when you guys do it , if someone is going to turn there back on either of you , then i hope the door hits them in A$$ on the way out ! The true beauty was always in the honesty and integrity of your reviews as well as an entertaining time from what seems like long lost Canadian cousins . My continued support to you both !
. Remember narrow minds are that because they are underutilized
Need more minivan reviews
What 99% of pickup drivers need but would never buy
They would get the tahoe so they can still tow or a 4Runner bc it’s cool
Sung Kang (Han from Fast and Furious) claims his Sienna as his favorite daily driver. So that’s high praise for the magical allure of these vehicles. I love minivan life! I wish we had more options for them. I’d love an AWD Honda Odyssey. Or Pacifica SRT. Or a GR Sienna 😂. And let’s not forget the Mercedes R63 AMG! Main channel content for sure!
i have been driving toyota's since 20 years as long as you take very good care of her (regular oil change and maintenance) she will take very good care of you
The airbag is actually in the seat, unless you are talking about the side curtains. This is also why you cannot remove the second row seats. In addition to that, the long slide seats will actually go back further beyond the side pillar. 😊
Yessss tricky for a kid seat eh
Great review! When I watch a Straight Pipes video I know what to expect as far as production, excellent exterior car shots especially, but at the same time I know what I’m gonna get.. I didn’t know what to expect with this Sienna video though and I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to watch and how thorough the information was relating to usability, plus all the shots were legit.
✌️😊👍 Yuri
I think we all agree we need a full series of minivan reviews now
Deal
The hell are people unsubscribing for? Vans are awesome. You ever do a rode trip in a ford transit?
Very good review! Can you do more luxury vans, too? No children here, no need for vans, but i would totally see some of those Mercedes cooler vans as well.
One thing I miss in sliding doors is some jingle to it, cheesy yes but man I loved the one on my parents Pontiac Trans Sport, also miss its looong front windshield 😢
You know what Mr Tereshyn, I did these types of videos. Maybe do the "boring" (which i think is dumb because boring car comparisions are way more fun than like lambo vs Ferrari debate) car reviews here, and do the exotic ones in TSP. Not only are you able to rant about things you wouldn't be able to in tsp (which i love, your rants are great) but also you'd be able to have a liiitle mkre revenue (which i admit, it's a stretch). Looove the video Mr Tereshyn, PLEASE do more. (Would love reviews like honda oddysey or other types like Hyundai sonata) 👍🏼
I don’t know why they don’t make 8 seaters siennas as an “a la carte” option. Instead it only tied to the lower trims.
I was so confused, I was like.. this looks like a straight pipes thumbnail.. but that’s not the channel icon 😂
Shout out to Yuri and all the minivan lovers.
Listen to this: Minivans are useful to people with more than 2 kids. Why would you want captain's seats if you have 3 kids?
Get to the back without folding a seat?
So so we unsubscribe from straight pipes, and subscribe to Yuri to make a point?
Nooooooo
As an owner of a 2012 sienna, it is the best truck I have ever owned. 4x8 sheets of material fit perfectly, can't say that about most trucks. It is the most practical car you can own.
Since 2018, the Odyssey Elite trim has folding mirrors, but they are not automatic.
That rear seat looks much smaller compared to previous generations.
It's wild that people would un-sub after 1 minivan review lol
I would love a "boring" car review series.
I’m pretty sure the SRS airbag isn’t in the pillar; it’s in the seat itself in the second row. That’s why they’re not removable.
What is the fuel tank capacity and how much mileage it gives?
Dude you can review a unicycle and I would enjoy it.
Unless you’re drinking cans, only two cupholders are usable…and only with cups less than 30 oz.
Came here after Han's video
Does it have automatic high beams
The old Dodge caravan is the best
Legendary
Would you have this or the Odyssey?
I think odyssey because of the seats sliding sideways
Yuri can you do the Kia Van next?
I’ll ask but I don’t know if Kia likes us
@@YuriTereshyn Well it never hurt to ask right.. 😜
@@YuriTereshyn honestly their loss. People are probably wising up anyways over their cruddy engineering.
