- I wanted to be a full-time photographer, filmmaker, videographer, and RUclipsr for a very long time. However, I was not able to do so because money is an object to live with, and I have financial responsibilities. I did not give up and followed certain principles, which I shared at the end of this video. These principles helped me to grow gradually and achieve my goal of quitting my corporate 9 to 5 job and following my passion full-time. This short film is my life story and my effort to motivate you to follow your dreams by working hard and smart.

As a small channel I feel good to watch other small creators. Our channels have something true and organic. Probably the algorythim noticed that there is a lack of authenticity nowadays

I graduated in 2021 and after one rollercoaster of jobs within just 3 years, I've been unemployed since May 2024. . I was a slow learner but man,oh,man am I grateful for everything I learned in past 3 years. I learned things about happiness, life and the corporate world that people usually learn after 10+ years in the industry.
Was at my lowest after being drained by the most toxic, but got the help I needed from the kindest. Now I'm on the last 2 weeks of my depression medication and the progress I've made (thanks to those kindest humans in my life) has made me stronger than ever. Muji, when you said "don't be afraid of walking slowly", you couldn't be more right. Each of us are walking in our own timelines. Own yours!

High five sir! I’m on a similar journey. While I haven’t quit my job yet (I work in tech too) I’ve started to create on RUclips and explore my creative expression here. I recently started a separate channel and got monetized in less than 3 months ( that’s sounds weird…I’m not one of those weird people selling anything). My point is.. I got out of my own way and started making things and it WORKED. Best of luck to you.

This certainly resonates. I've been in IT for almost 30 years. What I used to enjoy now absolutely sucks the life out of me. I dread waking up each morning and somethings get physically ill. I utterly despise it. Photography is my escape. It's the only time that I can truly clear my mind and not be distracted by thoughts of work.

Spent the past 15 years working on big feature films (VFX artist) up to being a supervisor. The industry slowed down so I was let go 6 weeks ago and having been long removed from the creative parts of the industry (supervision brings more financial rewards but takes you further from the actual art) I have decided to finally take the leap I have long wanted to and try to chase my dream of making a living with my camera in hand. Who knows how it will end up but I fear the regret of not trying more than I fear failure. I am in my late 40's and not getting younger but I also have a lot of experience making beautiful things for other people, so it only feels right to try doing that for myself. Honestly, this video touched my soul.
In a moment of desperation, I have spent years trying to enter the corporate world, searching for that "financial security."
It is very difficult to get a job in Latin America, no matter how many studies you have, or how much you try to get ahead, there is always a wall that stands in the way, and the doubts between continuing to fight to achieve stability or launching into the creative world and pursuing my dreams. It was one of the biggest impediments, and everything got worse with the pandemic.
Among all the videos I have watched to try to "motivate" myself to move forward, this is the one that has touched my soul the most and decided to take the step.
This video helped me realize that every small step, even if it was insignificant and seemed like it was not moving forward, is one more step towards a great purpose, I simply must leave my fears trust in the process and move forward...

Hey Muji, The lighting in your videos is amazing. I connected with your story immediately. I too was in tech for 20 years and am now a full time creative. I agree our culture and education system pushes us in directions we might not be naturally fit for, but I don't regret my choices.