Kia are better, too many people dismissing Korean cars for the wrong reason
XLE on Title but Limited on the tailgate😮
Weird, my 2016 has cabin talk 6:40
Sienna Limited you mean….not XLE
These guys stealing the straight pipes thumbnails is getting out of hand, now they're stealing the presenters too!
Lmao trueeee
I actually thought i clicked on TSP Channel but nope lol. I liked boring cars so i need more please.
It’s like half the tsp channel
Minivan gang over here!
😂😂😂 People unsubbed because of a mini-van review; lmao. What a bunch of wackos
Yeah when he said that I was like what? Just skip the video if it doesn't interest you.
Honestly it’s not the cars that you review that we enjoy so much, it’s the presenters. So many videos I watched and didn’t care much about the cars I just wanted to laugh with both of you, see what you think, and just feel joyful and grateful. We love you both man.
These guys are literally the worst reviewers together. They have no chemistry and are constantly not agreeing almost ever. Throttle house is peak auto review plus amazing presenters with lots of chemistry. And I have to admits it’s not Yuri that’s the issue I think Jacob just thinks he knows too much about cars and comes off extremely snarky and arrogant.
@@LiquidGas0This sums up why I stopped watching their review channel a few years ago. I always got a weird vibe from them and felt other creators had more enthusiastic chemistry.
I've owned 4 different Toyota minivans in my lifetime and I have zero children. I approve of this video.
That you know of..... Hi Isaac!
Really happy to see Yuri reviewing normal (kinda boring but totally necessary vehicles). Way to go Yuri and please keep testing the cars and minivans that the majority of us actually own and drive, regardless of what we may fantasize about driving (as there's no way we could own them).
Subbed to this channel, but I would never watch straight pipes video. Too silly for me.
Anyone unsub because of minivans are idiots.
I am a through and through car guy and daily drive a manual in the States, but I am also a father and a very proud owner of a 2016 Kia Sedona minivan. It is absolutely a MVP in my stable as MPV ! It is the top of the line SXL and would never let go of it. So practical, reliable and comfortable for everyone, can easily fit 8 people and all of our gears for long distance drive...
The main channel totally should put forth the normal cars, why be ashamed of it because of a couple of idiots out there...
Those unsub dont deserve to b part of your channel...
Totally, I concur. I would think that car people would know to appreciate the value of any vehicle. Maybe I’m wrong? 😊
Folding power mirrors are a must.
Apparantly the Sienna Hybrid is an excellent vehicle for car camping! For the most part, the car stays silent with the battery powering the Air conditioning/heat-- and only going on for short periods to charge up the battery again-- plus very large space inside!🎉🎉
I can imagine it beats the prius -- so much room. I would love to see some custom builds where they add house like amenities to the Sienna Hybrid.
Not even a fan of vans but I’ll support just cause people unsubscribe from the main channel
Dope. A channel for cars people buy. That sienna setup is pretty annoying, I would lose the 360 cam and take the odyssey.
who tf unsubscribes bc of a van review...
@$$hats unsub because of normal car reviews
Whoever unsubbed wasn’t a good audience anyway. Bring back boring vehicles
They’re here now!
Thing about siennas is you buy em for life. My 2011 (220k miles) trumps all in roadtrip comfort and utility, so that’s its only role now. Commuting in a cheap fun 6 speed Fit so I can keep the Sienna for family road trips. Makes a great rolling ski lodge. Never seen one rust, and the previous gen V6 can rip
Supercar reviews are cool and all but these reviews are practical and informative. We’re new parents too so always looking for this kind of content. Wtg!
Is this not the limited? Title says XLE. But great review nonetheless. My dream family car.
I don't have kids so i will probably never buy a minivan. But as a diehard "car guy" i fully support minivan ownership. They are the best tool for so many jobs, and road trips in a minivan are fantastic. It's a shame so many people dismiss them before even trying one.
More "boring" car and economy car reviews please!
Car reviews belong on the Straight Pipe channel, please. Boring cars are what people buy.
Putting your kid rear facing, folded in half with her legs up like that is wild lol
I had a very early Swagger Waggon Sienna btw. I liked the swagger.
Horsepower and torque and sliding minivan doors!!!
Unsubbing form minivans? Your sub count has continued to grow for years. What stats were you going off of?
They are the absolute authority of hybrid motors.
As a fellow Canuck dad near 40 I truly appreciate your review. American reviews just ain't the same.
A family minivan without safety sense 3.0. Toyota dropped the ball
Naw it’s not possible with the old computers
I find it amusing that some people feel threatened by the Straight Pipes' review of a minivan. Although I'm a subscriber, I don't watch many of their reviews because I can't afford a $200K supercar or luxury SUV. However, I enjoy watching their reviews of practical, realistically affordable vehicles like the Sienna. Most of us can't own a fleet of cars tailored to specific needs, so we have to compromise and choose a vehicle that can multitask. Personally, the Sienna fits the bill perfectly. It has Toyota's trademark quality, fuel-efficient engines, ample space for passengers and cargo, and it can tow my 3500lb boat and utility trailer. I could replace my SUV and pickup with it and maybe make space for a future vanity vehicle. If the other boys make fun of me for driving a "mom car," so be it. After all, my mom is usually the better man anyway.
The van hate needs to end. Also why the hate?
Those body lines; they started on the first gen Toyota Matrix. Seriously, take a look haha.
David Tracy wrote a great article on minivans and it’s so true. It’s the hardest working vehicle out there.
Ha! There's probably a larger audience for minivans and practical family haulers. =)
Why would they even unsubscribe becuz of a car?😂
Toyota van is nice my coworker has 1 I like it. It's very quiet too..
Brown is my favorite color ..
I have been waiting for this review from TSP, glad you still made it happen for us Yuri!!
Subscribe and I’ll review whatever you request next
I have a 2023 Ford Transit AWD Ecoboost if ya looking for more van content :)
Great review, and glad you talked about the brake pedal feel. I cannot handle the Toyota hybrids where the last few feet of braking may or may not be a sudden neck jerking stop.
Ya this one felt alright. Nothing dealbreaker weird
Sliding doors kids can't slam doors against other cars and take up less space in garage.
Great video! My dad owned a first generation Sienna and 25 years later.. I am a proud owner of a 25th anniversary Sienna. You’ll appreciate all the features a minivan has to offer when they’re traveling with 2+ toddlers 😂 #dadlife
I have two kids and the best thing about a van is sliding doors, and sliding the captain seats back further, and folding the third row down so you have a big yet still accessible trunk. SOOOO easy for the kids to get in and out. You can also haul a TON of crap with all the seats out. I moved so much stuff that would normally need a truck. I think this in black, AWD, with a slightly bigger winter tire would be siiiick for a daily here in Utah.
They all are cars, love them all 😀
People who don't like mini vans have never had one and probably never even driven one. And I guarantee you they don't have big dogs or things to haul around. You can throw in the Great Danes and all the camping gear and still have room for a bicycle and it's not all out in the open like a pickup truck. I have owned everything and am going back to the van!
Yuri I'm subscribed to your own channel. You're all I need.
Happy to watch a Canadian review (eh! ;-)) of the Sienna ! Ordered an XSE AWD in August 2022 (Gatineau, QC)! And we will finally get it next week ! I drive a Chevy Bolt but with the family, can’t settle on a bigger EV (pricey, not that big, didn’t want to pick a Model Y) so we decided to go with a Sienna (while we will continue to maximize the usage of the Bolt EV). It’s a pure Toyota, not fully high-tech (my Bolt 360 camera system is better… but it’s a 2017 car!) but the reliability should be there on a long term.
if honda have a hybrid minivans i will choose it than siena
I was saved in a car accident cuz I sat in the back back the car got crumpled except the rear and I was fine everyone else was rushed to the hospital the rear of the vehicle is the safest because most accidents come from the side or front not the rear and most accidents from the rear are small fender benders usually someone not stopping quick enough so the back is most likely the safest
Ya eh
The five major Japanese automakers collectively committed fraud and demanded a refund and three times the compensation!
Hell ya
Trust me, reviewing minivans or "boring cars" is not the reason, you're losing subscribers on Pipes
What is the reason. Because we never change or because we’re not the same as we used to be
What do you think of the Ford Transit Connect Titanium as an alternative?
Thought it was snow in that profile pic😂, infooorma!!!!!😂
sad to hear about the minivan hate but i'm glad that this is still here
yalls think it is worth the price right now? Limited is $10k more than the Carnival and Odyssey's top trims.. At $3.50/gallon gas, that's a breakeven point of 14 years. Far more if we're comparing Platinum with the other top trims.
Maaaannnn are any of these really worth it
@@YuriTereshyn you have a good point there, sir. haha
Love a mini-van, an AWD one of these is definitely going to replace my 2014 odyssey at some point
Nice exterior color bronzed out & it passed the famed visor test
Mini van mafia
This is by far the best car review for a family car enthusiat like me
Thanks!
Subscription to use the app 🤮🤮🤮
Bro it’s limited and not xle model.
I dig the color. We just bought a Kia Carnival. Impossible to get a Sienna without a long wait or crazy markup, the Odyssey is just about the ugliest thing on the road, and we had so many problems with the infotainment system when we rented a Pacifica. Keep those boring and cheap car reviews coming! Luxury SUV reviews are a dime a dozen.
I’ve had a 21 AWD Limited 3 years now and still loving my Sienna! I can get 1200+ kms on 68L tank here in Southern Ontario May-Oct then lose 30% in winter. I timed the purchase very well in 21 ditching my F150 5.0 4x4 and had a 5 week wait for Sienna at the time, now it could be 2 years. So many rip offs of folks taking new and selling for $10k over list as “used” with 50km on them.
We purchased this vehicle in 2021. Ours is a Platinum which has some features I think you missed but you got most of them. We love our van. We've driven it across the country twice and it gets great gas mileage. We've used it for a hotel when one couldn't be found and appreciate the largeness of the van when we are moving fix up materials for the house, be it yard or buildings. I wish they had put a step that came out on the sides so we could more easily assess the skybox and the utility racks on top. Ours is the green color which also has the reflective specks in the paint job. Love that paint job. Ours has held its value. I would suggest to anyone living where they salt the roads or anyone living by the coast to have the vehicle ceramic coated. Thanks for the overview of the 2024. Good job!
The old Sienna had a much better engine and interior. When we test drove this new one, it felt underpowered and dangerously slow at merging. This new one also has shitty hard plastics everywhere. Hard pass for the price and wait.
Childseat tilt should be standard in every 3 row as well as 3 seats in the middle row for every trim. Sliding doors in Sienna seems to be narow / do not open fully.
Making the child sit like that because her facial bones aren't developed enough and might get more injured in some unforeseen accident is ludicrous...I had to rewind to believe what I was seeing. She is way too tall to be sitting like that, she's almost tall enough for a booster seat. If she's buckled up, how is her face going to smash into anything? The third row would be more comfortable but the second row is safer, but you made such a huge deal about those airbags not being safe...but normal kids aren't sitting with their feet up next to those airbags.
My dude, you're being "that" parent...overthinking her safety....it's not gonna be good for her in the future.
03:31 ....WTF??!! Lmao...I've never seen this before, is this a Canadian thing, to make children suffer like that in the name of facial bone structure not being fully developed??😂 Unbelievable.
Loved the review though, thanks for doing it, liked and subscribed...screw Jacub, Mr. normal car acceleration doesn't do anything for me anymore.😆✌️
I have no kids, I consider myself a minivan enthusiast, least until Honda decides to remake the Honda Element with a hybrid :)
